Our experience wasn’t as great as prior visits. The ambience continues to be outstanding as was our server. The four of us enjoyed our dinners but felt they weren’t worthy of 5 stars due to the portion and price. The menu has definitely been changed from the prior owners. Additionally, there was a table of rather loud patrons which was annoying as was the live entertainment for the evening, even though the music was coming from an adjacent room.

We chose to come here to celebrate my wife’s birthday. We arrived early and were able to enjoy a cocktail in the bar area first Our table for two was ready on time and the setting was very romantic The service was very attentive and my wife felt very special. Our dinners were absolutely delicious! After dinner we enjoyed a jazz trio in the lounge. I would recommend this restaurant for a birthday, anniversary or special occasion.

We were there for an early valentines dinner. My three boys (13,9&7), we took my wife. Everything was great during our 2 hours. Our boys are use to going to nice places. They never rushed us and the staff was outstanding. Number of them commented on how the boys were during dinner. They were the only kids in the entire restaurant. We enjoyed our evening, everything was great. When leaving, manager commented to my wife and I on how impressed he was with our boys. Gave us a gift certificate to come back again. Unexpected gesture, completely unnecessary but a class act. Will be back again to experience outside during nice weather. Highly recommend for any occasion.

The Log Cabin was such a treasure to find in Lancaster. It has a wonderful atmosphere and the food was excellent. It is rich in history and our server was very enthusiastic when sharing it with us. We'd like to check out the lounge on an evening when they have live music.

For many years we enjoyed the Log Cabin with friends, and business associates. Renowned for the finest steaks around, as well as their full menu, this was a place you could enjoy the best Lancaster County could offer. The rib eye steak, a $48 entre, was over cooked, tepid, and chewy with gristle. Most dissappinted...

This was my third time dining at the Log Cabin & my only regret is not having found it sooner.
The atmosphere is quiet & comfortable. The service is attentive without being bothersome. The cocktails are reasonable, with a variety of offerings.
The lamb is delicious, the pork shoulder is Excellent, but the 21 day aged Ribeye steak is second to None!!!
I'm not even going to look at the menu on my next visit.
Ribeye all the way.

We were so disappointed, 4 of us ordered steak, and they were all burnt. WHAT
At the price we paid? This is probably the third time we've been here, no more.
If I pay outrageous prices i at least don't want to feel as though I was ripped off.
Service was great

I have been going to the Log Cabin for many years and this new version is not what it used to be. The waitress was a bit flustered, dinners used to include a house salad and vegetable, now both are an extra. The steak was fine but with a few potato quarters just not the $40 dinner it should be. Ambiance in the original dining rooms is great.

Took my wife here to celebrate her birthday. Last visit there was over 25 years ago, they have upgraded the place well. This visit was outstanding with excellent food and service but a bit pricey. Very unique ambiance and decor. Our 2 Meals (filet for her crab-cake for me) exceeded $120 with 2 drinks no dessert or appetizer. Will go back but for special occasions after I save up a bit. A very nice change from family, sports or chain restaurants.

The restaurant did not seem to be busy but our server, who was very nice, seemed rushed. The lobster bisque and lobster cobb salad were average. The Salmon oscar was good and the sticky toffee cake was great. When we go out to eat, we almost always sample several appetizers/salads and then share an entree. We did not ask the kitchen to split our salad or our entree but they did so and charged us $12. We will likely not return although the place has a great ambiance with a bar that has a huge fireplace.

Our recent Sunday brunch at The Log Cabin was a wonderful experience. I appreciated the creativity associated with the menu....blue cheese waffles... and all of our selections were prepared well, arrived hot and were very good. There was a small crowd, which worked well since we could hear each other talk.

Very nice look forward to planning another trip. Definitely if price is an issue not an everyday or multiple days a week venu. We didn’t see lunch or bar menu which may address these things. Super for dinner on our anniversary. Service was paced for relaxed evening so you can enjoy each course and have some conversation during the meal. Wait staff friendly and professional. We had a small issue which was handled well by owner and waitress. Received a tour of the extensive building with dining options and opened ideas of planning a event with lodge. It was a trip to get there but worth the drive and experience.
Looking for a romantic evening it is the place to go. Enjoy all new adventures.

Cozy and rustic with a roaring fireplace just what I was looking for for the holidays. Bar area was so inviting and drinks very excellent. Our steaks and duck were excellent also. Four people in our group and everyone loved it. We all cannot wait to go back this time for the music (piano) on Friday and Saturday.
