   I took my mum for lunch with my sister and we had a table booked in the restaurant. We were given the option of sitting in the bar area if we wanted to which we did. If was really pleasant and the staff were lovely. Food was tasty and great value for money

   This was my second visit to The Old Bull Inn , and enjoyed it just as much the second time . It was easy to book a table and when we got there the table was ready , you choose what you want and order at the bar which was fine it wasn’t overly busy being midweek . There was 4 of us in my party so we chose differently, I had scampi and chips as did my friend, my husband chose lamb shank ( which he had on our previous visit) and my friend’s husband chose sausage and mash , the food was served piping hot , good sized portions and presented really well , there was not greasiness from the scampi and chips , they were divine. I had a lovely Pinot Grigio wine with my meal which was very quaffable , then came deserts which we all raved about , 2 had cherry Bakewell (which was warmed slightly ) and ice-cream and 2 had berry crumble and custard.We then had coffees which again were excellent. It’s a lovely venue, we were lucky to get parked in the inns car park , we were there for over 2 and half hours but we’re not asked to move after the 2 hours . Absolutely worth the 5 stars I have given, it was a delightful meal and we thoroughly enjoyed our time , can’t wait to go back , worth the hour travelling time . Very nice welcoming atmosphere, and lovely staff , even allow dogs in which I always think is a bonus ( it was the bar area) .

   Went in on a whim after son’s rugby match. Great food at a very reasonable price. Carvery was brilliant. Will visit again if we are in the area

   Lovely food and atmosphere. Service was slow compared to previous visits (clearing the table) but wouldn't put us off returning.

   Went to restaurant to meet friends and were given two round tables pushed together which wasn’t very good for four people. We were not made aware there was a party going on. Was very unhappy we were put on two round tables for four when there was a free table by reception that was free all evening and would also have been a lot quieter. But waitress was brilliant and went over and above in her role. Would give he 5* if I knew her name, ( she wore a black wrist support)

   Everything was just ok. Food not great quality when compared with price. This place is hardly budget but the Carvery felt like it.

    Waited 30 minutes just to get a drink, was going to have the carvery but people in front of us complaining so we decided to order off of the menu. The drinks were taken off of the bill due to the long wait, and the food was very good, but service from waitresses was very poor. There were only two tables in the restaurant so the service should have been excellent, which it was not.
