We had a great experience at the sunday supper! Service was great! We enjoyed everyone's company and hospitality. We were the first party to arrive for supper so the bartender and owner came out to greet us, give us the story of the restaurant and recipes. All in all, wholesome experience. We will be coming back!

This is one of my favorite restaurants! The food is an amazing experience every time. The ambience is quiet, beautiful and peaceful and the staff is phenomenal. Each time is an experience! The wine pairings are great too, just wished they poured more of it, since it is sooo good. Thanks for the amazing time!

The tasting menu, wine pairings, and service are truly outstanding, making this restaurant one of the very finest in the whole Washington area. The restaurant's location on a mountain top with a view of the river in the near distance adds its own special touch to an extraordinary eating experience. We come here as often as we can.

The food was SUPERB, let me start with that, but the ambiance was incongruent with the food and there was a major faux pas. The restaurant is on top of a small knoll overlooking the Potomac River, but it’s up a dirt/gravel road with COVID safe outdoor seating surrounded by weeds and not enough heaters to go around. Our service was very good and the food was amazing until we got to the entree. We asked for a pescatarian meal and it was confirmed before we arrived and when we were seated that we were dining Pescatarian, our menu even said ‘Pescatarian Menu’ at the top. Everything we ate seemed pescatarian, until it was time for the entree and we were served the lamb entree, we questioned it with the server and it was whisked away . . . minutes later a beet plopped on Tofu sauce appeared. It definitely seemed like a throw together and we were disappointed to say the least. Dessert was a save, but we left a bit unsatisfied. We drove almost two hours because we had heard such wonderful things. I’ll repeat the food was OUTSTANDING, but with this quality we expected more attention to detail and could have easily overlooked the lack of ambience.

Thank you for taking the time to review our restaurant. You are correct with your observation of gravel driveway, mowing - rain delays - heaters for every guest . We do have an alternative with seating in the conservatory in case of inclement weather. There is no excuse for the mistake of serving you the lamb. I have spoken to all the staff. A great place to celebrate my wife's birthday. Of course, the printed menus and well wishes from the staff on her birthday were very welcomed. We continue to be impressed with the service. Our waiter and his supporting cast were attentive and informative. This is a restaurant where the story about the source of the food and combination of the ingredients confirms what you are tasting. It is great to have so many courses (9) and just the right amount of food in each so you leave satisfied, but not stuffed. We can't wait to go back for another great experience.

Our second visit. Attentive service and, as we expected, delicious and interesting food we would never get at home. We loved the root vegetable "capuccino" and the fluke.

The quality of the meal was mixed. Soup and fish were great. Steak was lukewarm and flavorless. Service was spotty and provided by different waiters. It took a long time for a second glass of wine to show up, and that took a second request to a second waiter. Price was $360 for three people, ok for a first-rate meal but not this one. We probably will not go back.

The food was good to great. We had one entree that was overcooked and dry (lamb). The cut of meat was fabulous but it was a real disappointment. Chickpea salad was dry too. On the other hand the trout was a memorable treat.

However, the biggest disappointment was the service. The drinks took forever to be served and one was incorrect. Then the replacement took another forever. One guest is a vegetarian which I made clear at reservation but she was served a crabcake with the soup. Course was fabulous but poor service. With bread we received no plates - had to request. The coffee was served a bit late and it was warm not hot.

We had a delightful experience with a highly attentive staff with a emphasis on presentation of a delicious progressive meal. To enhance the experience, we were lucky to enjoy an incredible view of the Point of Rocks bridge over the Potomac on their patio area with our own personal space heater. Can’t wait to take more house guests to enjoy this locally sourced delight!

Enjoyed a wonderful birthday dinner for husband. As with all Farm to Table restaurant, the Chef prides on bringing locally grown seasonal ingredients and incorporated them into delicious dishes he prepared highlighting the star ingredients. The entire wait staff is very helpful, professional and knowledgable. We will definitely return for other meals in the future and looking forward to dining outside once it warms up and the weather permits!

As always this restaurant is amazing. Service is great, food is excellent, view is spectacular. I would recommend to try vichyssoise. Trout is great. Dark Chocolate Pavlova is exactly as I remember it from my childhood (many moons ago). Strongly recommend to visit this place.

Second visit--One of the best meals EVER! Compares favorably with several Michelin restaurants we have dined at. Service was excellent and not overbearing. The progression of dishes which included a "roots" course; striper brandade; gnocchi(fabulous feta dressing); pork belly(rhubarb and salmon for the pescatarian) and two scrumptious desserts--plus a couple of more courses made for a "just enough food" dinner that left us saying "this needs to be a monthly event." Kudos to the Beverley Billand (owner and hostess) and new (6 month's on site) chef Vincent Badiee.

The vichyssoise delightful; the whole trout delectable; the desserts sinful. In short, as always the kitchen knocks it out of the park. But... service was a touch off, we felt like an afterthought, not helped by the fact we were told "I'll be your server 'after all' "... Alas. Patowmack Farms remains my favorite Sunday brunch place and I look forward to my next outing there.

The food was great and well presented. The portion was a bit small but loved the flavor of each course. However, the server who helped us that day was not friendly and she did not serve the food but different people come and go while other servers were interacted with their customers and explain about the dish with details. When cleaning plates, she looked other way and it seemed she almost tried not to make any eye contact with us. Other servers who came to our table with food were friendly. Without them, I would have felt very unpleasant and uncomfortable feeling during the entire dinner. I would love to come back if the service is better next time.

Friend and I came for brunch. We were the only ones there to start. I had dined there once before and had raved to my friend about the food. It was disappointing this time .. the food was fine but not on par with my last visit. The coffee and food temperature could have been hotter. The view is fantastic and I will probably go again just for the view but I expected more.

I was so excited to go back to this spot. My husband and I had been there a few times prior and it was one of our absolute favorites. Due to COVID it had been shut down for a little while, and just recently it opened it doors again. I immediately booked our reservation, and it just happened to be around our anniversary.

We arrived a little early for our reservation, but were sat right away. The tables were spaced apart nicely and the staff was very conscientious regarding social distancing and masks. When we sat down we were given the personalized menu (always a wonderful touch), but it was 1/3 of what it normally is. The last couple times we had been there they had the "grown / raised / farmed" menus to choose from, but this time there was only one list. The beverage / wine list seemed very small as well. Unfortunately the menu only had a few things that I really enjoyed - and the items that I did enjoy were just ok. Nothing about the menu left me wanting more. I remember being sad when my dinner was finished the last time we were there, but this time I didn't have the same feeling. We both did the wine pairing and the wines were good, but not great and often the pour was very, very small - and typically one of our glasses had much less than the other. Also, the wines would come out way before the course, and it would be gone by the time the food arrive (there was a significant lull at times - fine if we have enough wine to drink). Our bill was a little over $300 for two people, $370 after tip. For the amount of money spent, we just did not feel we got what we had come for. I know this is still covid and they just reopened, but if this menu is going to be the norm, I am not sure if I will come back.

*I would not recommend Restaurant at Patowmack Farm to a friend until they bring back their traditional menu style (3 choices).

The dinner could not have gone better. Great view next to the windows, a warm mini-fireplace near the table. Great service and the food was very accommodating to my dietary restrictions while remaining gourmet quality.

We had a marvelous and truly one-of-a-kind dinner tonight. The chef's tasting menu was creative and beautifully plated. This was not the work of any typical chef--it was edible art. It was truly inspired. The wine pairings were spot on. Service was exemplary. We will be back many times and can't wait to see what the next menu is like!
