   We enjoyed an absolutely beautiful Spring evening on the patio! Our server, Benjamin, was attentive, engaging, and helpful with choices. Our food and wine were excellent. We will return next year when we are back in Sarasota.

   We had a wonderful dinner! Our server Shana was very attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu. We enjoyed sitting on the patio and listening to the music. Can’t wait to go back!

   WAY OVERPRICED. $48 for filet mignon steak medium rare didn’t have one drop of juices or flavor. Don’t recommend if you want flavor to your food. Save your money and find another place.

   We sat outside. It was a beautiful night. Our waiter, Timmy, was fantastic! Food was good - especially loved the flourless chocolate cake! We will definitely be going back!

   Nice, quiet background music, beautiful outdoor courtyard, excellent service and delicious food. We go often, but took friend who had never been before, and they were very very happy.

    This is a really lovely restaurant. GREAT server. Owner came by to check on us. Service was provided promptly and thoroughly. Food was good with only one exception which was likely due just to the preferences of the diner. Prices are high but the experience and food were really terrific. We will definitely return for special occasions.

    Everything seemed promising, except that we waited for an hour to be served our entrees, and they never arrived. We had to leave after more than an hour without eating in order to make our nearby theater performance. We had budgeted 90 minutes for dinner at the restaurant and were seated 15 minutes earlier than our reservation (total = 105 minutes.). Other patrons seated near us who arrived after we did received their entree orders.The waiter was apologetic, and he did not require payment for our drinks and a salad. We were very disappointed but hope to try again in the future.

    Lovely spot for outdoor dining. Service is always outstanding. Food is just OK. Our Caesar salad, while large enough to split, had a very bland dressing. The $40-plus grouper entrees were also oddly bland, and while the wonderful servers were happy to have one that was overcooked re-done, the replacement was also overcooked and bland. The accompanying asparagus were excellent. There is an excellent selection of wines by the glass. Overall, food is just adequate , but the service, ambiance and location may overcome this. We would recommend this restaurant to those not primarily particular about food, who are looking for lovely outdoor dining, a bit away from the madness of downtown Sarasota. Street parking is usually easy, and that (plus being open on Sundays) makes it a convenient option before or after theater up at the Ringling complex on North Tamiami Trail.

    My wife and I have eaten here previously over the last few years. Our meal last night, with two friends joining us, was as good as any we’ve had here. We all started with soups, perhaps given the unseasonably chilly weather, which were both outstanding starters. There is a reason the meatloaf remains on the menu year after year; it is justifiably popular. Fish dishes were were imaginative and delicious. Our waiter was charming professional. Three minor criticisms: I drink a lot of water during my meal, but no matter how much I drink, I shouldn’t have to ask repeatedly to be filled up. Second, the use of metal Martini “glasses” (I don’t know if they are stainless steel or aluminum) should be outlawed. Martinis need to be very cold, and stay cold while enjoying it. Metal vessels transfer cold from the drink to the container; glass is an insulator and is much better at keeping a properly made martini cold. It’s an affectation here that should be done away with. Final minor criticism: providing the amount of the tip for various percentages on the credit card receipt is fine, but the amount shouldn’t be computed including the sales tax.

    We were quickly seated at our table, and the server came over immediately to introduce yourself. Our drinks arrived rapidly, and then we were asked whether we would like to have an appetizer to share, which we did. The food as always was really great.

    Our server was very nice and personable, but absent from the table, except for taking our order. Fish was very over cooked, as were the eggs. I never received the side of aioli I asked for, and the grits each of the four of us ordered were wrong. Some had jalapeños, some had cheese and some had none. We will not go back!!

    It was a great experience dining for the first time. Our server, Andrew, was superb! The restaurant has a great selection. I opted for the duck which was cooked to perfection. I recommend the bread pudding for dessert.

    Was looking forward to a really nice dining experience. Was everything but. For these prices one would/should expect a superior dining experience. Place is very attractive, especially the outside patio. This is where it ends. Cocktails were terrible. Sent back and came back a second time terrible. Bronzino special at $43 was a very small portion, bland and nothing special. Salmon came out raw, was sent back and then came out totally overcooked. Unacceptable. Bill came and was incorrect in a number of line items. Waiter was nice guy but clueless. Will never return. At these prices there are too many alternative restaurants in Sarasota to choose from. We eat out often and enjoy many of the high end restaurants here. Rosemary & Thyme is not one of them.

    Scott was an excellent waiter- restaurant does need more staff however. Excellent food - scallops cooked perfectly and fish soup was perfect. Ate outdoors has live music.

    The Caesar was good. The Thai shrimp and Portabello entree were not good. Left most on my plate and waiter did not ask if it was good. A waste of money Was with a friend and did not want to send back. Too many types of veggies in the quinoa. More simple would have been better. Expensive for what we got and I was very disappointed in the food. Not sure I would go back again.

    We love this restaurant, but our last visit prior to this the calamari was mixed in the kitchen and was much better than this visit. The bread pudding was the best I’ve eaten anywhere. Our server was very professional and took care to make certain we were comfortable!

    No one ever made a comment that it was my birthday and the actual day too. I asked about a table that was quiet in the main dining room as it was a special night. The reception person never read any of my requests. In dining room to the right at the end where all the service staff has glassware and people walk in to sit or go the restroom. Our waiter was nice and the duck and the wasabi crusted halibut were very good. Why ask if it’s a special occasion or a special request if no one reads it?
