The Stewart is an intimate bar-and-lounge in the heart of Easton, MD, with an unparalleled focus on the very finest of single malt Scotch whiskeys and vintage Champagnes. Upon entrance, guests are transported to a sphere of sheer refinement and spirit sophistication where one of the most impressive assemblages of Scotch in America is gloriously ensconced in the eloquent Federal Street enclave. An elegant evening progresses in an atmosphere of updated and distinguished Highland splendor: gleaming dark woods, handsomely refurbished period seating, gilt-framed oil paintings of Highland scenes, an intricately pargeted plaster ceiling, and, naturally, tartans galore. A crackling fire in the cooler months provides cozy ambient undertones within an 18th century walnut and brass trumeau chimney.

Great lounge for cocktails and champagne. Try the fried olives and, if you’re down to indulge, the burger. Worth the mess and EVERY decadent calorie.

Love the experience and the food. Serving staff were amazing and created a special night. Only feedback is the size of table, chair, bench...I felt like I was in a child's seat and looking up at my husband. Overall-amazing food and staff.

We stayed in town for a few nights and found this restaurant online. I wish I knew the vibe before I booked. The food was great but the staff was pretentious. My husband asked for a scotch-based drink called a bobby burns and was told no, with no explanation, and very rudely. The waitress took our plates and food after we told her we weren't done yet and the overall attitude of the staff was a complete turnoff. We felt rushed and the staff was rude. Luckily we don't live near this town and will not be back.

One of our favorites in Easton and we experienced their new expanded menu and dined outside. I think we tried everything on the menu including hand crafted cocktails, fried olives, short rib grilled cheese followed by an amazing corn chowder with lobster, strip steak, crabcake and burger were also part of the feast with the unmatchable service staff of Kelsey (sp), Emma and Adam! First class all the way!

The food and ambience are excellent. Unfortunately our experience was negatively affected due to the utter rudeness of our server. She intended to seat us next to a couple in a less desirable place while a lovely spot was completely free. Her manner did not improve at any point. She clearly decided we were not up to her standards. We were Well dressed and are accustomed to fine dining and providing generous gratuities. We chose not to do so due to her attitude towards us.

The steak was beyond perfection. Defer to the chef for the temperature. Crabcakes were meaty and delicious. Ambience is cozy and service is top notch. Definitely a destination must.

We love this restaurant, but this Saturday night they were definitely having a service issue. The wine and whisky folks were great, but our main server was not friendly, and there was an hour wait between the starters and the mains. And there were no updates as to what was happening - we had to ask. But as always, great food, great drinks, great wine, great atmosphere.

Outstanding from start to finish. Bas Rouge and The Wardroom are also off the charts.

We were 30 minutes late due to a flat tire but they were gracious and we were seated promptly. The Stewart is not a large space but is very inviting. The service was excellent from the server and the bar tender who delivered some of the drinks himself. We never had to wait for anything yet service was not intrusive. The cheese board presentation was lovely and tasty. There was plenty of two types of bread. We both had the NY strip and it was served in thin slices that melted in our mouths. The meal came out at the correct temperature. We came here at the advice of our son based on their extensive scotch selection and it did not disappoint. I started out with Kilchoman Loch Gorm and then had a Rob Roy. Husband had Lagavulin 16 followed by a mixed drink we have never had - The Winston - which was quite tasty. The only thing not perfect was the seating. The tables are low and have a large base so you have to be careful eating so as not to have food fall in your lap and there is little room for your feet and legs. I would return when in the area but I might just sit at the bar.
