Very good small bites. Limited, but very good, full entree menu.
First time, were really excited by the decor that I saw on yelp !
Unfortunately the experience was not the one that I was expecting...
Welcome pretty great, were able to change of table 2 times, special thanks to the hostess. I think that was the only positive point of the night.
In total 5 waiters, 1 hostess, 2 bartenders and 1 person who might be the manager for a floor that count 3 tables (8 pax). Spending more time to speak with each other that taking care of customers...
The first waiter was almost rude when we decided to order cocktail. I didn’t appreciate the way he was speaking to us, that’s why I decided to change of section.
The others were ok, except that we get food without silverware and wait for 10 min before getting the opportunity to wave a server...
The food was not tasty, too bad because the plates look actually good on picture...
Ordered the croquette: probably frozen from my point of view and a crab cake, not sure it contain crab.
When we were done with our main, we wanted to order some desert, but the server didn’t offer the opportunity at the moment and came back 15 min later to ask, too late for us we decided to leave.
It’s not because the activity is slow that it’s time to chill !! We will never come back or recommend it for sure.
Great food drink & service! Various parking options and within walking distance of theater & Geffen Playhouse.
The food was great, but the service was lacking. Took awhile to take our order. My friend wanted some hot tea, server came back after we order and said they had run out of tea pots. Asked if she wanted tea in just a glass.
i’m a regular here - always good
AWESOME PLACE. WOULD GO BACK FOR SURE, MATTER A FACT LOOKING FOR THE NEXT FREE WEEKEND TO GO BACK LOL. SERVICE WAS COOL, DRINK WAS ON POINT. NICE PLACE!!!
The Sunday brunch was good however there were too many breakfast items are very few lunch items if that's what you wanted at 3 in the afternoon.
We've been here several times, it's lovely and the food is always top notch.
Very creative and delicious with a fun atmosphere!
very disappointed. food in the theater is good, but not good at the restaurant
My husband and I attempted to dine at Tuck Room Tavern on Friday, only to be deafened by the volume of the music. When you have to shout at your dining partner to be heard it doesn't bode well for a good meal. It was so loud, we couldn't stay long enough to order, because I was starting to get a headache, and I'm not prone to them. I've eaten a few times at this restaurant and have enjoyed the menu and the service, but this was intolerable, and I won't be returning. I think the management needs to decide if they're a restaurant or a nightclub.
Had tickets for the Geffen and wanted to try something different than Napa Valley for a change. Decided to just have a bunch of appetizers instead of a big meal. Cocktails were tasty and the big stand out was the Pork Belly Lettuce Wraps. Probably just getting old but the music was really loud! I'd try it again.
Very good ambiance, but the main course food was too oily. Crab cakes were delicious though. Prepare to spend, but if you need a good date place, this is a great spot.
Excellent ambiance, service and food. All my friends loved the restaurant.
We had a blast celebrating a bon voyage retirement for a dear friend at The Tuck Room Tavern! Ambience was terrific as was the service, food and drink.
I love Tuck Room Tavern. The atmosphere is cozy, the food innovative and well prepared, and you couldn't ask for better service.
Having said that, the music is often much too loud to be able to hear your dining companion without raising your voice, and the noise really detracts from the overall experience. Please turn down the volume!
Super-swanky bar with high-end food and drinks that offers an extra special vibe with it's beautiful decor and attentive service.
Our server Lee was outstanding. He helped us navigate the menu with the perfect selections. The drinks were amazing as well as all of the food. They even surprised me with a birthday dessert.
Amazing food and beautiful presentation.
Nice ambience. Food was excellent. Our waiter was great although overall service was a little off but we got the impression there were unexpected manpower issues in the kitchen. Wouldn’t let this keep us from returning or recommending. We had an excellent time.
Good food, nice people. Drinks overpriced. Very noisy.
Large entrees. Good prcing. Friendly service.
Had no idea that this restaurant was part of the IPic theatre venue when we made a reservation here. The perfect spot for a before or after movie drink, appetizer, or meal. Nice lounge area, our server was great,
and we enjoyed our meals. Will definitely return in the near future for a movie and meal, or just pop in for a drink and appetizers
Service was great in the beginning but was a fail after 30 minutes. Very cute place and good food. Would go back but and give service a second chance.
Service was excellent. My fellow diners really enjoyed their meals. I found mine, Beast Burger, fries (for the table), and caesar salad mediocre. (Further, the Canadian bacon on the burger was tough--couldn't eat it; and anyway, Canadian bacon sounds like you're trying too hard. Go with regular bacon: it's always 'can't miss.') The dessert menu had no pizzazz, no appeal. I'd lower the volume on the music. Overall, I will try Tuck Room again.
Per the usual, A+ service and food.
It was my cousins 70th birthday, so 10 of us surprised her with dinner at the Tuck Room Tavern followed by a movie at the iPic Theaters. It was a marvelous evening!!! The food and the service were great! Managers Julian and Gus were so wonderful!!! We have been to the Tuck tavern and plan to return very soon!
Me & my GF went for Christmas Special dinner. The hostess seated us even though we arrived early which was appreciated. Food was excellent, service good, only minor complaint was proximity to other diners and
the sometimes loud noise level. Overall though it was a good experience and we ended up leaving satiated and happy...the wind outside was something else though, had to hold on to each other to keep from getting
blown away which actually was a pleasant if hilarious ending to our dinner and set the stage for the rest of
the night...... ;)
Horrible service. No one was at the restaurant. The food took forever, did not come out at the same time. All of our asks cane out to late. Ie by the time we got ranch dressing which we ordered with the meal, and then asked again when the meal came out, we were done with our meal when we arrived.
The dinner on Friday night was a disaster. The glass of wine that I ordered was defective. The pinot tasted salty and sour. I switched to a chardonnay, after having to yell to get the server's attention. I order the chicken schnitzel. It was not cooked well. I sent it back. twenty minutes later, I was told that there was something wrong with their frying and they could not serve this meal. By that time I just decided to just get an appetizer. I was told they would comp the meal.
When the bill arrived, I was charged for everything, plus they charged me for a large glass of wine, when I ordered small and was given small. The last disaster is when the server never returned my credit card and I never discovered it until the next. This was a terrible dining experience.
Nice bar / cocktail atmosphere. Library style restaurant next to theatre. Parking in garage.
The food, service and ambiance are great. A wonderful place to eat at or have a drink before or after a movie.
Food was excellent...my steak done medium well to perfection, hard to find either bloody or overdone. My date's salmon was also delish, she actually ate the whole thing! Taking our drinks to the theater topped off a nice dinner experience. Not cheap, but worth it.
We loved the food, drinks and service. It was a little loud, even at 6 pm, but overall great! Try the salmon and the beef sliders.
Food was delicious, and the service was good. The noise level, however, is very high.
Mediocre food. Loud bar-ish scene. Not sure who they’re catering to. The crowd that wants to tie one on before a movie??
Food was okay. Service was okay. Bit slow and the waitress took my drink with some alcohol left in it when I ordered a refill and didn’t hear me when I asked for it back. Expensive for what it is... $6 Coke should say enough. Nice inside... come for a drink before a movie maybe.
We opted to have lunch at the Tuck Room Tavern before seeing a 2 pm movie at the iPic Theater (which is attached). The Sunday Brunch menu had a great selection and the price was very reasonable. Our food and the service were excellent.
Chose to meet friends at The Tuck Room for brunch because it was next to the IPIC theater. The restaurant was not crowded when we arrived, so we were seated prior to our friends arriving. The brunch menu is limited, with a little bit of everything. When our friends arrived one wanted a root beer. The restaurant did not serve, but the theater did, so our waiter got the root beer from the theater.
Overall, the food was fair, the chicken & waffles, the chicken was over cooked, the plate didn’t come with butter and the syrup was okay. The arugula salad was delicious and the shrimp were large. Another friend had the scrambled eggs with sausage which were good. The waiter recommended the biscuits and gravy to one friend, which he said, was delicious and the three biscuits were crunchy just the way they liked them prepared. With the exception of the biscuits and gravy, all the entree’s came out at the same time. We had what was probably a 5 minute wait for the dish to come out. We found this odd, since the restaurant wasn’t crowded.
Not sure if I’ll be running back anytime soon to the restaurant.
Very solid dining experience prior to iPic screenings.
We needed a place to meet and have dinner before a show at UCLA. The Tuck room fit the bill. Nice bar with lots of TVs for World Series game #3. Dinner was delicious, everyone enjoyed their meal. We shared the crab cakes and the mac & cheese fries. I liked the crab cakes best. My short rib was delicious.
The night started not so great as the website announces a daily happy hour and an all day happy hour on Thursdays. When I got to the bar the bartender explained there is no happy hour everyday, only on Thursday. Not what the website said, but he set me up with a tasty old fashioned, just more than I thought I was going to spend.
Overall a nice night to get us to our show.
