The food and service was outstanding. The salmon poke was very delicious.
First I will tell you I was recommended to Travelle as its a friends favorite place. It was for my wife's Birthday and we like going to new and nice place for each of our B-days -- First we do not eat meat or seafood so the selection was somewhat limited. The service was very good and they did their best to make selections we would be happy with.. We ordered three appetizers , a soup ( which my wife makes better but was OK ) a poke ( which was very spicy and needed to be redone less spicy ) and was very good, and a mushroom dish which was pretty tasteless. The main course was a corn pasta which was very tasty but to me was really more like a side dish not a main course and the Artic Char which was only OK --- We had two deserts the special one which was the best thing for the evening -- and the banana bread pudding which again was only OK. Over all I would say the meal was a C and at those prices I would not come back.. I will tell you that the lobby of the Langham hotel is amazing and worth seeing ---
Great food, service, location, and ambiance! Highly recommended!
Amazing time at the Travelle! Our waiter Jose was wonderful and very attentive. We had the prosecco, buratta appetizer, octopus appetizer, corn spaghetti, and lemongrass chicken. Everything was delicious!
Great food, ambiance and service! Always a consistent winner.
I can not say enough wonderful things about this restaurant! From the welcome we received upon entering I knew this was a special restaurant. Our view from our table was spectacular! The waiters and servers were friendly & offered terrific suggestions! We tried the Asiago bread as an appetizer & it didn’t disappoint! Our entrees were absolutely delicious as well! Steak & frites, tenderloin, and rack of lamb were amazing! Quite possibly the best meal I have ever eaten! Highly recommend!!
Service was excellent, as was ambiance. Meals were presented well and I would have rated food higher as my artic char was perfect, but my spouses' short ribs were unsatisfactory, mostly fat.
Celebrating an engagement with parents
Beautiful interiors. Tasty creative food. Excellent wine choice. Exceptional service.
We both ordered the chilauqiles and I have never had any as miserable as these. It looked like a bunch of whole tortilla chips on one side of the plate and the eggs on the other. The salsa was served in a separate bowl. I asked if we were supposed to pick up the chips with our fingers and dip it in the salsa and the server said the chips were supposed to be eaten with a fork and knife. The chips were hard and crunchy and very difficult to put on a fork! It was laughable. Our server was very nice, however, he forgot to bring the side of sausage we ordered, so we canceled it halfway through our “chips and salsa”. The ambiance was mediocre. It was a distasteful way to end our stay at the Langham hotel.
One of my favourite restaurant and Bar in Chicago. When I am in town I must eat there and I love to hang out at the Bar and lounge and have my business meetings there.
High recommend this restaurant.
We had a lovely dinner. Very attentive service without being pushy. We had a lot of time to relax and enjoy our evening while enjoying amazing food.
We waited over two hours for our food. When it came to our table it was cold and rubbery. Upon sending it back to have it heated they returned to say it would take 10-12 minutes. 45 minutes later we still had no food. This was the biggest disappointment.
This was my first visit and the place is beautiful. Unfortunately the experience wasn’t great- one oyster was bad and it smelled; and the main course took about an hour to arrive after we finished appetizers, and the steak wasn’t proper temperature. We were comped for many items which was appreciated but didn’t have experience I was expecting. Still deciding if I’ll return. Alex
Awesome experience. Great service, superb food, atmosphere. We loved it! We will be back!
Amazing food with fantastic service leads to a really nice night. It was a pleasure to wait in the bar, then transition to the beautiful dining room and have a lovely meal. I would highly recommend.
As usual, Travelle was amazing and a wonderful way to spend Valentine's Day. Our waiter Kellen was top-notch, and made our night extremely fun and memorable. We'll be back soon!
The service was splendid as well as the exceptional food - creating the perfect evening to celebrate. Thanks to all the staff and Alexander.
I can always count on Travelle to bring friends for great service, food, ambiance-never disappoints. Fabulous!
Although the food and service was great, the ambience was not what I had expected for a romantic dinner on valentines day for a hotel of this caliber. I realize they need to use this space for both breakfast, lunch and dinner, but the decor feels like an upscale Denny's. Please don't let that deter you from eating here because the food is great, but for me, it isn't my type of romantic dining. On the other hand, the chilaquiles for breakfast (in the upscale diner environment was one of the best I've ever had!
Simply a very memorable Valentines Day dinner!
Valentine's Dinner : marvelous food -- all four courses. The sashimi appetizer was excellent. Risotto was delicious. Lamb loin was great, but we're asked to cut lamb with a butter knife? Uh, no. Tartufo was the best I've had, including in Italy. Service: pretty awful. I understand the restaurant was packed and they pulled in other employees, but the first (young) server told us two drinks each came with the fixed price; not accurate, we found out later. He disappeared and we had no service for about 25 minutes. The manager brought us the first course. Took a long time to get the check. I've been here many times -- generally exceptional. I suspect V Day stretched them too far.
Valentine day reservations. Four courses. All delicious, but served very quickly. It gave us the feeling that they wanted us to get out of therel, However, they left us alone once the meal was over.
In 2019 my partner and I have made it a point to make it a journey and venture 190 Michelin star, bib, and plated restaurants. Travelle hands down had the best ambiance and service and my waiter Kellen gave the most amazing service worthy of a 3 star Michelin restaurant. Our Travelle favorites Brussels Sprouts and Pork Belly, Fried Chicken Roulade, and the Banana Foster Strudel alone is definitely worth a trip all on its own. Thanks for the experience Travelle, Kellen, and chefs!
We took advantage of Restaurant Week for this visit and found Travelle to be the hidden gem we’ve come to love. On the second floor of the historic IBM building that now houses the Langham hotel, Travelle does not have the advantage of walk-by traffic so perhaps has to work a bit harder to keep repeating diners, and our experience supports this hypothesis.
The service is attentive without being pushy or annoying. The menu offers a variety of options that will please about any tase or dietary restriction. The cauliflower soup was elegantly presented, poured table side, and had a lovely texture and flavor. The Black Forest dessert was definitely a highlight with delicate flavors that didn’t overpower the meal.
Travelle is one of the restaurants we know we can count on.
I was very disappointed by the mediocrity of the Restaurant Week lunch. One questions the judgment of an establishment that makes no attempt to impress the many patrons that may be making a first visit. Of the 6 courses that my friend and I ordered, only one was above average. Perhaps Travelle management considers hotel guests a sufficient market for success and sees no need to court community residents.
I have been here several times and enjoy it each time I have been here
Dining at Travelle is always an amazing experience! From service to quality of food the entire meal feels like a complete treat... don't walk, run to have your first meal here!
Food was great but service was slow. We had to ask for coffee multiple times, waited long for dessert menu, waited for the check. But the food and ambiance was really fantastic!
I need 6 stars! Travelle never disappoints. Book your reservation soon.
This is my special occasion choice for my birthday. We do breakfast here, and the food is exceptionally delicious. The wait staff is very attentive and responsive. It will be an annual event!
Excellent food and service. Well worth JP the money.
Always wonderful in every way.....food, service, wine, etc.
The meal was terrific. The whole staff could not have been more accommodating. Our waiter Kellen was amazing, professional and knowledgeable about the menu.
The food was excellent and the service outstanding!
They went beyond all expectations to make our date night perfect!
Thank you to our server and the chef!
Octopus appetizer was delish.
Excellent food and service. Great venue for a special night out.
Great hotel restaurant with fun atmosphere!
Good overall, but not outstanding. Server forgot to bring our side dish (a vegetable) to us. Scallops were very good; duck had good flavor but one of the two pieces was extremely tough.
