We were in the area for a tournament and a friend recommended this place. The appetizers were very good - polpo and arugula salad. For our main course my son and I shared the porterhouse. It was cooked perfectly and tasty.

I think the band playing Frank Sinatra throughout the restaurant is obnoxiously loud. When people dine, they want to be able to have a conversation with the people they are dining with. I requested to sit all the way in the back, far away from the band, and it still was way loud. I did approach the manager Gerardo and he did lower the music in the back room a bit so it was better. But I’m not a fan of loud music while I have dinner. I was a little frustrated just because I specifically had called before I made the reservation since they require a credit card hold per person. I wanted to know if the music was going to be too loud. And I was assured that it should be fine. I didn’t expect what I walked into. Regarding food, I was a little disappointed when I asked to swap out potatoes au gratin for mashed potatoes, and was told that I wasn’t allowed. I hate when simple requests like this are forbidden. Most of the restaurants that we frequent are pretty accommodating. I have found Trento to not be as accommodating, especially since the pandemic. I also don’t understand why the meat dishes are a la carte. My girlfriend ordered salmon and she got vegetables on her plate, I ordered the lamb chops and I got vegetables and potatoes on my plate, but my husband ordered the pork chop and got maybe a couple of dates and a peach (he said?) or something minuscule like that on his plate. My feeling is if you’re going to order a steak dish that is $50 and up, there should be something else on that plate. That’s just utterly ridiculous to me. It’s why I don’t frequent the big steakhouses. Anyway, we’ve been going to Trento since they opened years ago and we continue go because it’s convenient and we like some of the dishes. But we haven’t been very impressed for quite some time now.

Amazing food and service. Calamari is perfectly breaded and fried. The pappardelle is my favorite and never disappoints.

We were a large group from out of town and the restaurant accommodated a changing number of diners. We were treated well and our waitress, Danielle, was helpful, pleasant and professional. Food was great too. Thanks for a great evening.
