Everything was wonderful. We will definitely be returning for special occasions and the occasional beer at the bar
Amazing service and wonderful food! Will definitely be back here
The entrees were delicious but the pumpernickel bread was stale and the focaccia with lardo was not good at all. The bread pudding was very good but the chocolate dessert was not a good chocolate dessert
An amazing Saturday brunch! Trisha as always, made us feel extra special. The food was delicious and timely. Looking forward to our next meal there!
Wonderful place for dining out. Amazing food and drinks and great staff that truly spoil you!
Wait staff were crisp and friendly. Food was very tasty. I had the bbq short rib because I never have the time to make them myself. The meat was glazed with an Asian based sauce over polenta. Sad the polenta had been over cooked to where it lost all its character and resembled baby food. But I made a sizable dent in my serving and still had plenty to share. So portions are generous. Lovely birthday surprise dessert and the giant bottle of port was fun to see poured. Overall a really satisfying dinner with family.
Our waitress was wonderful. Answered all our questions and recommendations where spot on. Wonderful place to go as a family or a romantic evening.
Delicious food, well presented, and outstanding service. Trummer’s provides a highly enjoyable dining experience
Everyone is very attentive and made sure we received a quality service
We went to celebrate New Years Eve and to ask my wife to renew our vows on our 50th wedding anniversary. The service was impeccable, and the server explained what the "course" options were and made excellent recommendations. The courses were adequately spaced to permit us to talk. We ended up spending 2.5 hours at the restaurant and were pleasantly full when we left.
New Years, wait was long for food
A wonderful New Year’s Eve experience. A great meal, wonderful service, and terrific ambiance.
The server said he there only 2 weeks. We got our appetizers without any plates, honey did t arrive with our tea, and we did t have any knives to eat with our dinner.
We asked other staff but our server did t pay attention to detail.
The food was great otherwise.
Always phenomenal and never disappointing even after 12 years. The food and service always manage to exceed expectations. Cannot wait to return.
The food and service weee both outstanding - our server Trisha was truly one of the best we have ever had - and she was very helpful with recommendations and answering our questions.
Literally as always the food was exceptional and yet it was exceeded by the level of service. These guys are extraordinary in so many ways from the attention they pay to the kindness of each of the staff. Not only do I highly recommend eating there, but I even more recommend eating there regularly. Oh and the bar is exceptional with seriously interesting cocktails and A bar staff par excellence.
Always a good experience. Scallops were excellent and the chef’s appetizer was delicious.
Trummer’s is consistently fantastic. We enjoyed dinner last night with JR as our waiter and loved it as always. Food is excellent, interesting and perfectly prepared. This is my favorite place to go!
I was excited to eat here for my birthday based on the reviews. The building is beautiful and spacious, which I really enjoyed. Our server was excellent and attentive. The cocktails were also absolutely amazing. Our party of four ordered all appetizers on the menu, which all had some type of bread included with them. They were just okay, sort of underwhelming flavor wise. When it came to entrees, we had rockfish, scallops and Korean short ribs. The rockfish dish was unfortunately so one note and underwhelming in flavor that my husband didn’t enjoy it. He ate it, but it was disappointing. My other friend had the short ribs which were delicious, but let me just say that if something is advertised as Korean, one would think they would have some spice or heat—even if mild. No, there was zero spice or heat. They were very savory and one note, again. I had the scallop dish which was interesting. The scallops were cooked well, and the veg in the dish was good. But that’s all — nothing that really knocked my socks off. The last person in our party is vegan so the kitchen made her a farro and roasted veg dish. Let me just say we all tried it and thought it tasted better than anything we had. It was full of flavor. We also ordered a side of the fingerling potatoes which all of us tried but did not continue eating because of one thing: there was zero salt on them. I’m sorry but anyone who takes the time to roast and present such great potatoes and does not salt them, should really reassess their cooking career. I can’t tell you how underwhelmed we all were with the flavors and seasonings of everything we had. We also all ordered dessert, which was decent. The pumpkin crème brûlée was really good and so was the cheese board. All in all it was a good experience, but sadly we probably would not return until we know that the food is more flavorful.
Another wonderful experience at Trummers
Trummer's Restaurant is a great place for celebrating a special occasion, a friends get-together, a family reunion, or date night. The ambiance is awesome, the food is both creative and delicious, and the service is excellent. We highly recommend Trummer's Restaurant.
The service was incredible, as it has been before, but the menu was lacking compared to previous visits (no chicken?) and four out of the five of us got sick. And we all had different dinner selections. The food just did not taste that good, meaning certain parts of the main course tasted ok but sides were not good at all. Altogether, bad enough for us to consider not returning. But, to be clear, the wait staff were nice, knowledgeable, and attentive. But $300 to celebrate Mom’s birthday and have her not like her meal at all, plus the aforementioned general food issues makes this a 👎 for our family.
Lovely brunch at the wonderful Trummer’s Restaurant. Every experience is special at this place, from the ambience to the cuisine to the service. They think of everything. We can’t wait to return!
Food and service never disappoint! One of our favorite places to celebrate special events.
Wonderful food and service! We will be back!!!
Very pleasant staff and environment. They helped create a very relaxing Thanksgiving Dinner.
A wonderful, relaxed holiday experience with family! Enjoyed all the courses and never felt rushed. Everything was delicious, beginning with the Titanic, our favorite cocktail!
Best Thanksgiving dinner I’ve had at a restaurant in a long time!
Outstanding food and service! Highly recommend to anyone.
Wonderful atmosphere, great service and exquisite food.
Food was very good. Seems the kitchen was short staffed. Our food took a very long time to come out. Our waiter (only one for the entire section of a dozen tables) was great-apologized several times for the wait-but we were there for over 2 and half hours(party of 4 with appetizer, entree-no dessert because we were tired!)
Food took 90 minutes to prepare and was cold
Service was good but food came out quite slow. I had the short ribs were very tender and moist. My brother had the pork steak and it was perfectly cooked But on the cold side. We asked the waiter to have it (warmed in the microwave) We think our server misunderstood the instructions because it came back many minutes later and had been cooked further to an over cooked position. At that point in time he decided to eat it because we had waited so long for our dinner. I don’t recommend For large for parties. I think it’s probably more preferable for intimate couple dining. The chocolate torte was very good. However my brothers Apple pie biscuit seemed a bit crunchy and dry.
The food was excellent. But the service was lacking. Was very surprised of the limited menu and the fact that no one ever told us until we sat down at the table.
Went to Trummer’s to celebrate a birthday and it was fantastic! Great ambiance (tall ceilings, beautiful roomy and very clean decor), charming neighborhood, and delicious food (mocktail yummy, bread basket fresh out of the oven and homemade tasting - included an apple bear claw/turnover and eclairs, and shrimp and grits entree perfectly seasoned). Service was also very friendly and attentive. Highly recommended.
We had a great meal here. Service was on point and the food was delicious top to bottom. The short ribs were amazing!
Wonderful in every way! We will definitely be back!
The food was delicious and the wait staff are attentive and wonderful.
The location and built are very romantic, lots of charm. So that alone would be great but the food and service are just wonderful ! Very creative menu from cocktails to desserts. A great experience overall!
We've been going to Trummer's for a few years and love the setting (large historic home in a charming town), the ambience, and service. In late 2020, the chef and menu changed, and although the food is still high quality, the Asian (mostly Japanese) flavors and sauces used in many of the dishes are not our favorite. The menu also is much more limited, with only 6 main courses offered (of which only one was vegetarian). The previous menu offered more choices and variety.
