TWO urban licks
Loved the food, the service was great and had an overall wonderful time!
Great spot for medium sized groups! Delicious, elaborate food with HUGE portion sizes. You get your moneys worth!
Point 1. The valet parking was a nightmare!! I waited over 20 minutes for my car. My date wore heels and she almost fell because to pick up your car, we had to walk down a steep hill. There was a huge crowd waiting to pick up their car and many were complaining about poor service.
Point 2. The tables are close together. The couple next to us spent the night loudly complaining to their server about the poor service they received. Eventually, DJ the manager was called out We know his name because the complaining and explanation was so loud we felt as if we were part of the situation.
Previously, I was a fan of Two Urban Licks, but after last night I don’t think I will ever return.
Good food, nice venue, so noisy we were screaming to carry on a conversation!
The salmon chips and the pimento cheese hush puppies were delicious. I felt that the entrees were a bit over rated for the price. I would go again but would order more appetizers and salad
This used to be my go-to restaurant in Atlanta. My experience on Saturday was the worst I've had in months. We were rushed from the minute we sat down, our waiter was rude and distracted and the wine was corked. It gave me a stomach ache and when we complained about it, a new bottle was brought to us with a lot of attitude. The food was on the level of a food court. I don't know what has happened here, the place was packed so I guess there are no worries about satisfying the customer.
First time here, it was recommended to our son so we took him out for his birthday while we were visiting. Food was delicious. Our server was fabulous, she had great suggestions. Can’t wait to come back!
Great service and even better food. Dog friendly as well!!
Food was amazing. Service was ok - when the server was with us he was great, but he was so busy we waited to order, then waited for the check, waited twice as long for him to pick up the bill. Similar, we waited ages for the appetizer and then our entrees arrived within minutes of the appetizer - the table was too small to accommodate three plates and our drinks, I was left with half my plate hanging off the table without any comment from the server.
We also were sat under the only two spotlights not working. We struggled to see our food and had to ask the server to light the candle on our table (all the other tables’ candles were lit). We still struggled to see, I couldnt tell what the side was on my sisters plate it was that dark.
However, having said all that, it’s a really cool restaurant with a great vibe, and amazing food. Wouldn’t hesitate to go back.
'A' for effort, but it was a chaotic mess. It's obvious what they are trying to do, but it needs work and some finessing. The food was really good and the service was great. Aside from the people working the welcoming (host/hostess station) desk, the staff was really friendly, pleasant, and fun. Environment wise, it's loud, very loud... Not including the live band.
food wasn’t up to standard. bok choi was bland, calamari tough.
very noisy and under-dressed patrons. dress code should be implemented.
Love this place! Inside and outside dining, Great ambience and service. Food is always delicious. Brisket is a must try on your visit 😊
Belated Birthday celebration. Our food and service was wonderful!
Loved the music, the food, the waiter, the parking was a bit annoying but overall it was great.
We had a awesome time. It was our first visit and we'll be back very soon. We had the best waiter who recommeded outstanding dishes.
The server rushed us through everything and seem to just not have much time. The door attendants were not helpful and rudely advised us to wait until everyone in our party was there and come back to be seated.
I really enjoyed it. We went on a Tuesday so it wasn’t too crowded. Our server Ashley was very attentive and friendly. I wasn’t very hungry so only had the Kale salad which was tasty but a little on the oily side. I usually ask for dressing on the side but I forgot this thing. Overall very good and I would go back again.
Food was truly excellent. My cocktail was ok (ended up being kind of a wine slushie which I didn't expect or really want). My issues stem more bad management. It began with hostess. I had made a reservation for 4 but 3 of us arrived together and they wouldn't seat us until the 4th arrived though less than a quarter o the place was full. So we went to the bar, which was really too dark (the place is dark anyway) because lights at bar in certain places that had been broken/burnt out and not replaced. Then, when we got up to get to our table, we had to pay tab at bar. This is annoying and it should be more seamless on a decidedly not busy Monday night and a party of 3.
At our table, the waitstaff were good but it was odd that we were able to order draft beer when we were waiting at the bar but, when we got to our table, they said we couldn't order draft beer because all the drafts were not working. The bathrooms were also very dirty (clogged toilet in one, paper towels/toilet paper strewn on floor in others. Again this was not a busy night at all, so that's not an excuse. It seemed like something was amiss in how the place was being managed which makes me hesitant to return (especially on a busier night) despite the truly amazing food.
Always a great experience at Two Urban Licks. Our server (his name escapes me) with the dreads was absolutely awesome!
Excellent as always, the music was awesome to listen too as we enjoyed our delicious Salmon Chips
Food was great!
The food is always good. Was a little skimpy on the mac n cheese.
We arrived early and were sat right away. It is very loud, I do not recommend for serious conversations. The ambiance was very cool. The food came out quickly and was delicious. The valet upon leaving had a huge line, took roughly 30 min. That was the only downside.
We celebrated my best friend’s birthday and had a nice time. Our server was great along with the food.
The brisket was absolutely amazing, it was the most tender brisket I have ever had! Two thumbs up!!!
Celebrated youngest daughter's 21st birthday. Whole family enjoyed the experience!
My steak was undercooked. I ordered it medium. Was very rare. The flavor on it was terrible so I only was able to eat the potatoes and greens. I won’t be going back.
We had an amazing time at Two Urban. The bartender was amazing, and made our experience perfect at the bar. He performed a few magic tricks at the bar, which I thought was really cute. Def will be going back!!!!!
A gem of Atlanta. We love this place. The brisket is amazing! Apps: empanada, calamari & the salmon chips. Amazing service. Awesome valet. Great atmosphere
Server was amazing. Great personality. Make sure the food came out quickly. Love the ambience. Full of energy!
Great for a date night, or a night out with friends! Outstanding crafted cocktails, and the menu is great to share if you want to try several things. I highly recommend the hushpuppies and splitting the chicken.
The venue was great, the parking great, the food was great for the most part. The brisket was outstanding. They had a thick cut bone in pock chop that we were told was "to die for". I ordered this and asked for it to be cooked well. It was way under cooked (almost rare) and when we brought this to the servers attention, he said he would be right back. Never saw him again till he gave us a check. The brisket was great, The sides and salads great. The server offered us bread but it never came either. Been there several times, this was not the norm. it would be my suggestion to stay on the server till you get what you need and make sure they follow through.
From valet to the service at the table, the TUL’s experience was dynamic. The food was hot and marinated to perfection. I had crab cakes and wood-grilled chicken. Impeccable!
Great service, very good upscale southern food! Would go back if ever in Atlanta again.
Overall my experience was great. I did feel a little ignored by the service.
It was nice food over priced drinks are good ambience was nice
We've come to ATL once yearly for the last three years and have eaten at Two Urban Licks. The first two times were PHENOMENAL; everything was excellent! However, that was not the case on this visit! There were six in our party, for the most part, the food was good except for the Shellfish Roast, which was absolutely HORRIBLE!! It was way overcooked and soggy, and I was so disappointed and in utter disbelief, especially considering it was one of the most expensive entrees on the menu! Our waiter left a lot to be desired; we had to finally request refills on our soft drinks after our glasses sat empty for the majority of our meal. He did not provide steak knives for those in our party who ordered the filet mignon and pork chops, nor did he bring the necessary utensils for the shellfish roast until midway through the meal! We did not complain and even tipped our waiter because as we invited guests to join is after raving about how great the restaurant was, and they had expressed their entrees, the chicken and bistro steak was good, and I did not want to taint our evening! Again, our previous experiences have been fantastic, so I am still extremely disappointed that was not the case this evening!
Great atmosphere and food! Music awesome!!
We truly enjoyed the band and food. We did notice close to closing they were slow to clear/clean the tables upstairs.
