   Nice ambiance, but old. It was very hot inside and there were gnats flying around. It would have been nice if I was informed by my server, but the corkage fee was $50. Fun experience, but not the best value for money. Everything was outdated.

   A very enjoyable evening. Went to the jazz experience from 6 to 8. A had a very good 4 piece jazz group. We had a series of tapas. Crab cakes, tuna tartare, hummus, salad, garlic shrimp, all well prepared and tasty. Highly recommend this experience.

   What a wonderful art deco location. The night we went we had a small jazz band playing, which was great if a little loud. Service was attentive but subtle, no in your face Continual asks about if “everything is ok” Tapas style was perfect, the prawns were smoky and u quite, hummus delightful. Overall everything was really nice and I highly recommend this

   Beautiful decor and attentive service. Food is mediocre, especially in light of the pricing. One would expect better quality food for the prices they charge. They likely would get a higher rating for the food if prices equate to the quality of the cuisine.

   The restaurant is beautiful and the food was very good. We were there for lunch, had their special spritzer cocktails, mezze platter (loved the fried pita), bread (yum, butter was so good), fried zucchini balls (very light, great texture) and beet and burrata salad (huge servings and so, so good!). We finished with cappuccinos and pecan tart. Service was impeccable (Francisco) and the price was so reasonable. I don't know why it wasn't busier at that time of day, but if you're downtown for lunch I highly recommend it! I will definitely be back.

   Most of the our dinner was pretty good. The bread was stale ( you could see the freezer burn) and when we told the server, he just argued and said it was fresh every day. The scallops did not look fresh either and were pretty small. They add a 20% tip automatically for two people.

   Very good experience! There was a delay in getting our entree’s but we were informed and not n any rush. We were comped a bread service and another bottle of Sparkling Water and glasses of wine. The wait staff was very attentive.

    As we sat down at our table to celebrate Mothers Day, the Chef started to scream at his staff using profanities and vulgarisms for about 3 minutes nonstop. We were with minors. We will never return to Ula.

    If they actually had 6 stars available I would have given that rating. Fabulous staff and amazing food. My girlfriend and I were very happy and impressed. Look for Nick he was a great server. And the manager was very professional.

    We had a truly special dining experience at Ula. The bar area had live jazz and was a fun (if loud) spot. We opted for a quieter space in a deeper part of the restaurant. Beautiful decor felt old word Mediterranean. The good and wine was superb. Wait staff very accommodating.

    Was pretty disappointed. The crab bites were barely warm, the lobster bisque had nice chunks of meat but was pretty spicy which is not what you expect with a SF Lobster bisque. The fries were not cooked all the way. The pasta and tuna were good. I will say they kept trying to take our plates even though there was food on them. We had to keep saying "we are not finished yet".

    This is the old Farallon restaurant location and it hasn’t changed much which is awesome. But the food is hit or miss and the cocktails are mediocre at best. The service is good and very attentive. But there are too many other amazing places in SF to eat and drink. I really wish I’d enjoyed it more.

    Really disappointed with Ula. Our server was really rude. The caviar was probably the worst I have had in the city - the cakes they served it with were covered in butter, which masked the taste of the caviar. For that price, we expected better. The rest of the food was lackluster. Dining here was such a disappointment. They even added gratuity to our tab even though we were only two people. It was insulting. We won't be going back.

    Server provided all the details on the ingredients used in the dish and recommended Vegan and veggie options. Ambience I am in love with, I would like to check their private room dining next time. Overall it was a very positive experience and would definitely recommend this place.

    We eat out at some of the best restaurants in San Francisco on a regular basis and are not prone to write reviews. But our experience at Ulla was exceptional. Every course was done perfectly. The best part of the evening was our waiter. Clay was gracious , professional, made us feel sincerely welcome and didn’t miss a beat.     Beautiful restaurant but a little old decor. Service was great but food flavor was almost nonexistent. The octopus was sliced so thinly that you couldn’t tell it was octopus. The entrees were expensive for the quality. Service was great but everything else failed.

    Beautiful room, excellent service. The lobster bisque was a bit too salty. No special (small) fork provided with mussels, making them a little hard to dog out of shells. Mandatory 20% tip should be disclosed in advance.
