Water Grill - Dallas
Always a great experience.............................................................................................t
The experience was simply amazing! Our waiter William was phenomenal and we will definitely be back. Oh and the food was simply terrific 😋
Went there for Valentine's Day. The food, service, and ambiance was perfect. The sampler oyster plater was amazing. Will definitely go again.
Very nice, want to comeback and hang out at bar
Overall it was good, except the filet we ordered was a bit over cooked. It was not medium rare. My husband was way too nice to say anything.
We always enjoy Water Grill but this time wasn't up to the usual experience. When we arrived a large group was standing near the entry drinking and talking loudly. No host or hostess in sight, waiters walking back and forth but no one acknowledging we were there. Finally were seated, thankfully away from the noise (I realize the noisy crowd isn't the restaurant's fault but was annoying and would have liked to be seated more timely). Valet never sent the text for my car pickup, which I believe was supposed to be a convenience so that we wouldn't have to wait outside when ready to leave. I noted this with the hostess after we were seated but still never received a text. Meal was terrific as always and waitstaff were friendly and attentive.
Amazing meal, drinks and night. Our first entree was over cooked, but they replaced it free of charge and took care of the new entree. Wonderful service and attention by Kathy and the GM.
Wife’s birthday. Being foodies, we definitely hit the big restaurants every time we find a chance. (Town Hearth, Nick & Sam’s, Del Frisco’s, etc.) This was just nothing (food nor ambience wise) worth actually coming back too. The restaurant itself is GREAT. Location is great. Not in love with the menu. Had the sea bass... it was good but a little too much brown butter. Fritters were a touch over done, and the fact that I don’t remember the sauce vehicle that accompanied it tells you a lot about that dish on the whole. Drinks were GREAT! Wish more people were there... that would have helped, but I see why there weren’t
Water Grill was absolutely fantastic! We had incredible service, amazing food that was so delicious my wife and I split our meals so we could enjoy both. The ambiance is so much better than many traditional Dallas restaurants. We felt as if we were on the coast in Seattle or somewhere similar. It was different, fun and exciting. Will definitely go back. Hope this restaurant sticks around for a long time.
We enjoyed a leisurely “early Valentines dinner”. Fritto Misto, a bottle of Chablis and split a whole roasted lobster with fries. Good service and a relaxed evening.
First time at Water Grill. Everything was good. Service was good. Food was good. Ambience was good. Highly recommend this place for a date night.
Everything was awesome...the ambiance that the lighting and decor created, the AWESOME food, and the (new) server who had clearly studied their menu and drink pairings. Made for a great birthday for my fiancé. We’ll definitely be avoiding the overcrowding of the other “well known” fine seafood restaurants in the area and visit Water Grill lots more in the future!
Wonderful experience. We felt like we were in NYC or SFO. So different than typical Dallas restaurant. Can't wait to go back.
Delicious food and great service.
Great service, wonderful food and oyster selection, great wine list, and the atmosphere is open yet cozy.
"I love the relaxed feel of this place – like a comfortable dining room in a friends home. I definitely would return to try more dishes. The steak and crab was awesome. The wine was perfect . The cocktails were mixed exactly as requested. Service was well-timed and friendly, wines were affordable." Being from California we are putting Dallas on our list of places to return to.
I specifically ordered just the Fried Snapper with no sides. It came under cooked, also accompanied with vinegar rich black beans and soy sauce drenched cole slaw. I could not even put black beans in mouth because of so much vinegar making me cough. Cole slaw disgusting with soy sauce drenched as well. Waitress brought bill charging extra for black beans. I reminded her I did not order them plus never ate any. After a small discussion she removed that from bill. By the way, the snapper weighed 1.1 pounds and alone cost $56, fried!!! Nothing gourmet there!!! Unbelievably overpriced! W I do not recommend Water Grill...
Was a pleasant evening so enjoyed the outdoor feel w our booth. Service was fine. Pricing was extremely high considering the portion size. When I'm paying $47 for a small piece of fish -- and all the sides are ala carte -- that's of little value to someone like me that wants a meal that actually fills me up. Also, when I'm paying $300 for dinner, I think the restaurant can pick up the tab for Valet Parking -- because there is no "free" parking available. First time to visit and probably last time.
First outing to Water Grill in Dallas. Great oysters, great (diverse) wine list, great cioppino. I'll be back.
Nice brunch vibe. Fun atmosphere. Service was friendly and expedient. Menu selections were good; perhaps too many traditional breakfast options. Maybe nice to add some more brunch/lunch options for heartier fare.
Awesome staff. Very courteous and attentive.
Food was fantastic! Service was great. From start to finish - it was a great experience.
Wonderful atmosphere and the food was excellent. While the prices are a little on the high side, the food made it worth. Wait staff was very attentive and made recommendations. The appetizers made a great meal for my associate and I had the fish and chips. It was a large piece of fish and was cooked perfectly. I would go here again, if in the area!
The service was incredible but the food was mediocre. Fish portions were very small and my refish was very dry. Dirty rice was pasty. Rolls were good, as were the mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts.
Loved the atmosphere. Get the kitchen working as hard as the people out front and you've got a winner.
Second visit to the Dallas location. Hasn't got any better. Server was too intrusive, crab leg nuggets were still frozen and tuna was average
Wondering if I have enough or whether I should try one more visit ...
Pan seared Sea Bass made me feel like I was back in Cabo. Service was perfect. Got there at 5pm before the crowd built up.
Casual, but moderately upscale. Fair food and wine prices. Some meat options in addition to a nice variety of fish choices. Overall, a nice dinner option. Valet parking available. Will return.
What more can I say? This place never disappoints. Our food and service were outstanding! Can’t wait to come back again.
Fantastic meal, from the sauteed octopus with a spicy chili sauce to the shrimp and sweet grits, to the grilled red fish!! Go tonight!
Came here to celebrate my husband’s birthday. Good seafood but I got irritated when my conversation and dining experience kept getting interrupted by a persistent waitress set on cleaning up a few spilled crumbs and who tells us we can use the plates on our table to eat our appetizer. 😒 My husband thought she asked for his plate, but that’s what she was telling him he could do. My husband is a very nice and patient guy, but she got a side eye from me. It was our first time dining there, so I’m not going to make assumptions because my husband and I are used to fine dining. But the next time we dine here, and there will be a next time because they have a great seafood menu (and we are newly pescatarian), we would like to experience a different waitress or waiter. We still enjoyed ourselves in-spite of.
Beautiful interior. Great menu of seafood and shellfish. I will definitely return, but wish the selection of red wine by the glass was better. Seems like they only have California reds. I prefer European reds due to lower sulfite, sugar and alcohol content.
Best Oyster happy hour in Dallas! We also order a full cold Dungeness crab each time we go... Great cocktail and wine list as well. We love Water Grill!
So good we went to the Watergrill in Los Angeles the following week
Amazing oysters and dressing, great cocktails, and the scallops were phenomenal. Excellent service.
Amazing service and food!
New Years Eve dinner
The restaurant is gorgeous. Host staff was really great and welcoming. Our server was very sweet and great at the start, but she got weeded quickly and disappeared for long periods of time. We skipped dessert and another round of cocktails because we couldn’t find her for so long. Food was pretty mediocre, there was nothing we ate that we’d really want to come back for. The house bread was good.
I Came here on New Years eve with husband and friends for dinner. Everything was great. We had a delicious seafood tower and drinks.
Great seafood, the raw scallops are a must order. The California spiny lobster was also fantastic.
