Dined in February and the Chateaubriand was first class. Unfortunately last night it was very disappointing. We asked for it to be pink no blood and it was overcooked and only warm. The served portions differed in size - the end pieces were particularly disappointing. We were with friends from overseas who enjoyed their venison but were concerned at the delay in service. There were no condiments on the table and we were unable to attract the server’s attention. Overall disappointing.

Being return customers, we were very disappointed with the service. Our main meals were brought to our table before we had finished our starters, with no communication this was happening from the server. So food sat getting cold on the edge of our table. When our plates were cleared after our mains, we were asked if everything was okay, we advised the food was lovely but we were disappointed over what had happened. The server did not seem interested in hearing this, she couldn't clear the plates and get away quick enough. At no point was there acknowledgement or an apology for the mix up. When we asked for the bill, the server advised one drink and the service charge would be removed, but still no apology. Such ashame as we usually enjoy going to the Whiski Rooms but it seems the waiting staff need better training and the kitchen need to work on their timings.

We came here on a recent trip to Edinburgh! The set Valentine's meal we had was delicious. I had the veggie haggis, neeps and tatties with a whisky cream sauce (fabulous) Hubbie had the Scottish steak which he said was cooked to perfection! He also had a whisky flight which he enjoyed as well! All in all a great evening with a nice atmosphere.

Really nice ambiance and very nice staff. We enjoyed one of the Whisky tastings after being well advised. The menu has a lot of choice. The starters were very good, haggis spring roll is highly recommended as well as the salmon three ways. The lobster mac cheese was a bit disappointing for me, I missed a bit more seasoning. The lamb shoulder was excellent. We both enjoyed. the sticky pudding which was very good. Overall we had a nice evening.
