Food was ok but nothing that stood out. Tried the haggis scotch egg but was hard boiled and fillet steak a bit chewy, although the venison was delicious.

Being return customers, we were very disappointed with the service. Our main meals were brought to our table before we had finished our starters, with no communication this was happening from the server. So food sat getting cold on the edge of our table. When our plates were cleared after our mains, we were asked if everything was okay, we advised the food was lovely but we were disappointed over what had happened. The server did not seem interested in hearing this, she couldn't clear the plates and get away quick enough. At no point was there acknowledgement or an apology for the mix up. When we asked for the bill, the server advised one drink and the service charge would be removed, but still no apology. Such ashame as we usually enjoy going to the Whiski Rooms but it seems the waiting staff need better training and the kitchen need to work on their timings.

We came here on a recent trip to Edinburgh! The set Valentine's meal we had was delicious. I had the veggie haggis, neeps and tatties with a whisky cream sauce (fabulous) Hubbie had the Scottish steak which he said was cooked to perfection! He also had a whisky flight which he enjoyed as well! All in all a great evening with a nice atmosphere.

Nice vibe but the table was a little bit small. Another room was quite empty and the inner was narrow. This madden me feel crowded not fully enjoy in the date. Thanks for your fabulous services and staff are friendly. Suggestions were great and appreciated.

Really nice ambiance and very nice staff. We enjoyed one of the Whisky tastings after being well advised. The menu has a lot of choice. The starters were very good, haggis spring roll is highly recommended as well as the salmon three ways. The lobster mac cheese was a bit disappointing for me, I missed a bit more seasoning. The lamb shoulder was excellent. We both enjoyed. the sticky pudding which was very good. Overall we had a nice evening.

Although clearly catering for the tourist market the Whiski Rooms was a very pleasant place to eat. The food was decent, the staff friendly and the room pleasant with a good view over the Winter Wonderland
