I LOVE this spot! Whether you are on a date and want to sit at the bar or have family in town and need to reserve a larger table, You Can never go wrong at Xenia. The facility is absolutely stunning, with Contemporary decor and upbeat ambience. The menu features a diverse array of traditional Greek plates as well as Modern twists on staple provisions such as Spanakopita and Gigandes. The wine list is exceptional, boasting indigenous Greek varietals that you will not encounter anywhere else! The staff is always friendly and concerned with their guests having an enjoyable experience. I’ve never once encountered a staff member who was less than absolutely courteous and welcoming to me with every aspect of the experience!
No Doubt I will be back in the very near future!
The spanakopita was delicious and a large portion. I’d go back just for that. I enjoyed my Greek salad and the lamb shank. The mussels were a bit gritty. I’ll skip those next time.
Service was good, considering it was lunch and we were the only ones outside.
We’ll go back to try a few more dishes next time.
A really exceptional experience. The food and drinks were terrific, the ambience and decor were great, and our waiter, Spencer, was top notch. The entire staff was obviously well-trained and well-managed. Great place to take foodie friends or out of town guests whom you want to impress with a really stellar restaurant.
It isn’t cheap, but it was worth every penny.
First visit will definitely be back. Great food and service
Wonderful service. Food was excellent and paced perfectly. We never felt rushed but the waiter (Zach) was right there when we needed him. A great experience!
Delicious! Beautiful setting for us to celebrate our wedding anniversary.
The staff was absolutely amazing . I cannot name one dislike about this place . Everyone from the hostess to the sever and even musician were friendly and hospitable. I will definitely be back
Highly recommended. Fantastic food, attentive wait staff, excellent dining experience.
Wonderful food - presentation and flavor. Though pricy, the food portions were ample. Leg of lamb was succulent.
Wonderful restaurant with excellent food, outstanding service and wonderful ambiance! This is absolutely my new “go to” restaurant now for special events.
Outstanding service, quality and ambiance. My favorite restaurant of all time! Nothing compares to the level of care by the restaurant staff and the quality of food rises above for any occasion. So many good choices in food; the Xenia spreads, the spinach pie, the filet, the lamb chops and the Chilean sea bass are our favorites off the menu.
Service was wonderful! Food was really good. Prices have increased but good for a special occasion
Service was promt and excellent. Nice touches of the pita bread with olives and olive oil along with the complimentary sweet hone balls at the end. My seafood linguini was wonderful and took half home. Husband liked his mosaka. This is a true dining experience. Negative...noisy
The staff was exceptional! From the moment we walked in the door, and were greeted, till the time we were paying the bill. I mentioned to our waiter that my Wife and I were celebrating our anniversary and he brought us a raspberry sorbet with a happy anniversary sign made out of fondant. That goes to show you how they go above and beyond.
The food was amazing. The care, preparation and presentation were comparable to a 5 star restaurant. I would recommend this dinning experience to everyone.
My husband and I ate here for our anniversary and we were left disappointed. We ordered the spanakopita, burrata salad, lemon chicken soup, lamb shank and salmon entree. The spanakopita and soup were very good, but everything else was pretty bland and under-seasoned. He liked his cocktails, but mine was just okay. Additionally, the service was incredibly slow. We had a 6:15 reservation and we weren’t given our bill until almost 8pm. It was fairly busy but not packed and didn’t seem particularly understaffed. Lastly, being that the food was less than exceptional, it’s rather overpriced. Nearly $200 (including a fair gratuity) for the food mentioned, plus 3 cocktails seems excessive. Overall, we’re not in any hurry to return.
The wrong fish was served and it was overcooked. Service was absent, never checked in on the food quality, and delivered an anniversary dessert even though it was not an anniversary meal.
Shared 8 small plates with other couple and all were excellent. Particularly loved the tuna app, zucchini chips and spinach pie. Service was also excellent. Can’t wait to come back.
We’ve been here several times. Wonderful food!! We had the Flaming Cheese, grilled octopus, Chilean Sea bass and lamb chops. The chicken lemon soup is must!!! Actually, everything is a must!!
First time at Xenia and happy to say that we’ll be coming back. Food, service and decor were outstanding in all aspects. So happy to see another beautiful restaurant in the Howard County area.
We were taken to our table right on time for our 6:15pm reservation only to find the table wasn't ready, so we had to walk back out to reception so they could arrange another table.
Our waiter, Spencer, knew the menu and preparations quite well. His suggestions were on point and he was attentive. We ordered three appetizers first, delaying our entree decision. The first came quickly and the other two were separated by a few minutes. The spanakopita was delicious. The octopus was quite good, though could have been warmer. The meatballs were flavorful and hot. As for entrees, this place is known for its whole fish, so I ordered the red snapper. It was 1.3 pounds, beautifully presented and flavorful, but should have been hotter (no doubt it takes time to de-bone). The lamb chops were fantastic and generous (four double chops with lots of meat) with delicious potatoes. The seafood pasta was good - lots of pasta, not enough seafood.
Overall, it was a very pleasant evening with delicious food in a very nice atmosphere. We only dinged the restaurant on two topics - some of the food should have been hotter and the prices are too high. Portions are generous...too much so? Perhaps they could dial back a bit on both so we could visit a bit more frequently. This is a definite keeper, but at these prices - a special occasion destination only.
Good find! Food beautifully presented, good portion size, and delicious. Nice wine list. Decor is classy and inviting.
Outstanding! the service is fit for a Greek goddess! this is the best Greek restaurant in the area!
Great food and ambiance.
Amazing and creative delicious food! Fabulous charming service! Loved outdoor arrangement! Will go back without a doubt!
Food and service was outstanding as always. Love this restaurant.
We absolutely love Xenia!!! The service is impeccable, and the food is some of the best we’ve had. Must try - the octopus!!! Also the Bronzino.
Never got our table, despite having a reservation had to eat at the bar. Diners, drive ins and dives was playing on their giant tv, not sports. Bartenders were friendly. Ordered soup and salad as apps. My soup arrived her salad took 20 additional minutes. Pasta was pretty good, but meal was ruined by timing. Like all other establishments service training is neglected.
Amazing cocktails...ask Kristina to make a Santorini and Cosmo...
The BEST crab cake ever!
Food was decent but not special. Drinks were disappointing. Service and ambiance were great.
My husband and I went to Xenia for the first time last night and will definitely be back! The place is beautiful, the service was excellent, and the food was delicious. We were given pita with oil and olives to start, and even the pita was exceptional. We ordered the octopus appetizer, it was perfectly cooked. For dinner we had the lamb chops with potatoes and asparagus, and the scallop dish. The portions are reasonable for the price. For dessert we tried the baklava which is served with vanilla ice cream, and the orange/Earl grey dessert special. We were also given Greek donuts. All of the food was so delicious and there are many more things we'd like to try.
This restaurant brought us back to Santorini. The grilled calamari was like we enjoyed it on the Greece beaches. The service was delightful and it was extra quiet because we dined at 2:30 in between the lunch and dinner crowds. It was just like we wanted it for our anniversary celebration. Thanks to Xenia for a memorable experience.
Food good, but expensive. Service very good, and nice ambiance, but it was loud.
Food was perfect. Service was outstanding. Such a beautiful place! Will definitely be back.
The place is beautiful! The food was great and the service was impeccable. Can't wait to return.
This is one of my favorite local spots. Go there often. The food is great. The ambiance is great and the management and staff is always very friendly. See you soon Xenia.
We celebrated our daughter’s completion of her first year of medical school with a wonderful early evening meal at Xenia. We sat outside with few others (our pandemic choice) as most of the diners were inside in the trendy dining room.
The drinks and appetizers were excellent —-kefefedes meatballs were the best, taramasalata dip was wonderful, zucchini chips with tzaziki yummy, ——grilled calamari was not as good—did not seem grilled and was sautéed instead.
We shared two large fish—one snapper and one bronzino—for the three of us and it was more than enough. Perfectly grilled and filleted and sauced with a fairly light white sauce with capers. The fish were fresh —I visited them on ice inside the main dining room!!! Sautéed broccolini with garlic was a perfect side for the fish.
Baklava ice cream and a coconut cake was a great finish—but not as good as the leukomathes small Greek donuts that were complementary. The syrup seemed to come from inside the donuts(?)—really great. And we had Greek coffee of course—slightly sweet the way we like it!
Our server was kind and prompt and knowledgeable. She knew the menu well. Xenia is not inexpensive, especially for Suburban HC, but the food and service top notch. We seek out Greek cuisine often—and I am sure we will return to try the saganaki and the lamb dishes we missed!
The food was made to perfection would recommend to EVERYONE!
