   Enjoyed a Harlem Stoner whiskey cocktail and the catfish as well as an appetizer of crabcake. Everything was very good and the cocktails were particularly well balanced. Great atmosphere and fantastic service!

   Loved the Red Rooster. Had booked the table as it was close to the Apollo theater. Tiara served us and did great recommendations. I had the Salmon Bowl and it was perfectly cooked. We also loved the aprons. Very colorful and vibrant restaurant. Would recommend going there to everybody, unless you don’t like bright colors, lively music and happy waiters (then just stay home ;-) )

   The menu has changed a bit from a few years ago. Gone are the Swedish meatballs and no (whole) yard bird although you do get a chicken tower with about 20 pieces of chicken. The chicken was a bit dry. Cocktails were average.

   Never been before, but heard great things. Food was fantastic and so unbelievably good we ordered way too much of it and had it for lunch today. Service was top tier and our server was super friendly and helpful. Will definitely come back next time we’re in NYC. -thank you!!!

    Brunch - always a pleasure to visit /eat when come to nyc. I wish they told diners about the artist selling his t shirts outside- help him to sell more. Alcoholic drinks seemed a struggle on the Sunday we attended - I have never heard of froze with strawberry in it. Prefer the orginal rose with vodka.

    The first waiter was simply incredible with his service and attention to details (unfortunately, I didn’t get his name, but my friends and I tipped very well)!! The food was awesome! Fresh! Well seasoned, deeeeelicious!!! The live entertainment was excellent! It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon brunch…..so good……I was there last Saturday 😊

    This was a delayed Mother’s Day brunch outing. We didn’t realize Sunday was the gospel brunch performance so it was icing on the cake. Our waitress, Fanta, was great. My mom and I both enjoyed the shrimp and grits and mac, collards and lobster. It was delicious! We finished with the strawberry shortcake which was yummy. I can’t wait to visit again when back in NYC.

    I' m from NY and I've been dying to eat at this restaurant for the longest but didn't have the time. My service was great, but the food awful, it was season-less. I blame that on the major gentrification that's taken over. Catering to other ethnicities versus saying true to soul food /Louisiana style home cooking. My service was amazing, my waiter was great.

    It was my date's birthday. I put notes in the reservation instructions to surprise her with a dessert which I saw happen at another table (so I know it could be done). But the dessert never came. The service took very long and both of us found the waiter to be rude. He would never address me or look me in the eye until right before the tip. We were given a lot of strange looks and it all felt very uncomfortable at times. The food was wonderful though and it was a dream come true to try Marcus Samuelson's restaurant.

    We had a very good meal in the bar area (we were a party of eight). The ambiance there is not quite as good as in the restaurant, but still very good. The food was terrific and our whole group had fun. The service though was not great. The waitress was new I think, and just not well trained. We started to order, for instance, and one of our party stated she wasn't quite ready and asked to please be skipped over for the moment. The waitress said she couldn't do that. She had to input it into her tablet and it had to be done in order. She stood over the person until they quickly made their mind up. Then, when all ten orders were taken, she interrupted us to read all ten orders aloud, I guess to make sure she got them right. It was awkward. I also asked for a refill on my drink and never got it. She was probably just having a bad day -- she was unsmiling throughout -- but it does make me think twice about taking guests there.

    Too 10 restaurant experiences ever. We were with a group of 6 and tried pretty much everything on the menu. Deviled eggs were my favorite!

    Everything was just right. I have been here for dinner in the past and had a delightful evening each time. This time we met for lunch, to celebrate a graduation, and every detail was just so lovely and perfect. The wait staff were warm without being intrusive in any way, the food was outstanding, the atmosphere was delightful, really, it couldn’t have been more perfect for the occasion. Thanks again to the great folks at Red Rooster for another splendid experience.
