Restaurant had nice ambiance. Dined at the courtyard and it was bright and lively. Food was inventive and delicious. Cocktails were pricey but good as well. Highly recommend.
Service was inattentive but people were very friendly. This caters more to a traveling business crowd I think. Nothing on the menu blew me a way, and 3/4 dishes were either over cooked or over seasoned. There was not a lot going on here other than the ambiance and decor to justify the prices of each dish. I won’t be back.
I would leave a really long review. But I'm going to keep it short and simple. Simply amazing! The best dining experience I've ever had! WOW!!!
I made reservations for a group of 11. The wait staff was very attentive and professional. They had developed an affordable three course menu options for us. The food was OUTSTANDING! Highly recommend
This was a featured restaurant on dnela and we now understand why—-Excellent dining experience. Our server Matt was informative and personable and the food was amazing!! Highly recommend Redbird
Thanks for an enjoyable dinner
We were there for brunch which is a la carte.
Blueberry pancakes were HUGE and delicious - served with WARM syrup👍.
My grilled skirt steak with gremolata was sumptuous.
Beautiful decor - ask for a tour of the church next door.
Experienced Redbird during the DineLA week. The brunch set menus was perfect. I took a chance on the mushroom congee and it blew my mind how well the flavors worked. I also had the cured salmon, it sat on top of a crispy rice cake. It was really good as well. My friend had the short ribs baked something which was okay. Flavors were not bold, bet very well put together combinations that entertained me. LOL
The service was amazingly perfect. Our waitress was knowledgeable and on point. We were not rushed once finished eating, but allowed to sit and have conversation over latte and French press coffee (we enjoyed that too). What I thought was a really nice touch was that you were given a ticket number to pick up your take away bag at the hostess counter so while you are finishing conversation or dessert, you don’t have to babysit your brown bag.
Very comfortable furniture and decore. Large well lit space, not over crowded but could fit a large number of bodies. There were a few groups that enjoyed drinks and lite bites at the bar. I’d definitely return for dinner. Really liked our waitress, wish I remembered her name. She had cool hair.
Food excellent ambience was very enjoyable and comfortable. Place was casually elegant. It does not feel like an uptight fancy place.
Great atmosphere and perfect spot to have dinner/drinks and catch up with friends or a date.
Fantastic experience, one of the most interesting cocktail menus in LA!
Strongly encourage you to try, if you appreciate a discerning approach to make drinks & the food is memorable too.
Very bad experience. We were seated in an undesirable location despite reservations. Our seat was shoved in a corner next to the computers for the bill. My hamachi crudo had a hair in it. All they did was take it back and comp the dish but did not seem to be bothered or very apologetic. We spoke with the manager who was useless. For a restaurant of this caliber it should have been handled very differently. Overall a really bad experience, and we will not be returning. So many better restaurants in LA!
Good food with very classy and upscale ambiance. Service is however slooooooooooooooooow.
Had gone for wife's birthday last month (and it was delish) and recently went for DineL.A. this weekend for brunch. Chilaquiles were rich and delicious. The Baked egg dish had a slow-cooked meat sauce that was amazing. We reserved earlier the same morning and were able to sit at the bar - no problem. The bartenders were attentive and helpful about menu items. It was an overcast day with a bit of rain and chill, but we felt warm in the bright room.
The only thing I can complain about was the sweet potato cake of the Cured salmon dish. It was dense and I didn't really know what it added to the plate. The avocado puree was nice though, and perhaps it needed a bit more acid. Maybe it's better with a sesame cracker for a difference in texture.
Overall, we love Redbird and will be back.
Great cocktails and wine selections!
Lovely restaurant with a large lounge/bar area. Service was really friendly and helpful. The drinks were amazing. The food was really good, but slightly overpriced in my opinion. The menu is also on the smaller side, so check it first before you go.
Classy. Tasty. Ben great wine service. Server awesome too! Diveen? Love the room. And amuse Bouche cocktails a surprise and a delicious concoction.
expensive... but very good. We had the salmon, the duck, and the lamb belly - as well as shishito peppers, oysters, avocado salad. Each beautiful, spectacular even. As good as it gets - but ya gotta pay!
Sat at the bar in the inner room - wonderful ambience with parties of all sizes and kinds, a big fire going. Amazing drink meny and great winelist. Food fantastic. Friendly and attentive service.
Absolutely breathtaking and tasty in every way
The food was ok -just ok, and considering the price this is not a good recension-, and the ambience was beautiful but they opened the roof so it was an open air dinner at 5°C -31st of december, we still wonder from who was this idea...-. Evidently the heating was not enough and the overall experience was very very very bad, we were eating with the jackets and getting freezed...
Service was exceptional and table was ready prior to reservation time. Ambience is fantastic and it has a nice vibe with quality bar drinks. Food is great quality and unique offerings. It is something I would expect from LA and the foodie scene so with the value spent, nothing that was extraordinary. Don't get me wrong, a great dining experience, but have to be honest given the city and what is expected in Los Angeles.
Fabulous NYE dining experience! Much pricey than the normal menu, but wonderful nonetheless.
I highly recommend this restaurant. $$ but who cares!
Excellent experience across the board
The food was terrific. Service was great especially the sommelier whose name I believe was Ben.
Nice place to eat and environment is good, next time I will go.
Excellent food and service. This was a great place to celebrate our anniversary. My only complaint was that they tried to seat us in the bar when we had made reservations days in advance. We were promptly reseated to a much nicer table in the main dining room when we complained.
I've been here twice now. My friends took me here for a thank you dinner and it was fabulous. We ordered a variety of small, medium and large plates and shared everything. There wasn't one dish that was disappointing. Wondering if it was a fluke, I suggested it for a holiday dinner with another group of friends. We ordered similarly, for everyone to share and the food was amazing, the service great, and consistent. I will be recommending Redbird often!
The space is stunning and makes dinner out feel more like an event. The cocktails and meal did not disappoint -- innovative and interesting without being too weird. Service was attentive and welcoming.
All wonderful, from bar to dining room, the wait staff and the food. Redbird knows how to pamper.
With the fireplace roaring, sitting under a canvas roof was surprisingly warm and comfortable even on a cold, windy night in LA. My 86-yr old mother is very fussy about contemporary restaurant dining, and this place met her requirements as well as delighting the tastes of the Millennial grandchildren and a vegetarian son-in-law.
Delicious. Expensive with typical small portions. Free aperitif and bread. Two appetizers, two entrees, a bottle of wine and a dessert left us feeling full. The service and interior is impeccable and beautiful, respectively.
Food was good, not mind blowing but a solid effort. Service was friendly but not attentive to the details or interested in explaining the courses or pairings. Space and ambiance is excellent.
It is a nice place to eat with friendly staff. Maybe I am just a spoilt European but at these prices the food, the amount and the presentation could really be better.
We had a prix fix Christmas Eve dinner with wine pairing. Overall, had a great time and the good & service was the best.
Amazing food! Neal Fraser is a creative genius!! This has become a Christmas Eve tradition for us,
Terrific dinner for Xmas Eve. We were very full from the prix fixe three course meal. The only criticism I have is that our drinks arrived well after our appetizers and then we weren't offered a beverage with dessert -- we had to flag down someone to order coffee/tea. Other than that, it was a lovely evening.
