Table Boston is the definition of "THE Diamond in the Rough" Although it shouldn't be, as this award-winning restaurant is everything you would expect from a 9 course dinner. From the gnocchi Bolognese to the lemon chicken and everything in between and after. This place is a must visit. Chef Jen Royle is a food artist with her plate presentations and her exquisite recipes. These dishes are heightened only by the expert wine pairings from Italy and Napa by Cat and Tim. I travel across the states and abroad and this place is my new #1.
It is a "Table share" experience, so open your mind, get to know your table neighbor and enjoy an evening experience that you will not forget.
Congrats to Chef Jen! Bon appetit!
A unique experience and amazing food. Brunch was 6 courses and absolutely delicious. Great addition to the North End!
Unbelievable... this style of dining is highly recommended. No disappointments- each course had you wanting more. Thank you Jill and team for a one of a kind experience.
The food, staff and ambiance was outstanding. Unbelievable experience-we’ll be back soon!
This meal was amazing. Everything about it. I will literally be dreaming about this food. I can’t wait to go back for their brunch. Do yourself a favor and put this spot on your list. I live in the North End and this is the best meal I’ve had there. It’s a cant miss.
Just wonderful. From the moment we walked through the door.
Don’t think about it - just go. It’s unique, it’s different, and there’s nothing like it in the city. You will leave with new friends and a full stomach. We loved it and will be back soon!
Service, food and the entire experience could not have been better…a must visit restaurant everyone should experience!!!
What makes Table so great is it’s not another typical North End restaurant that tries to turn you in and out within an hour.
You are the one that rolls out of there because you are so full from delicious food.
I have now had the dinner and brunch and can not say enough nice things about it. The only catch is I would not recommend doing both the same weekend unless you wear an elastic waistband!
The owner + staff is genuine and simply wants you to eat and enjoy each other’s company.
It was my wife's and I first time at Table Boston and we could not have been more satisfied. The portions were beyond generous and the food was outstanding! The atmosphere and the other guests were so friendly and we chatted the entire meal. Last but not least, the service was outstanding! Jen and her staff do such a great job making you feel like part of the Table family and we both left with smiles on our face. It was so nice to enjoy a huge meal without anyone at the restaurant looking at their cell phones and just enjoying each other's company. I would recommend Table Boston to all my friends and family and thanks to Jen for bringing her restaurant to Boston!
We went to celebrate a big birthday and our evening was fabulous! It was fun chatting with the people at the table as well! The food was amazing and plentiful---we were stuffed!!! Also it was a pleasure chatting with Jen after the meal. We wish her all the best at Table and definitely want to return !!!
My husband and I had dinner at Table Friday evening and we could not have been more delighted with the experience. The dinner was delicious, the service was excellent and the bottle of wine that was recommended to us by the server was outstanding. There was more food than we could possibly eat at one sitting. Thank you for the to go box!
Jen took the time to talk with us after dinner and we discovered that we had more in common other than enjoying great food.
We left Table happier than when we arrived. Keep up the great work Jen and staff! We look forward to our return and another wonderful evening.

Very family oriented business, the staff is very friendly and accommodating and the food is DELICIOUS!
The food is very good and served family style with each of the 8 courses served one right after another. The restaurant is small with two long table with seats that are small and closely spaced. There is tap water, beer and wine to drink. Soda, sparkling water, iced tea, coffee and tea would be welcomed. The two servers are delightful.
We loved this place a lot and already booked for later in the summer. Incredible staff and food! Great for an occasion or just for foodies that can never pick out one thing on a menu. So many courses... Go hungry!
Incredible. The food and service were amazing but it was a true experience; novel, fun, different, and truly memorable. Do your self a favor and say yes to this.
Jen and crew are the best in the area hands down. The food was out of this world, front of house were hilarious and accommodating, and overall experience couldn’t be better.
Good food. Fun experience that is counter to a regular dinner. Owner/chef was very passionate about her business and clearly takes pride in what she does.
DELICIOUS DISHES AND A DELIGHTFUL EXPERIENCE! The brunch at Table was excellent. Yogurt parfait was a nice start. What followed was outrageous. Fried dough (yes, for breakfast, duh), breakfast pizza with a soft egg on top, breakfast tacos with perfect tomatoes, fries with a killer plum sauce, and flawless fried chicken and waffles. Come hungry because you will leave full. There will be more than enough food to go around. By the end, you may only get a bite of that chicken and waffle. That's alright. Pack it up and bring it home. Later, when you dig into it, you'll be transported back to the wonderful time you had at Table. The wait staff was so welcoming and Johnny-on-the-spot. They were as essential to the experience as the food itself. Eating family style made the experience even better. Obviously, those that patronize an establishment like this enjoy other people's company. So if you like people, you will find yourself surrounded by kindred spirits — a breath of fresh air with a side of scrumptiousness.
What A brilliant night. Amazing good...like legit. And so much I was full after the bread and course 2...(best pesto I've ever had) the service was fast and friendly. They make you feel like you are at home except they don't judge you on how much you eat like my parents do. Dessert was AH-MAZE-ING. A real gem in the North End
OMG!!! Best meal ever had in Boston!!! Love the concept. Every course was crazy good. Wish we had something similar in New Orleans. I can’t even really put into words the experience. Great servers. Great company. Chef Jen Royle went out her way to catch up with the customers. Would give it 6 stars if I could!!!!
Sweet little place. Family style dining. Table has no liquor license yet and you can’t BYOB. Food was good but lacked being truly exceptional. Service was excellent and enjoyed the style of dining.
We will definitely be back! Great brunch, can’t wait until we get to try dinner. Also server, Megan was great!
We went to Table to celebrate our fifth wedding anniversary and had the most unbelievable dining experience. The service, food and atmosphere exceeded our expectations, it was the best dining experience we have had in Boston. Every course was excellent, with the Meatballs and Eggplant Tower topping the list. We will definitely be back and highly recommend that people experience this unique dining experience that has been created at Table.
The food was delicious and abundant. I would not have put the gnocchi with ragù so early in the meaL since it is the heaviest dish. Mussels early would be better. The gnocchi werr exremely well made, very airy not dense. Definitely need some wine to go with all this grest food, no liquor license or BYOB is a big negative.
Thank you for your comments. We are at the mercy of the city of Boston. Liquor license was already approved and is coming soon. And we have too many seafood allergies to put mussels first. :)
One of the best dining experiences I've had in Boston. I can't think of better bolognese, meatballs, mussells, or eggplant parm I've had anywhere. Everything was so fresh and handmade with a quality you don't find often. It was a vibrant, social atmosphere, everything served family style and generously portioned. It would be impossible to leave this place hungry. Supposedly alcohol will be served soon, but we had an A+ experience without it. And if you make a reservation and don't show up, you are a terrible person! Seriously, this place works harder than most and it is specifically designed to serve the exact number of diners that have reservations. They are very specific about their reservation policy, if you don't follow the rules then it's on you!
This was like an amazing home cooked meal with a dinner party atmosphere. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Have to say, my daughter made reservations for us and what a great experience it was. We had a little hiccup initially with our reservation but the owner jen was so gracious and made sure we were taken care of. Staff was excellent and felt welcomed the minute we walked in, people we met were great and so nice to meet new people in that setting. Nothing better than good conversation while passing a plate at the Table. Now to the food. No question one of the best meals in the city. Prepared and served to perfection. Each course was excellent. I especially enjoyed the gnocchi and egg plant parm. I am sure we left a few pounds heavier! If you are in Boston and are lucky enough to get a reservation, I would definitely make it a must do on your list!!!! Only thing that would have made it a little better would have been a nice glass of wine (they are working on getting alcohol)
It was such a neat experience to sit at a table with people you didn’t know and meet them!
The whole community concept was recognized here.
Food was fantastic, make sure you arrive on an empty stomach as you will be leaving will a full stomach.
You are able to take left overs home if there are any which is a plus!!
Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable!!
Great time meeting everyone!!
I attended Fathers Day Brunch this morning. Staff was great, but food was even better It was incredible. Doughboys, meatballs, ricotta gnocchi, mushrooms, truffle fries, and a filet. Chased it with. A brownie Sunday. All delicious. If I had to complain about some thing today, it was raining.
Wonderful Father’s Day brunch at table. Can’t wait to return for an evening event.
This was a fun dining experience. Table has created a great vibe and serves up excellent food.
Simply put the food was amazing and the server, Tim, was outstanding. The concept and the execution of the whole meal was on point. As soon as we were finishing one course another delicious plate of food was on the way. Everything was cooked perfectly and served hot....it was excellent! The only slight disappointment was that we had looked forward to a loud and boisterous brunch but because of a large cancellation we missed out on the full experience.
I recently took my staff for an appreciation dinner at Table and we were blown away! Each one of my staff could not stop raving about the food. The ambiance is so relaxing and comfortable. The staff was out of this world. Attentive beyond words. And the food...after just getting back from a trip to Italy for ten days, this food made me feel like I was right back there. The courses were so well prepared and mouth watering. Though we were so satisfied after each one, we couldn't wait to see what the next was going to be. The dessert...so simple yet so tasty. I had dreams about those zeppoles! We all can't wait to go back again. Chef Jen Royle is truly amazing and talented. We can't wait to try brunch!! Would recommend everyone try this neighborhood gem in the North End. You won't be disappointed!
What an absolute treat! My husband and I both loved the food and the people- it was like going to a fun party with great food and people you always wanted to meet. Food highlights: Loved loved loved the starter bread with ricotta and whole roasted garlic. Our menu included short rib bolognese gnocchi, a taste sensation like no other. It has become the benchmark by which all future gnocchi will be judged. The fried dough and raspberry coulis dessert were show stoppers. I didn’t even add the hazelnut chocolate- it was too perfect already. By the second course, we booked my big 50th birthday party at Table- no better way I can imagine to kick off the next decade. Choose this place: it is delicious, fun, and a real treat.
Dinner at TABLE by Jen Royle is a fantastic dining experience. Jen’s vision of communal and convivial dining definitely comes to life in this lovely little restaurant. Tim, the front of house manager, does an excellent job helping patrons to settle in and feel right at home. This charismatic and worldly foodie is great at his role and perfectly presents each course as it comes out. The whole TABLE team is fantastic! Such wonderful service.
Not only did the staff welcome us in with open arms, but we were also able to make a strong connection with the couple sitting next to us. We were laughing and sharing stories as we passed platters of the most delectable dishes back and forth. Our experience had to be what Jen was hoping for when she came up with the concept for this restaurant, because it felt like we were dining with old friends, despite this being our first time meeting them.
And the food was quite delicious! Each and every course was so satisfyingly tasty. The bread was soft and made a great starter, especially with some of the roasted garlic. The vegetables were all fresh and well prepared. We love asparagus and shishito peppers, and both were done very well here. Although we loved all of the courses Jen prepared, from the gnocchi Bolognese to the ricotta zeppoli, the two best dishes according to us and our new friends were definitely the gnocchi Bolognese and the beef, veal, and pork meatball. The ricotta gnocchi were so light and pillowy, they just melted in our mouths. The shredded short rib that accompanied the gnocchi was also tender and tasty. We could have just kept on eating them, because the portions were plentiful.
Thankfully, Tim reminded us to pace ourselves, so we had room for all of the other courses. The TABLE team was happy to pack up any leftovers for us to enjoy again at home. We highly recommend TABLE by Jen Royle as a place you should check out. It was a wonderful experience. We are excited to see how the brunch is. ~Katherine & Thomas
To survive this restaurant needs to quickly hire a professional chef, find a new space for the dining hall and get a liqueur license. The price for the meal was $90/person which was completely out of step with the experience. I'll be surprised if beyond the novelty phase of this restaurant people will come to pay that kind of a price of this "quality" of diner experience. The food can be described as home cooking (but not as tasty as it sounds) NOT a high quality restaurant food. The food lacked proper seasoning. The food does not demonstrate any creativity. Three out of the six "Prix fixe" menu dishes were tomato based which left you with the feeling that you are getting variations of the same dish over and over again. The seating is uncomfortable and you seat shoulder to shoulder (literally) with the next guest so private conversation is completely out of the question. It was not very comfortable. The menu does not change over time. This shows the limited capabilities of the kitchen and does not give you a reason to return and try new dishes. We were told the the three tomato base dishes (Gnnochi Bolonese, Eggplant Tower and Meatball), always stays even if the consider making any changes. The waiting staff was friendly but not professional. We will not return.
Starting off a review by personally insulting the executive chef/owner and the professionally-trained waitstaff is profoundly disgraceful. FYI, our menu has changed SIX times in the past four months. Six. And if you'd like to have a private conversation and you don't want to sit "shoulder to shoulder," then you should refrain from making a reservation at a FAMILY-STYLE RESTAURANT WITH COMMUNAL SEATING. Thank you for not returning.
Some of the best Italian food in the city. Very unique and trendy restaurant. The menu was pre-set, with I believe 6-7 courses. Any leftovers were offered to be wrapped up for you and other members to take home, which was AWESOME. Note you sit at a large table with other dinner parties, therefore personal conversations have to be kept to a minimum. As long as everyone is outgoing and friendly you're in for an awesome night. Had to be rolled out of there, as I was so full.
The meal was pricey coming in at around $100 a person including the tip. But for the experience and food it was well worth it!
