Great food- great prices- best happy hour around! Have a ton of various bourbons and cocktails
City Tap Atlanta was a big disappointment! I will never return to this restaurant! I don't remember ever having such poor service.
My family and I waited two hours and never got our food! We left after talking to the server, manager and patiently waiting for another half hour, at this point it was time to leave. Thank goodness for Fado Irish Pub just down the street.
Mid-day brunch date. Great experience.
We chose this restaurant because of the ambiance, and proximity to The Fox theater. Unfortunately, the service was a bit slower than we would have liked (trying to make it to our show), and drink prices seemed a bit on the high side (even for Buckhead).
With all that said, I heard it had just opened in February (so there may still be some growing pains) - and we really did like the ambiance, and food/drink selections.
Would definitely try it again, but maybe after a year or more in operation.
The wings were amazing as well as the corn crab hush puppies
Food wasn't as good this weekend as it was during the week. The food also wasn't pleasing to the eye. Fries were not well done and were salty. Pizza was watery
Hi I visited two days ago and had a bad experience. First the waiters were pretty much fighting over tables. I felt bad for the one guy who was too scared to tell another server who was teeepoing over his toes. He politely apologized but it was super uncomfortable . The table hog was nice but he was also making it known to the other server “not to step on his toes” attitude. It was just poor service from his end. We told him we had a server and he rolled his eyes and said well he was our server now. Definitely won’t come back. The pizza was not good at all. The Mac and cheese however was delicious.
Great atmosphere for sports or trivia. Solid food and good beer selection
The food was good but the service, as usual, was not. There was hardly anyone dining and not really an excuse for the slow service.
Food was just ok but the drinks were really good. Prices are high for value of food. We got nachos, wings, and a pizza to share. Wings were good. Pizza was still covered in flour on bottom but the taste was fine and nachos were really sweet and you couldn’t eat much. Wasn’t very busy but the place is huge so it seems like it would be hard to fill up. Music was fun.
I met my mother-in-law from out of town for dinner and it was a fun experience. Service was pretty slow but the environment was relaxing so we had a great time!
Service was a little slow and was given a menu that was outdated. Food was really good and felt comfortable in the environment. Overall a good experience and would go back.
I sat at the bar for 25 minutes and never once got a drink or water. The bartender was completely overwhelmed and couldn’t run a bar by herself. Was given a table and had to wait 15 minutes for a server to even come over so we had to ask for one. The food (chicken biscuit) was pink in the center and gravy was disgusting. Took them almost an hour to take the closed captioning off the tv blocking the soccer game. Very very disappointing.
Our first meal at City Tap ATL and we were delighted from start to finish.
Great everything. Food was great. Service was on point. Definitely a great place to go anytime
We've dined here 3 times for lunch, and each time there has been a problem. This was by far the worst experience. Only four other people in the restaurant.
Greeter wasn't friendly.
Ordered pizza and salad. After 20 minutes of waiting for at least a salad, I finally flagged down the water, who I had been watching for several minutes as he, the greeter and another waiter danced and sang.
Wood-fired pizza only takes a few minutes to cook. The restaurant was almost empty. Why, then did it take 30 minutes?
One of the pizzas was obviously burned black on the crust and the bottom.
The manager's explanation was that the young woman cooking pizza's has never done it before! I could tell because I watched her play with the pizzas in the oven while we waited.
It took another 30 minutes to receive a second pizza that only takes a few minutes to cook.
When the bill came the waiter didn't calculate our Midtown Alliance discount properly. When I asked him about it he said, "I don't know percentages."
The manager apologized, and offered an additional discount, which didn't even cover the price of one pizza.
So much potential wasted.
Had a reservation but table wasn’t ready. Food delivered was different from what was on he menu. Fish was undercooked twice.
Service was incredibly slow. Brought the wrong beer to 2 people in our party. Took forever to order and get anything. Meal was not good, I had the Pork Fajitas. My pork was over done and not juicy at all. I would not recommend.
It was a nice night out. It was just very hot in the restaurant. Food was good.
It was amazing
I really like the vibe of this place and the food and drink offerings. The primary issue I have with it is that they play the music entirely to loud every time we go. I know they ate straddling the line between upscale pub and sports bar. But, the volume of the music always makes it difficult to have a conversation with the people you’re dinning with. Secondly, the food is good but not consistent. My favorite dish will sometimes be awesome and then other times so so.
I wanted to give it a chance but the service wasn’t just bad, but it was slow as well. Food took a long time to arrive and when it did it we were missing an entree/plate for another 20 minutes. When it arrived finally it was incorrect. For the high prices I would expect overall better experience and food. No real remorse or concern for the guest and the experience. Unfortunately it may not be around for long if something doesn’t change.
Husband and I both had burgers which have this odd greasy sauce slathered all over them. The bacon on mine was completely raw and had to be sent back. Street corn dip had very little flavor. Overall not great food, especially for the price.
Cecelia was a great server. So friendly and attentive. We thought the food was delicious!!
I would recommend City Tap to a friend but I would not recommend the fried rice. It was very bland and definitely not worth the money. The rest of the party was satisfied with their entrees and appetizers. Nice ambience, but a little pricey for the value and dishes.
Food was amazing, atmosphere is perfect for everything and the in-between. All around great experience.
We dined at City Tap before a show at The Fox. It was nice, so we sat outside, and we enjoyed that the bar opened up so we could peek at the sport scores on the tv. Our server was friendly, but service was slow. We waited nearly 10 minutes for salt and pepper (why none on the tables?) and the check when we were ready to leave. The food was ok, but nothing stood out. I had the veggie burger and my date had a Caesar salad and rice bowl. The beer selection was good with at least 8-10 of each style. I’d come back if I was in the area, but there are many other restaurants I’d seek out first.
Love the patio dining. The place is absolutely nice. Big screen TV’s very conveniently located throughout the restaurant.
I gave City Tap a chance because I have been told the food is great. I was skeptical because every other review on open table said service was horrible but food was good. I decided to try it and was not disappointed with the food BUT the service was horrible. My husband and I sat outside as it was a beautiful day and the server was so unenthusiastic about his job it made the whole experience not worth going back. He took forever with drinks, forgot our order and had to come back to confirm, did not check in so our drinks ran empty, and took forever getting us the check. He rolled his eyes while talking and just overall had an I don't care about my job vibe. Being that the food was great I think it's dissapointing that the owners/management are not taking into consideration that service can make or break an establishment especially when every other review has given a 1 or 2 star on service. I will not be going back!
Great service- fun atmosphere- many options for vegetarians- burger eaters were very happy.
Brought my team here. Usually a great experience but my fried chicken sandwich was WAY too salty. Oh-em-gee!!!
This place has an awesome atmosphere, is a great spot and has everything to shine above all others in Midtown but the service is very poor, they keep forgetting things, food arrives late to the table, it’s not what’s is expected. Food was really good though. I believe that with a better service and some lunch specials it could go high!!! I will be back.
Great place to gather with friends. The Moscow mule was delicious!
The food was good but the service was pretty bad. He never checked on us or engaged with the table at all. We were sitting at an outside table and decided to cash out and move to the bar. The server that took over inside was nice and did a good job.
I truely enjoyed City Tap on this visit. This is my third visit to the restaurant and the service and food were excellent! The manager and waiter went out of their way to meet our needs and ensure we had a great dining experience! I highly recommend!
Delish! Great outside eating.
Had birthday dinner for 8 there Sat night. Had a great time; cocktails were super good. Service was excellent! Fun atmosphere!
Great food and service! Loved sitting out on the patio and enjoying the city views
Love the atmosphere but the service was pretty bad and the food wasn't great. I was disappointed because I really enjoyed it the first time I visit. However, this visit was underwhelming.
