Atlanta Fish Market
Don't forget to check out Pano's Market offering fresh seafood for you to cook at home! Open Monday to Saturday from 10 AM to 6 PM.
Great meal and service! The fish selections are plentiful, fresh, and prepared well. The valet parking is a cluster so if they are stacked up go across the street to the public parking.
The food and service were excellent!
The crab cakes are better than what I ate when I lived in Maryland. Sorry Terps!
Always dependable and consistently excellent. The brouled Chilean sea bass with mixed veggies and mashed potatoes is food from the Gods.
Dinner delicious but on last visit our drinks seemed unusually small and not worth the price.
Our waiter was wonderful. The wine was not cold and she was able to arrange to chill it and it was perfect.
A favorite place for special occasions and to enjoy friends with discriminating palettes. Also easy of access in the middle of the city, like the other establishments in this family of diverse restaurants.
Still one of the finestdining options in Atlanta.
My previous experience was excellent compared to last visit. The server waste water on my food. Was rude and stand offish when asking her about items on the menu. Because this is my favorite restaurant, I will still come back.
Atlanta Fish was always our easy go to. Not any more. Our waiter could not speak english. I would ask a simple question and he would look at me and cock his head, it became very annoying. He would repeat
what was told to him but could not answer your questions. The second thing he ask me to keep my silver wear after the salad and I had no where to lay it down, the table did not seem clean. We ordered wine and the wine glasses were smudged. I saw another table send the wine back for cleaner glasses. At the end of dinner the waiter came around and ask if we wanted take home boxes. We just looked at each other all of our plates were empty. He was dead serious, would not leave until we said no. Enough said.....Very disappointed.
The food was good and service was great! The fried fish smell along with the booth that had a hole in it kind of put a damper on the restaurant. It just needs a little TLC and it will be great overall.
This place is fine. Somewhat expensive for what it is, a little gimmicky, perhaps, but the crab cake was darn good as was the bisque, while the caesar salad was underdressed and the lettuce was chopped, for some reason, and the entrees weren't great to look at - I had the lobster scampi and all seafood on it was undercooked and there was hardly any scampi sauce. Also, where did all the lobster go? I had a halved tail and no claw meat at all, while the shrimp is the cheap kind, U21/25 so very small, and they used bay scallops - it was so overcooked that the crap filling wouldn't even come out of it. Same was true for the seafood au grating my wife ordered, completely overcooked, way too saucy, with a scoop of undercooked, dried out rice on top of it. We came in at 830 so everyone was understandably over being at work, which is fine, but our server was quite capable and was fairly attentive.
Overall, way too pricey for what it is, but not awful either. Three stars because I wouldn't say it's a two, and the crab cake, bisque and delicious bottle of Kim Crawford and gin concktails were executed nicely. But, ultimately, just meh.
Our first visit to Atlanta Fish Market was very disappointing!! We were seated in the main dining room in a booth with a worn-out sticky tabletop finish all but gone. The booth seat back was torn and badly repaired. Looking up at the big potted artificial Palm was nasty as the palm frons was filled with cobwebs and has not been cleaned in some time. We were seated with dirty menus. The water glasses were HOT. We were served very good bread, but the butter plate was hot, so the butter melted. (maybe this is the way they serve their butter). It took a good 15 minutes to get a drink. I ordered a dark and stormy, which is one of my favorites but this one was gross!!. My wife ordered a glass of wine, served in a dirty glass. For dinner, I ordered the sauteed grouper and subbed the sides for grits and coleslaw. The fish was maybe 4oz was overdone and dry. The grits and slaw were good. My wife Ordered Lump crab cakes did not appear to be Lump crab more like body meat. I also ordered a lobster roll to go and was told it was a lunch item, and only what was leftover from lunch was served at dinner first come first serve. A few managers were walking through the dining room never with a smile, never saw a manager approach a table. Overall service was prolonged, and the staff reflected the managers attitude never smiling. I never got to visit AFM in its hay day, but that is long gone. The bathrooms were very clean.
We love the fishmarket. We ate in the bar so it would be quieter which it was but the atmosphere was just OK. My husband’s mashed potatoes came when he was almost finished with his lobster and the manager did give us a free drink which was appreciated but we were surprised that this happened and we had already asked about it twice. Also when we finished dinner the table was never cleared and we sat at a dirty table until we left. The water was rarely refilled, Another disappointment in service. The lobster stuffed lobster was amazing and the kale salad was amazing. We would still come back but felt you should be apprised of this issue
The restaurant is awesome and the food is great. Definitely a place to eat at if you are in Atlanta
The food was excellent but it took a long time.
Older established seafood restaurant in Atlanta. Very friendly waitstaff and service was good. Steamed lobster was perfect!
Grilled trout was delicious. Serving of mashed potatoes and veggies was really small
For the amount we paid, the food was just okay. Pasta was bland and crab cakes were okay. It used to be a solid place to eat but now it’s not so much.
Clam chowder best in town!
It was a very nice evening., nothing WRONG with it. But I have to learn to not to be taken in by the wonderful descriptions of the lobster dishes during"lobster month." I'm from the part of the Northeast where lobsters are pulled from the water and steamed for guests to eat right there overlooking the shore. And while the lobster scampi was very tasty, it couldn't compare with my hopes and memories. It's my own fault. More significantly, though, we were in and out in less than an hour. We didn't feel rushed, exactly, but one of the things I love about restaurant dining is that it encourages us to slow down. This didn't. No worries - we love Buckhead Life restaurants and will be back to AFM.
Great meal. Perfectly cooked fish and delightful service!
The server was knowledgeable and accommodating. The food was excellent and plentiful. It was an excellent overall experience!
Good food if you're a seafood lover, great decor, little on the noisy side
Hostess was not very welcoming, warm or friendly
Great valet service. We were seated upon arrival. Great service and Great food.
Our favorite seafood restaurant. Noisy surrounding customers today detracted from our enjoyment. Service was good and food pleasant
Awesome experience... love the atmosphere... Rudy was the waiter and he was awesome!! All the staff would stop by and just make sure the table was good...
Everything was exceptional! Service, menu, food & beverage -our evening from start to finish. We even got a group photo! Two thumbs up!
Atlanta Fish Market is the best seafood restaurant in the South!
We came to Atlanta fish market for a family dinner and over all had a good experience but it took 45 minutes to get our food and the restaurant wasnt even fully crowded the food was OK the service was OK except for the food being late
Great atmosphere and service. Consistently good food, we will be back.
I have been a number of times and each time find something new to try. I appreciate that they allow you to substitute items and the server lets you know if there is an upcharge so you can decide not to do it. This server was very knowledgeable about the items on the menu and helpful. But she has much to do and was not checking back on a regular basis, so I just asked the manager for what I needed.
The service experience needs a total overhaul. Buckhead life should start with checking out the men’s and women’s bathrooms which are disgusting. The service experience was painfully slow. And it wasn’t busy on Sunday afternoon. This place has been an Atlanta bedrock reliable establishment for 20+ years. But the last few meals the service has gone down so far.
Had this been a 1 time deal I wouldn’t written it off. But it wasn’t.
Food is still very good. But it shouldn’t take 2 hours to eat lunch when it’s not busy. Too much waiting around for our order, for water and for food.
I love the fish market but the service was awful she was sooo slow to bring our food when she finally did she messed up one order. Took forever to get our check
Food was great but we felt we didn’t get the best service that we were expecting or saw/heard from other waiters.
As always the Fish Market's food and service was outstanding. The menu is so broad there is something for everyone and all of the food was prepared perfectly. Can't wait to go back!
Server was wonderful, food was a beautiful
