Spago - Beverly Hills
Birthday Luncheon. My lobster salad was very disappointing. Just a bunch of greens with lobster on top, fairly boring, and very surprising for Spago.
Spago is a one stop destination for everything great about going out to eat. Great food, great service, a welcoming atmosphere and the feeling of the time there being special.
Spago is the place to go for any occasion, especially notable ones.
We love it.
Wonderful food and friendly staff. I wish they had more vegan options though!
Ein perfektes Abendessen
Had a lovely dinner Tuesday night. We stayed outside in the courtyard. Very pleasant, huge fireplace was on when we arrived. Nicely lit at night.
We had a very nice waitress- Marguerite ( I hope that is her name). Superb service.
We started with the famous pizza, moved to 2 pastas- the corn filled Anglotti and the Garganelli, split the sea bass with lobster, zucchini side dish and the SBH chocolate desert.
The side dish was bland and very overpriced ($14.00). The chocolate dessert- bland, nicely plated but I could not taste the hazelnut ice cream .
Great wine list, albeit on the very high side. But it is Spago BH. And on occasion, it is worth the spurge.
Great food and service but that doesn't come cheap. It's worth it for worthwhile events and cherished people.
Great experience, outstanding service, delicious food
I have nothing bad to say about the place, only positive experience. BUT as I mentioned to the manager, there is no baby changing station in the restaurant, and it’s disappointing. Besides us, there were many babies at the restaurants. We paid $200 for lunch and I had to change the diaper on the restroom floor. How is that possible? Hope they listen.
Met Wolfgang!! He was so gracious and welcoming :)!!!
We are loyal Spago clients. By far our favorite restaurant in town.
Great restaurant, excellent food , nice atmosphere and amazing experience.
Such a lovely meal and great to experience this gorgeous restaurant. We had the best time.
Been here 4 times now with my wife and normally have a great time with friendly staff and great food except this time. This time the air conditioning vent above my wife was dripping water on her. They turned it off after we notified them but there was no apology. Our server was terrible. Did not introduce himself, did not check on us and barely said hello. We observed him with his back towards us chatting with other clients.
Excellent food; excellent service; servers were attentive to our needs; highly recommended
The food was great but we had to wait 50 mins to get a table even with reservation with specific request for patio, we were charged incorrectly for some drinks and it was supposed to be refunded.. no sign off that yet, my sister got sat in a puddle when we finally got seated and then certain things discussed with hostess weren’t passed on to the waiter (we were celebrating a big bday) etc the list goes on. Sadly it wasn’t a good experience for the price. I am just glad this was a personal dinner and I didn’t bring clients here as that would have been very embarrassing.
I came in 3x for DineL.A. Management and staff are just great. Chef made last day so special with so many surprises. I just love the food, people and ambiance. Thank you Spago! See you soon
It was 90 degrees in Beverly Hills that day. Patio was very warm so we asked to be moved to the main room which felt still like 82 degrees. Only one waiter during lunch so porters could not answer our dining questions. Porters made their best effort which was much appreciated. Food was excellent as we had the fixe course lunch menu. Will come back.
My wife and I had visited Spago for a dinner date during dine LA. The menu was extraordinary and service was fantastic. The shear number of courses will make your head spin. Each and every one was delicious but the stand outs were the Charred Octopus in Coconut Aguachile and the White Corn Agnolotti. The servers were very attentive and always ready to take away empty plate so that the next course could be offered. We were even treated to a meet and greet with chef Tetsu. It made our evening to meet the man behind the wonderful food we were enjoying. Cocktails were another bright point of the evening we thoroughly enjoyed the “I’m so sexy” and “Pepino’s Revenge”. The best part was the ambiance, casual enough to be relaxing without being sleepy and exactly what we needed that evening.
Wonderful tasting menu, great service, enjoyed the tour of the kitchen and photo op!
I guess my expectations were pretty high or my standards are different since I have gone to various michelin starred restaurants. It was a little disappointment in terms of ambience and food. A few items like pasta and steak were very good. Other items like the charcoal with fish bone was disgusting to me. ambience is nothing special. They did do a kitchen tour for dineLA which is a little different. For the price, I would choose something else like Bazaar.
We had a lovely evening at Spago. The ambience on a Sunday evening was quite chill and elegant.
Dinner guests were casual, chic - not flashy. (remember, it was a Sunday, so nut sure what the crowd is like on other nights).
The service is impeccable. Seriously, stand out.
The menu is not extensive, so my head didn't go into a spin choosing from what is often too many choices.
The restaurant was lively, but not loud.
Staff was outstanding!
Did the DineLA Dinner menu. All the food was stunning and I enjoyed most everything on the menu. My absolute favorite items were the breakfast macaron and the tuna tartare in a tuille cone. I was also pleasantly surprised when the staff gave us a tour of the kitchen. If you're interested in coming for DineLA specifically, I would urge you to check with the restaurant what times they serve that menu. I went in Summer 2019, so DineLA at this time was served from 5:30 - 6:30 pm and 9:00 pm - 10:00 pm.
The best restaurant in LA, bar none!
Everything was wonderful except the food. It was very good, but not the exceptional expected.
My mother took me there for my birthday and we had a wonderful time. Food and service was excellent. It was a terrific afternoon!
We love Wolfgang Puck restaurant in Maui and had high hopes for this one. Well, let’s just say that not all restaurants are the same just because of the name.
Food was OK, drinks were great, server was wonderful but management needs some retraining.
We were asked to move our table because of another guest. Why wouldn’t they address the issues with the other guest instead of making us move? What’s the point of making someone else move to make the unruly guest uncomfortable. Or would it be the manager that would be uncomfortable by doing his job?
No apologies, not even a sorry desert! We will not be back.
One suggestion: some wait staff is better suited to be in management as they get it, and some management needs to either be retained or get another job.
Amazing food! Even gave us a quick tour of the kitchen
The tasting menu is superb! Loved all the details and the intention of marrying different flavours
We went there as recommended by friends but we were disappointed.
No value for money for what you eat . very small portions and some of them even do not taste good enough for the price you pay.
Amazing service. Really innovative tasting menu.
It was very good
The food was fresh and well prepared. Excellent for special occasions.
Great evening meal. Really special restaurant and good was excellent
