Harvest Seasonal Grill & Wine Bar – Newtown
I find the food selection too limiting. Service was just great. The taste of the food was very good.
We enjoyed our meals and experience at Harvest. The food selections were fabulous and so fresh and flavorful. That is our go to place when visiting relatives in PA. We come from Long Island, NY!
The food was nutritional delicious well seasoned. The atmosphere was calm cool and collected. And the staff well just as wonderful as the food.
Outstanding food! Wait time was a little bit longer than it should have been, but they were very busy.
Food was excellent! Service was superb! We tried the featured appetizer, sorry don't remember what is was except that is was delicious. We then each had the scallops and were very satisfied.
We are regulars at Harvest. We come every couple of weeks and have yet to be disappointed. It is consistently great, the food is always fantastic, and the rotating seasonal menu keeps us coming back to try new creations.
Bartenders, wait staff and management are all friendly and great at their job! Food and menu are excellent! However, people should be aware that prices here have greatly increased from when this location first opened.
Delicious food and atmosphere! Excellent prices. Service was superb. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!
Harvest NEVER disappoints !
Love the ever changing, inventive seasonal menu. The Bourbon cocktails are always delicious. If you have the opportunity to attend one of their specialty cocktail pairing dinners...DO IT!
Sent drink back and ordered glass of wine
Service was amazing and the summer menus is one of the best.
Always love eating at Harvest!!
Great food, great service. We will definitely eat there again, we are going to make Harvest a weekly stop
The experience was wonderful!! Great food and awesome service. Restaurant was initially a bit loud but the noise gradually decreased!!
Very good and we love the bar !
Service and food are always EXCELLENT at this location. Been here a handful of times and every dish we have tried is to die for. This particular store has an awesome manager (Dan) and waitstaff. Always a pleasant and satisfying dining experience. Highly recommend!
This was my first time eating at Harvest Seasonal Grill & Wine Bar. I was interested because of the many plant-based options available. I loved that they had a separate menu for that. The server was very knowledgeable about the menu. My parents tried a few "mocktails" which they really enjoyed. Everyone in our party was satisfied with the quality and quantity of their meals. I will definitely be returning in the future.
Consistently great service and fare. It’s a regular for us.
WE LIKED EVERYTHING ABOUT HARVEST EXCEPT THE NOISE FROM THE BAR. IT SEEMED SOMEONE SELECTED MUSIC WITH A HEAVY BASS BEAT THAT DRIFTED INTO THE DINING ROOM. IT DETRACTED FROM AN OTHERWISE PLEASANT EVENING.
Not very impressive
Enjoyed our meal. Always good service and consistent!
Birthday dinner with my husband
Some food was very good and some average. Took a very long time to get each course.
Always a great experience! Food is fresh and delicious. Servers are attentive and friendly
First time visit. We went for my birthday not realizing it was restaurant week. We had the four course meal. It was delicious, and I had something for lunch the next day. Great food and even better that it was healthy and local. Will definitely go back
Very energetic and lively . Great food and good happy hour.
Been here numerous times and love the fact the menu changes with the seasons and participates in Newtown Restaurant week. Food always fresh, tasty and creative.
Our experience this time was less than fantastic. The food was tasty but not nearly as good as we’ve had in the past. The halibut was served on cold orzo thus chilling the fish too quickly. The artichoke dip was also cold and we were expecting it to be hot. Our waiter was very good.
We were first time visitors who will definitely be returning! The menu had so many options appealing to many different tastes! We had trouble selecting and know we have to get back to try some other options!! All items we received were delicious! I utilized the “Restaurant Week” 4-course meal, and was genuinely happy with all parts! My husband selected Halibut because his brother lives in Alaska and he hasn’t had it in a while. Overall amazing!
Anytime I have been to Harvest in Newtown the wait staff has been attentive, efficient and friendly. The food is always fresh and done just right. Unfortunately, the noise level is too loud. This is disappointing because there are two friends I would like to go there with who won't go because of how loud it gets. It is often difficult to hear someone sitting right next to you at the table.
Quality food, made as we ordered it. We didn't need to send anything back.
It was VERY noisy. We got the Halibut and it was way to over cooked. We asked for lemons and extra sauce and told the waitress why. She smiled, and brought the condiments. When she brought the check she gave us a comment card and told us to write our concerns. REALLY??? As we were leaving, we mentioned it to the manager, his response, “I wish I knew” - does he not train his staff to immediately bring ANY issues to his attention? We told him our waitress knew. His response was basically a shrug.
We will not be back, there are way too many restaurants in the area with way better service.
Good food, good service! Nice presentation and free parking!
Everyone was kind and the food was delicious!
I've been dining at Harvest frequently as I've always had better than average service and the food has been prepared well with minor adjustments which the kitchen has always accommodated until my last experience. I had 6:00 reservations and needed to up the time to 5:30 due to a commitment later that evening I had to attend to last minute. I was able to modify my reservations with no trouble and was seated with 2 others in my party at the new time of 5:30.
We weren't served until 6:30 and our server, Rachel, barely acknowledged our presence. We ordered 2 Greek salads one with no kale and one with no banana peppers and no onions. Both came without modifications. Our server never offered to make a new one or offer a credit to our bill. We also ordered the Avocado Artichoke Dip which was swimming in oil and therefore inedible. We barely touched it, and our server didn't acknowledge it nor make any attempt to replace it.
For the main course, the salmon was way, way over cooked, the sweet corn ravioli was way way under cooked - almost like raw dough. We ordered the chicken entree to go because I had to leave for my appointment. Needless to say the experience was poor. Normally a good server can mitigate kitchen problems, but unfortunately ours just enhanced them. We were charged full price for a complete meal we barely ate.
We still tipped 20%; we will still go back and try Harvest again, but Tuesday, July 23rd was an off night.
The decor is appealing and the food unique and tasty. What wasn’t acceptable was the quality of the wine. Even at Happy Hour, the wine was overpriced as the quality of the choices were sub par. We ordered two glasses of house Cabernet, and were not informed by our waiter that the size of the portion varied price wise. The menu said $4.00 for house wines but when we received the bill at the end of our meal, we were charged $8.00! Apparently, $4.00 would buy a small glass and double the price would buy a normal portion of wine at any other bar/restaurant! We were not given a choice of size nor did we indicate we wanted a larger portion! I found this unacceptable! The wine was flat and bland. $8.00 would have bought 2 bottles of this low quality wine at the State Store!
Food was amazing, I’ve eaten there before haven’t had a bad meal yet. The farm fresh aspect of the food is definitely something you can taste. I can literally eat there everyday if I could. I will back again and again
Wine was priced to high for the wine i drank
the server was wonderful her name is rachael
Food and service excellent....both my friend and I also had the Sangria flight which was delicious...will definitely go back
