Damn! Absolutely fantastic! The Polipo Grigliato –
octopus, eggplant caponata, roasted grape tomato sauce is to die for!!! I have had it before on the menu but with artichokes... to me this is the overall winner though and the perfect combination. The Capelli d'Angelo Pesto Siciliano con Pomodoro –
angel hair, sun-dried tomato & almond pesto, pecorino, roasted pine nuts will send you over the moon!
So fantastic, I am a huge fan of this establishment and look forward to many more meals to come.
The home made pastas are outstanding. The menu always has very good specials. Always an enjoyable meal and one of my favorite BYOB's.

Chef Kevin and his team last Friday evening absolutely delivered a 5 star memorable experience! From the ease, convenience and abundance of parking off of Main Street in beautiful downtown Medford, your eyes and soul are drawn to the quaint storefronts to the unassuming sign “ITA 101” The brilliance flashed before me as I starred at the sign, it’s name is reminiscent of a college course acronym, where those who upon entering will be educated in the sacred art of a dining experience. From the poised, attentive, and gracious waitstaff that immediately welcomed us and expertly made each course flow, to the gorgeous gastronomic masterpieces to the hand hewn pastas that Chef Kevin composed, all testified to his discipline and dedication in delighting guests! Bravo! Ancora!

ITA 101 surpassed our expectations.
We started with the fresh strawberries with prosciutto and balsamic vinegar from the Emilia Romagna regional menu, a more savory pairing than the traditional melon but still a nice, tasty bite.
We then had the trio of smoked fish and the grilled octopus from the regular menu. Both delicious, the octopus was sublime.
For pasta, we had half portions of cacao e pepe chitarra and fettucine with rabbit ragu and apricots followed. I loved, loved my cacio e pepe and the rabbit ragu was incredible perfection. We both could have eaten full portions because they were THAT delicious!
Entrées were the short rib brasato from the regular menu and the braised boar shoulder from the regional menu. Meltingly tender, unctuous and amazing.
Dessert for me was the bicerin, a traditional Piedmontese hot drink native to Turin, Italy, made of espresso, drinking chocolate and whipped cream served layered in a small rounded glass and a dessert of English pea crème brulée and caramelized strawberries from their June Sagre English Peas menu. The other dessert was the Vanilla gelato with fresh strawberries and balsamic vinegar from the regional menu.
Superlative service from the staff along with the amazing food made for a delightful evening as we sipped a bottle of our favorite old vine zinfandel and conversed through dinner. The small space evokes a European ambiance and camouflaged acoustic baffles scattered across the wall and ceiling allow for conversation without difficulty through dinner.
A gem of a restaurant in South Jersey that will whisk you away to a true Italian Ristorante/Trattoria for a few pleasurable hours. Be sure to take along your favorite person and your favorite bottles of wine. We have been back regularly for dinner and brunch and for Chef Maher's cooking classes.
Pasta tasting was tremendous and everything was timed perfectly. Our server, Morgan, was excellent as always.
We’ve been dining there since opening day. Chef Kevin has consistently exceeded our expectations but last night set new highs. A better dinner can’t be found anywhere in South Jersey. We refer to ITA as our second home kitchen. Thank you for continuing to delight our entire family.

Received an email advertising a specific Sunday menu for 8/4, set up the reservation based on that email. When we got there the menu had been changed which was quite disappointing. None the less, the food was exceptional as always, service was very good. Always look forward to going to ITA 101.

As always a wonderful dining experience. A hidden gem in South Jersey with Chef Kevin as one of the most innovative and creative shifts in the entire area. His staff is well-trained and well versed in what is being prepared that night. The menu was always based around regions in Italy, always a surprise and always support. Excellent job. Pasta was amazing as always but the other appetizers and entree were not up to par compared to our previous experience.
The food was great but after the byob people had a couple drinks on board, it got so loud I couldn’t hear the other people at the table. We’ll come back but either for lunch or a week night. The food was definitely worth the noise.
I went with my 17 year old son and my husband for the price fixe pasta tasting menu on a weeknight and everything was absolutely delicious! Each dish was like a beautiful jewel - first you look at the beautiful presentation, then the aroma and finally the taste! I loved every course. Chef Kevin is extremely talented. Plus, the attentiveness of the servers - they anticipate your needs. I highly recommend ITA 101 for a special occasion as well as for a delicious weeknight or weekend meal.
Not our 1st time here and yet it is always a new and unique experience with an ever changing menu. The chef/owner clearly puts his heart and soul into making it a memorable experience. We traveled all through Italy and this restaurant always takes us back there.

From appetizers to dessert there wasn’t anything we ordered that we didn’t love! Absolute most is the home made tiramisu!
Food was good, not amazing like I had heard it was. The best thing I had that night was the dessert and the bread with olive oil in the beginning of the meal. Service was excellent, our waitress was very nice and attentive. We did have a very nice table right by the window!

We planned an early dinner because as older individuals we did not want lots of noise. The sound level was fine until we were finishing dessert and all the tables were full. One companion disliked her pasta. A taste made me feel it was not cooked quite enough. The waiter was more than attentive and offered another plate to replace it. The tasting menu was excellent.

Food and service were excellent, but portions were very small for the price. Also, they said it was a scratch kitchen, but we asked them to substitute pasta for mashed potatoes and they refused.

Awesome Sunday brunch menu, and a perfect outdoor table made for a fabulous end-of-the-weekend experience. Chef Kevin knows what he's doing! Super fresh, super tasty and the BYOB option keeps it economical.
Very pleasant atmosphere. Accommodating staff and excellent food
I’ve been to ITA a number of times and it never disappoints. The weekend menus are always a different region of Italy and chef Kevin nails it every time. The pasta dishes are always fresh and delicious. The chicken with gnocchi is a favorite as well as the short rib. You can’t leave without trying the Tiramisu prepared table side.
Both my wife and I had a wonderful dinner. Everything we ordered was exceptionally prepared from the squash blossom appetizer to the Sicilian ricotta pie. Our server was both friendly and knowledgeable and even though the room was crowded, the noise level was minimal.
Morgan's service and interest in us the customers was terrific.
The prix fixe menu on this Wednesday night included three homemade pastas which were each different and delicious. The octopus appetizer was very tender. One of the diners ordered off of the menu and her pasta dish was a chocolate fettucine with wild boar ragu. It was very good. Aside from the volume of noise, I would recommend the food!
Food was phenomenal. Had gotten the squid ink linguini and it was out of this world. Wait times were a little longer then expected when the food arrived but I guess you have to wait for good authentic food. The dining area has many sound foam boards soaking up the ambient noise. Very home like atmosphere with modern touches. The best part had to be the tiramisu that was prepared in front of us. Delicious!! 5/5
