Visit Harvest for a long lunch on the cool verandah, sample the bespoke weekly changing Wild Harvest menu at night (which is created after a day foraging in the Hinterland) or enjoy a traditional country breakfast at the weekend.
Harvest has received multiple accolades over the years including a hat in the Good Food Guide 2019 and Best Small List (50 Wines) by Gourmet Traveller Wine 2018.
Waitress staff were too busy to offer any kind of decent service. Quite rude and unorganised really. Food is over rated... I won’t be coming back. This place is incredibly over rated
An amazing meal! Wonderful food carefully prepared the. Delivered to the table by warm and knowledgeable staff. The cuttlefish was a standout. Thank you for a memorable evening. We’ll be back.
We had great expectations and was bitterly disappointing. They said it was a forager meal and venison does not exist in area. It was tasteless and over cooked. Not fresh but frozen. The wine tasted like cordial
Excellent lunch. Pepper and salt were requested but the request forgotten. Second request produced the pepper and salt, but the meal was half finished by then. Otherwise, a very enjoyable dining experience
Amazing food, beautifully presented.
Personable wait staff who work effectively together. Highly recommend!
Thank you for another great visit to Harvest, we hadn’t been for quite a while but loved it as always!
Harvest is as good as it gets!! Lovely interesting, healthy food. So nice I had to order
3 courses and wine. Never mind, I haven’t been anywhere better than this, not Melbourne,
France or Spain, where we have just returned from!!!
A lovely lunch, served with good humour and knowledge of the product. We found the music on the loud side.
This was one of the most memorable meals I have ever had! We shared the Tasmanian trout and I am still talking about it! Shared a magnificent Riesling. Would go back anytime! Service was excellent and friendly helpful staff. What more can I say?
We had a fabulous Italian waitress , who made our first time to harvest very pleasant. And the food was exceptional , our chefs for the night should be very proud of what they served. Thank you we will tell everyone and be back.
This was the best meal I’ve had all year - great staff. Food was spectacular and great ambience.
First visit on recommendation to Harvest restaurant. Delicious food which we shared and enjoyed greatly. Our waitress could have been friendlier.
Fabulous food and attentive and informative service.. thank you!!
We loved everything about this place! The food was amazing, great service and the venue was gorgeous. We especially enjoyed finishing off our drinks by the fireplace after dinner.
What a gorgeous dining experience! Such a beautiful setting, exemplary service that was warm and knowledgeable, and absolutely mouth watering food. The lamb was delicious! Highly recommended and can’t wait to visit again
The food, service and ambience made for a lovely lunch and I look forward to our return!
Enjoyed our lunch. The food was excellent and the wine list was significantly better than the last time were there. On that occasion it consisted mainly of wines from the local region which were basically poor. Almost didn’t go back but glad we did.
Amazing Food! Definately will be returning again very soon.
Wonderful dining experience!
Came here on a date with my boyfriend, we had the 5 course set menu which was divine.
The food was fresh and different!
The staff were all so lovely and any questions we had about the menu they answered.
We will definitely come back.
We'd heard about this wonderful restaurant at Newrybar for a while so it was wonderful to finally try it.
The food was wonderful, the service outstanding and to sit in front of the fire with a coffee on a cool drizzly day was the stuff of dreams when you're a Queenslander with no winter to speak of!
Beautiful food, amazed and delighted by the wild harvest forgaing concept and the food was simply amazing.
Wine choice was an issue on the night we dined, limited to a few varieties and seemingly the most expensive bottles as a result of a shipment not arriving. Which was a bit of a shame.
One of our favourite restaurants in the region. Love the restaurant, love the food and love the vibe. The Harvest team always delivers - and they certainly did again!
Fantastic food, great service. Lovely little side menu of foraged ingredients to peruse.
Recommend a pre meal cocktail at the bar before moving to the dining room to indulge in the meal for two with two sides accompanied by wine recommended by the wait team. Delicious.
Food was excellent and coffee was great as well. Staff were friendly and it was all in a beautiful setting- we went more than once in our week visiting the area. Would highly recommend it and hope to be back again.
Away on holiday
We went to Harvest over weekend for breakfast. Service started well but after our meals came the waitress went looking for salt and pepper but never returned, then had to ask another waitress re the side dish that was missing.
Overall food was good but not great
Fabulous dining experience! All ingredients on the dinner menu are sourced locally. The wait staff had a thorough knowledge of each dish. The 5 course menu was divine, a perfect balance of flavours. Would definitely recommend 'Harvest' to anyone who appreciates fine dining and food with a difference. Possibly suited more to an adults pallette just because of the complexity and use of the ingredients. Compliments to the chef!!
Forager's Wednesday night dinner was outstanding as was the service. A real delight and a great start to a short break!
Wonderful food. Creative use of native ingredients. Great setting and service.
Great food and friendly service. Also dog friendly!
Rustic charm and character, staff were so enthusiastic and attentive, ambience kicked off well with the lounge area and drinks before commencing to dining. Freshly foraged produce put together creatively and artistically!
Opted for the 5 course menu.. it is supposed to be the speciality dishes of the house. There was nothing special in any of the dishes.. -except for the tea actually - there was a lack of taste , even though you can tell the ingredients are really fresh.
also the loud large group table didn’t help and the fact that nobody cared when I practically left my desert untouched .
there are smalldetails that you can’t avoid paying attention to.. cutlery on the table without a place mat/ table cloth
Always reliably outstanding food and service. A Sunday lunch delight
Words cannot describe the very pretentious and under whelming food. At no point did the menu allude to the fact that the lamb main was actually a dry pulled lamb breaded pattie. That was the start and the rest did not improve.
This restaurant is something special. Fairy lights, a roaring fire, a closed in verandah in the Queenslander style—this is an impossibly romantic and rustic space. Great drinks list with innovative cocktails and some obscure but delicious wines on offer. The food was absolutely scrumptious. Mahi mahi crumpets with fresh horseradish, just divine and perfectly balanced. Sourdough from the 100 plus year old wood fired oven with freshly churned, local butter—yummy. We loved our time at Harvest.
A wonderful place for a special event as we were. We will certainly return when next in the area. Thank you.
Food was amazing! Outstanding staff!
We both tried new and wonderful foods and dared to experience something out of the ordinary. Thank you for sharing something special about everything endemic to the area.
We were very disappointed with the selection and quality of wines available. Three of our party were disappointed with the quality of the meals offered. Whilst kangaroo is expected to be a little tough, this was difficult to eat at all. The sardines were swamped in a jus that resulted in us losing the flavour of the fish.
However the Mushroom Ceviche and Grilled Barramundi were excellent meals and generous in portions.
Staff were very attentive and well informed of menu offerings
