Via Emilia 9
Via Emilia 9 in Miami Beach, Florida is the first of its kind in this city. A regional Italian restaurant, Via Emilia 9 only serves menu items that have actually been imported from Italy (flour, eggs, fruits and vegetables being the only exceptions for good reason). The pasta here is made fresh daily from these Italian ingredients. You can even partake in truffle tastings to help better inform your palette.
While there are a number of great entres to choose from at Via Emilia 9, the stewed veal cooked in milk definitely stands out. The veal with cooked ham and cheese is another favorite.
Buon cibo, ottimo servizio, un vero Italiano a Miami
Great burrata! Great food! Great time
The place is nice and food and service are good. But far too expensive! For 2 people, $ 92 for pasta and 1 glass of wine...hmm :-(
Git aber teuer
Cibo eccezionale, Valentina e Wendy sono squisiti e l’ambiente è molto intimo, che altro desiderare?
Wonderful as always! Absolutely authentic Cucina Emiliana. Eccellente! Grazie!
The food is always amazing! The four cheese gnocchi melts in your mouth and the lasagna bolognese is packed full of meat and delicious! The staff is very friendly and super helpful. Definitely the best Italian restaurant in Miami.
Il migliore ristorante di Miami, prezzi giusti considerando i prezzi generali della zona. Piadina favolosa! Consigliatissimo. Super simpatico il cameriere Daniele!
Great food and good service.
I visited the restaurant on a recommendation from an Italian friend. The food was outstanding and the service was also superb. I will certainly visit the restaurant again. Other dishes in the menu are very tempting. Prices are very affordable and desserts are delicious. The crew is very friendly and the restaurant has a very italian atmosphere. It is like eating in Italy.
Food was excellent and well worth the short walk from the beach.
Just incredible gourmet Italian that you cannot get anywhere else
Very nice restaurant, good Italians food and nice ambient.
Can not be compared to Salumeria,Sardinia or Fratelli di Buffala, nice italian restaurants in town.
The finest quality pasta available outside Italy!
Lovely people and wonderful neighborhood gem all on one! Love this place!
Valentina and her husband are wonderful, they both have a created a special place that is warm, comfortable that serves fantastic and delicious Italian food . A must for any occasion.
Excellent neighborhood regional Italian. Cozy and welcoming. Reasonable wines displayed on wall with prices and descriptions inside menu. Charcuterie platter great starter with Italian meats and cheeses plus a few surprises. Homemade pastas. This time we had the tagliatelle with fresh grilled artichokes and lemon. Known for their tortellini en brodo and Thursday seafood night. A local favorite with their own aging room for meats, cheeses and wines.
My name is Harlan and I have never been so disappointed in a restaurant in quite some time. I had made reservations but when I told them about my reservations they just smirked at me and sat me down by the employee bathrooms. My wife and I were celebrating an anniversary and the service was terrible. Prices are over priced for a small cup of wine was 10 dollars and we decided to just get gnocchi and two cups of water, and one soda. Once we finished eating we asked for the check and they just kept walking past us and it took them literally 25 min to get us the check. They got upset when we didnt order wine or any appetizers or dessert. We were treated unfairly while everyone else kept getting attended. We asked for a soda and it took them 15 min to get a can of soda worth 4 dollars. Its ridiculous. I'd dispute this transaction but I rather not. Its overpriced and bad service. Wont be going back again and will never reccomend this place to anyone I've tried better italian food.
Have been here about 6 times for dinner. The food has always been exceptional and the wine list is very reasonable. Service can swing from very attentive to not. When I booked the reservation, I indicated that it was a birthday dinner; and this event was totally ignored by the restaurant.
Great italian.... i have to say that Via Emilia is one of the top italian restaurants in the US... same level as some restautants in Boston and NYC
Loved this place as I always have! So consistent always.
I've lived here for 10 years and walked by Via Emilia so many times - I live just three blocks away! Shame on me for not stopping in sooner, but I was quite impressed. The three of us all loved our meals and I've been talking about it ever since!
Ristorante top. Pasta fatta in casa. Materie prime di prim’ordine. Personale cordiale. Calda accoglienza. Veramente valido!
Devo fare i complimenti a tutto lo staff di Via Emilia 9, dal personale di sala allo chef, veramente tutto perfetto, e la pasta fatta in casa, è eccezionale. È un punto di riferimento per la vera cucina italiana a Miami.
Delicious homemade pastas. Kind service. Tiny intimate restaurant with a lot of choices for diners. Artichoke pasta was very good!
this is one of those neighborhood gems that is really a 'must go' for anyone.
My wife Birthday and no one approached me and recognized my wife as her birthday. But the rest was very good like always.
Via Emilia 9 never fails to make us happy!!! We love the food, the service, the ambiance and especially sweet Valentina!!! Thank you for making us feel so welcome always.
Whole Branzino excellent!
Hostess was rude and seemed to be engaged
With only her regulars. We had a reservation and arrived on time. She sat
My wife and I at a table at very rear next to women’s toilet and the dirty laundry baskets. She kept telling us that she would not seat us anywhere else . She did however seat a regular party of two at a four top after we asked to move. She was with attitude the entire evening. We travel to Miami from ATLANTA to this restaurant often , but this was the worst ever.
Always great food and service!
At arrival and after having a reservation we were told that to seat us at the dining room we would have to leave in one hour because they had a large group coming....so, I wondered if they knew about the group , why accept the reservation?
That said, once that was sorted out we proceeded to our anniversary dinner which was spectacular !
Everything! very pleasant and professional service and superb food!!!!
Highly recommend it!
We have been to Via Emilia many times and always enjoy it. This past Saturday, perhaps it was too busy and service was hectic or too much for too few employees. Food delayed more than usual, bread seemed stale and I could not find the langoustines meat on my plate, other than the head placed for decoration. So, while previous experiences have been outstanding, the last one was not. Wine is always very good.
Food was fresh and delicious. Service was right on. I would recommend this neighborhood foodie spot, but I’d hate for it to become too popular! They are opening in MidTown Miami.
I really like the place and the food too, being Italian I loved the Prosciutto & Mozzarella di Bufala, then I had the and the Fazzoletti della Casa stuffed pasta, very good too and to end the lovely dessert Crema di Mascarpone Pavesini e Nutella, a real treat.
I would say only one thing, I came to celebrate a friend's birthday and it was noted in the reservation and nobody wished her Happy Birthday or anything, I even mentioned it to the waiter but nothing, that is not good, normally at other restaurants if you go and celebrate a birthday they wish you happy birthday, bring dessert with a little candle and even offer the dessert complimentary, it is really not expected but, it would be a nice gesture to your customers if you did it.
A friend recommended we go here while on vacation. The food did not disappoint! Delicious! Love the charm of this little place. The prosciutto and melon - amazing! You would think it is the same everywhere but it is not! This is totally worth going to next time you are in Miami. We will definitely be back every time we are here!
Valentina and her team do an amazing job. Very authentic Italian food. You will not be disappointed!
We were really excited to try Via Emilia 9 and chose it for a special occasion but the food was disappointing. The lasagna was an incredibly small portion and many of the rest of us chose the recommended bolognese sauce - it was really just ok. Lots of ground beef in an ok sauce. We expected something wonderful. : ( The ambiance and service were excellent.
It is a true Italian trattoria, exceptionally served by its owners and the food is heaven! The pasta, the steak, the raw, everything! Absolutely everything is delicious!
Waitress seemed very rushed. Got food very quickly before the bottle of wine. Food was average.
