The restaurant can seat up to 150 guests, all of whom will have full views of the iconic Hong Kong skyline and Victoria Harbour. With 360 degree views that wrap around the venue, Hutong has a maximum capacity of 200 persons standing.
The food here used to be spectacular, but it has gone done a lot in the last three years. It is still good, but not as good as it used to be. The main courses are quite bland and are nothing like North Chinese / Sichuan flavours. This used to be my favourite brunch in Hong Kong, but I am reassessing this after my last visit. What a shame.
Very nice harbor view and the food is quite good. But do not order the Dragon Tail.
The best Peking duck we have had and the the view.. wow you just have to experience it to believe it.
Thank you Hutong for making our special evening a memorable one.
Our connecting flight was cancelled at Hong Kong International airport and we had 6 hours free. We hoped on the airport train walked around downtown HK and then took the ferry to Kowloon. A Google search "restaurant Kowloon view of Hong Kong" came up with Hutong, a link to "OpenTable" provided a reservation and voila we were set for lunch. The construction made the entrance difficult to find but soon we were in the elevator to the 28th floor. Wow what a view. My wife had never been to HK before and this was amazing. Could lunch live up to the view? The lunch menu was perfect. The food was eclectic and delicious. The combination of elegantly presented and tasty food combined with a bottle of wine and soon our irritation at the flight cancellation was an unexpected gastronomic, cultural and visual delight. Thank you Hutong just what we needed prior to our rescheduled 15 hour flight.
Very disappointed with the food, and very expensive for what is was. Both the chicken and pork dishes ordered were dry with no flavour. The chilli chicken dish had so many chilli’s you couldn’t enjoy it. Hutong Hong Kong is nothing like Hutong London. There was no atmosphere, we hardly touched the food, finished our drinks and left.
Excellent experience enjoyed the food and the light show
Stunning view, food and service.
I will definitely come back.
The Brunch set menu was delicious and full of surprises. Great view and warm location.
Our favourite plate was the selection of dim sum.
Every weekend there’s a free workshop included...we received a free hand-painted vent.
It is noisy. Food is ok. Somewhat expensive due to the magnficent view on Hong Kong island. Service is regular. One of our orders did not arrive and was charged on the bill. Unfortunately I saw it too late.
Recommend as a nice option for Sunday brunch with great view
Attentive staff! Amazing view
The food is more than I have expected (from reading the reviews and comments from food blocker). Also, the food is more to Sichuan style with spiciness.
What a location! Perfect spot to watch the Symphony of Lights over Victoria Harbour - a great touch that Hutong plays the accompanying music to the light show. All staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly, professional and kind. The food was delicious, as were the cocktails. I would recommend this to anyone visiting Hong Kong. We went for our last night at the end of a week's holiday in the area, and it was the perfect conclusion to our holiday. Thank you, Hutong!
Great experience for good food and a great view of Hong Kong. Service was good and the staff kept filling our free flow champagne.
Perfect, everything was great
Outstanding ambience food service and view over the harbour
A nice place to take visitors to Hong Kong. I now know to reserve a window table when I make booking.
Everything is great.
Very quiet and relaxing place for lunc.
The decoration is beautiful, well arranged which is not very common in HK
The price of the set lunch is very attractive and allows us to come regularly.
The view is amazing.
The service is discreet and efficient.
The food is very tasty, even the deserts are great!
My favourite place at the moment!
Stale wine. Not friendly staff. Dirty windows. Very expensive.
Very punchy, but about as great a view as you’ll find in any restaurant in Hong Kong. For the prices, the food is a little underwhelming (doesn’t hold a candle to Ho Lee Fook or Monogamous) - still good, but you’re paying for the views and ambience more than to have your taste buds blown away. Whether this is worth it depends on whether view/ambience of flavour is more important. Unfortunately doesn’t deliver 5* on both.
The food was absolutely amazing! The decor is just out of this world. Walking out if the elevator into this fairy garden. A must go
Amazing food and views! It's a fancy restaurant for occasions but not for daily consumption! They have many seafood options, but we are allergic to seafood. I believe they taste good! The chairs i believe are more comfy for people over 5'6"!
My brother recommended Hutong and we thought it would be the best way to end our holiday in HKz The restaurant is stunning and the service the best we’ve had in HK. The views were breathtaking and an amazing venue to watch the light show. The food and wine was delicious and we will definitely try and visit Hutong in London.
Great experience. Prior visit was terrible so nice to come back and it either again.
Amazing food, amazing views, would love to come here again
Incredible views in an inspired setting. The staff were attentive and unintrusive. Had a delicious meal of Peking duck which I would highly recommend.
The food was fantastic and the service was excellent, although I did feel a little rushed. Having said that, the server did ask if we wanted to take a bit more time between courses. The view over the city was also wonderful.
Fantastic restaurant with great views and excetional Chinese quisine. Prices are on the high side but you wont be left hungry or dissapointed with the quality.
Best birthday dinner ever. Window seat for the laser light show at 8pm. Spectacular.
Food very yummy.
Service impeccable. The wait staff went out of their way to make my dinner special.
Finished off with a ‘Happy birthday plate’. Lovely.
Thank you Hutong.
Based on my experience I would not recommend. I found the waiting staff very intrusive; constantly pacing around our table to see if there were empty plates etc which was very off putting to say the least. It felt like we were being circled by vultures.
Absolutely outstanding food, view and ambience! Would return and make this a favorite every visit to Hong Kong.
Outstanding Ambiente, great and friendly staff, superb views on Hong Kong and savory dishes. Perfect place for business dinners and for dates. Not cheap, but worth it.
Great ambience and excellent views of HK Harbourfront. We managed to secure a window table and got “front row” views of Symphony of Lights (piped-in synchronous music from restaurant) which could have been better if not for the rain!
Dishes were great especially the beef short ribs and “fiery “ red dragon soft shell crabs
Service was ok and can be improved upon such as topping up of our tea ( instead of ourselves?!)
Amazing quality food and great ambience. Service was amazing
Very good restaurant, not too noisy, nice ambiance and nice view of Hongkong
Perfect venue for showing guests a Hong Kong view with excellent food and drink.
On any given night this restaurant is going to be a good choice. Some experiences are great and some are good, for us it was a very good experience with a solid selection of dishes, good wine and very attentive service.
