Doc B's Restaurant + Bar - Fort Lauderdale
First time going and I will def be back. The food was amazing, the service was even better, haven’t had an experience like that in a long time. Had the trout, best I ever had. The staff there were all so friendly and accommodating. Would love to see one open on Boca
Love this restaurant - we go every 10 days or so. Service is great! Manager even better !!
We originally planned on going to Doc B's the night before near Miami, but that didn't work out. The family still wanted to try it as a few of us are vegetarian. Since we were near Ft. Lauderdale on this day, we made reservations. We got there before the crowd came. The place did fill up. The staff, not just our waitress, was extremely friendly and welcoming. The food was very good and the waitress was able to make a few changes to our orders without question. My wife's meal was overlooked as she had ordered the same thing as my daughter. The manager was there in a heartbeat offering an appetizer for compensation. My wife waited less than five minutes for her food. I thought prices were a bit on the high side, but the food was good. Maybe the prices are average for the area. I'm not sure.
Found a gray hair in my food. I was disgusted. Won't be going back.
Original menu, well run establishment in a classy, casual urban atmosphere.
my first visit.. the food was amazing! the service was excellent! very attentive!
Wonderful service. Food was delicious!!
Great music a bit loud but food / ambience / service all great !
Great food and an excellent staff that treats you like family!! All food fresh and made from scratch!
The owner greeted our family as we walked in the door. He showed us to our table, interacting delightfully with our kiddos, and told us all about their food and specials. The staff were all very pleasant and knowledgeable. The food was absolutely wonderful. My husband had the short ribs and he was impressed, which doesn’t happen easily. I would strong suggest this restaurant for a date night or a family night.
This place is consistently great. Excellent food and great service. The staff is attentive and engaged. Clean silverware replaced without asking. Drinks refilled or replaced without asking. The manager is awesome and everyone is friendly and accommodating. Never disappointed and always satisfied. Try the short ribs if they have them on special. They are incredible! The best chicken wings I’ve had and amazing desserts as well.
Our waiter was great! Kale coleslaw one of my favorites.
Great spot for a simple dinner. And no corkage fee (don’t forget to tip extra)!!! Great overall experience. I had the prefixed menu (on a Saturday!) which was perfect.
We will be back.
Doc B’s is our go to neighborhood restaurant. We go at least a few times a month for dinner. The food is always good and consistent and the service is great and prices are reasonable. I highly recommend it.
Excellent restaurant with a vibrant bar scene conveniently located in North Federal Highway in Ft. Lauderdale. This establishment packs some serious punch in atmosphere, quality of service, and most importantly, food.
The service is right on point. The menu is extensive— there’s something for everyone here, and everything is fantastic. The Grilled California Artichokes, nicely seasoned with salt and pepper and served with remoulade are divine. The kitchen’s take on the Sesame Chicken Lettuce Wraps is excellent, with a unique preparation and presentation that will not only impress, but greatly satisfy you as well. And the fried boneless “Hot” Chicken, with its habanero-honey glaze, served with coleslaw, it's one of a kind that will leave you wondering why you haven’t been coming over to this place more often.
Excellent service and great food.
I truly enjoyed the food and drinks. My waiter was very professional.
Food was very hot amd fresh overall experience was amazing no complaints here
The Tres leches cake was amazing!! Wish I lived closer to have it again! I’ll be back!
Loved the service and the food was amazing. Everything was seasoned and tasted fresh.
I’ve definitely had better service here. Our waitress/ server was either in the weeds or new. She took very long with drinks etc. Our appetizers came after most got there dinner entrees. The server explanation was, the chef forgot about me. Never an apology. To make matters worse, everyones entree was cold. I felt beyond bad since dining here was my choice.
If I could give 4.5 stars I would. The food was very good. Two of us had the Idaho trout special. A wok bowl burgers and the ribs rounded out the entrees. Service was extremely attentive and the wind and cocktails was also great. Gotta love the large single ice sphere in the old-fashioned! The noise level for a 7:30 meal was a bit loud. Music could have been turned down some so you could hear conversation at the table without having to raise your voice.
We will be back!
We ate outside because the noise level was quite loud inside. The food was delish and the service both from the manager and the wait staff was A+. It was our first time there and we for sure will return. Thank you Doc B’s for everything!!
First time visit for a friend’s celebratory birthday. Which can go so many ways when trying a new restaurant. The staff made us feel welcome right out of the gate, even though we were a bit late for our reservation. The place was very energetic, so if your hard of hearing or looking for a quiet spot this would not be it. But, we had no problem conversing at a normal volume. The food was delicious and I can be a real princess about service and quality of my experience. I work hard for a living and do not go out to dinner as much as I would like. So when I do it had better be worth it. The menu is small but very diverse and it allows for consistent quality along with very fresh ingredients where you can really taste the flavors! We had a very nice meeting and chat with this lovely friend of the owner - who was making sure every customer got the full attention they deserved. The appetizer of fresh guacamole with a bit of “heat” blended in was paired with freshly made sweet potato chips which going forward I would prefer over tortilla chips. One of their house specialities is the Wok Bowl, which comes with different proteins, flavors and other options such a flat noodles, quinoa, or rice. Which my two friends at the table thoroughly enjoyed. I find as I am not a red meat eater the true test is a turkey burger, which can be over cooked, dry, and/or over or under seasoned. This was not the case I would have liked it to spend a minute less on the grill, but overall a tasty and delicious meal. They talked us into a desert with three spoons. The one special touch I liked was instead of raw nuts on the desert they were similar to the nuts that you get at fairs, but better they had a light almost invisible sugary coating. But, was perfect balance with the sweet treat. For Saturday night if your on a hot date a good, reasonably priced place, have a cocktail, wine, or beer, relax for a bit. Then enjoy a great meal. Great for friends, co workers.
Great drink specials!
Korean Spareribs entree was delicious, fantastic mashed potatoes.
Steak frites was over cooked and tough,
Brussels sprouts salad was fantastic.
Tacos were good
Christopher and his incredible staff made our trip to Doc B's extra special. The service is impeccable and the food is absolutely delishhhhhhhhh. Christine and Antonio are the best!! Christopher walks around and talks to all the tables. It is like a huge family in his dining room. That is what service is all about!! The only bad thing is, I dont get there often enough. We need one out in Davie. :)
Excellent Wok bowls
Always the best food & the best people! We have never been disappointed!
Great service and variety in food and drink menu. Excellent!
We went for Sunday brunch. We shared the salmon appetizer which was excellent. I had the French toast which I thoroughly enjoyed. My date had the filet mignon bowl. The meat was outstanding but she did not care for the rest of the ingredients. Our waiter was outstanding and the rest of the staff were very cordial. I would go back.
Brunch was the best
Service was amazing. Our server was so kind and attentive. He was constantly checking in on us and making sure we were ok. Food was great. Very flavorful and big portions. My only complaint was everything was overpriced, especially the drinks. Two drinks each, two entrees (one was a sandwich), one appetizer was about $160. Really liked it but don’t think we’d go back because of the prices. Drinks were way overpriced.
Staff was attentive & friendly. Food delicious! Can't wait to go back.
The best in town
Enjoyed our first time at Doc B's on Wednesday night. The service was outstanding! While the menu is a little limited, the food was really good. It was well-prepared and nicely presented, piping hot. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Doc B's is becoming one of our favorite places since we move to Fort Lauderdale in February. The food has been excellent and the service the same. The hot chicken, danish ribs and the turkey burger all have been outstanding. The key lime pie is probably one of the best that I have ever had. Thanks for an enjoyable evening.
The only thing I have to say is that the mimosas were kind of tiny. However we were greeted accordingly and enjoyed our time there. :)
Everything was great! Chris and Chris went above and beyond in service
Best experience. This is a local favorite.
