Asian
The food at Wild Ginger spans the Pacific Rim from China to Indonesia. We pride ourselves on offering traditional dishes from these distinctive regions and insist on house-made ingredients. Chefs make spicy chili sambals, fresh coconut milk, delicate egg noodles, and our pungent oyster sauce all from scratch. To achieve the sublime flavors of the East, there is no substitute for the time-honored customs of these rich and ancient cultures.

Just a great restaurant. First ate here in 2010, didn’t get back until 2018(we live on the east coast). We were worried it wouldn’t be as good as we remembered. No need to worry, it’s still terrific. Especially recommend the green beans and the chicken pot stickers, but everything we’ve tried has been good.

Hard to believe they are celebrating 30 years in Seattle. They have not lost a beat with their amazing variety of some of the best protein and sauce combinations. Best to share with a big group. Saute's are fabulous and make sure to get their lettuce cups. Sichuan green beans are a must as are Thai spring rolls.

I want to preface this with a compliment: food was delicious, kitchen nailed it. The rest is not positive. My boyfriend & I are experienced bartenders/servers ranging from dive bars to Zagat-winning 5 star establishments. We know what level of professionalism & service is expected across the entire spectrum. Wild Ginger's prices/wine menu reflect a slightly higher caliber. We had a 7:15pm reservation 2 top. Arrived & were told to wait (understandable if busy). We told the hostess we're fine to sit in the bar--she told us to wait while she checked if it was busy. I've never heard of a bar be on a wait--we waited, she returned & told us to wait for the table. My boyfriend walked over to see if any spots at the physical bar were open, which there were plenty (albeit dirty). She scoffed/rolled her eyes at us for walking to the bar giving attitude when we said "never mind" on the table. What she could have done was see spots were open at the bar & either 1) have a busser clean two seats or 2) taken away dirty glasses and wiped it down herself. Teamwork is what makes a restaurant successful. This is lacking. A female server cussed & cursed F-bombs our entire visit every time she came to the well because the bar was backed up on orders. Fine to do in private but even though I'm sitting at the bar I'm still dropping the same amount of money as those at a table. Shut your foul mouth when you're near guests! Organization, speed & efficiency of the bar were lacking. Dirty glassware was piled up next to the well (& our seats) & rarely removed. Everything you need to make your drinks should be in close proximity to the speed rail. Bartenders need to learn to prioritize & work smarter not harder. You can pour wine into glasses while a beer is filling up on draft. Prep & make 2 cocktails at once. Don't yell at me for the wine # because you forgot it. Wine presentation by Somm was Chili's caliber. Very disappointing for such great food! The kitchen deserves the tips not FOH.

Wild Ginger delivers a consistently positive experience. Food is prepared to perfection, decor is clean, modern, comfortable. Service was outstanding. Not too intrusive, and efficient. Wild Ginger is one of the best dining experiences possible in a city filled with outstanding culinary offerings.

Love this restaurant. Food is creative and continually good. Normally excellent service. This trip we had someone on 2nd shift and brand new. Should have been better trained when paying several hundred dollars for dinner.

this place a good for eating the food. I am very fond of gum boot chitons, but have never eaten one and most likely never will. tardigrades can survive most anywhere. thank you for allowing me to participate in this survey.

We visit Seattle every year and make the Wild Ginger one of our stops for dinner. The duck buns are an every year event as well. Everything on their menu is delicious and the service is excellent

The service in the bar was so so, then numerous minutes went by before a waiter, busboy or anyone came to our table once we were sat. It was not a busy night when we were there. Their duck was 5star, but a noodle dish was dry & it had little flavor, which by the time the waiter inquired we were 3/4 done with it. I only kept eating it because I was hungry after a full day of travel.

Food wasnt quite as spicy and complex as we remember from year's ago. Presentations were nice but not overly exciting. Obviously the "business casual'" recommendation (requirement) on the web site needs to be deleted. And I still want to know whatever happened to higher quality restaurants having tablecloths?

We always try and dine at the Wild Ginger when we come to Seattle for a show. Whether it is at Benaroya or The Triple Door, Wild Ginger is part of the plan.

As a single diner I was provided excellent service not only by my server, who was busy, but by the server @ adjoining table. Never had to ask for anything & timely with beverage refills. Food was excellent as I remembered from past visits. Already recommended Wild Ginger to others @ Amazon where I was working this past week. I am in the food business and Wild Ginger was a home run.

The interior is terrible, no ambiance and very stale. The food is marginal. This place has definitely jumped the shark. I visited 24 yrs ago when it first opened in the original location and it was spectacular. It’s very tired now and in the midst of so many great options in Seattle I won’t return.

Perfect experience. I had Lobster and Prawn Dumpling Soup and Green Curry, my date had Thai Passion Tofu. We shared these, as well as an order of Chicken Potstickers. We arrived early, and it was packed by the time we left, but we were lucky to get a seat along the windows of Third Avenue in the corner room. My date is going back tomorrow to have lunch with a friend, and I think she's going to order the Fragrant Duck. The Mango Palmer I had as my drink was very sweet, which is fine because I only had one. Expect it to taste very mango-ey, it is not an Arnold Palmer with a hint of mango.

We were a party of 10 including 3 children under 9. The spring rolls and potstickers were the best we have ever eaten! Every main course was excellent and the wine which was suggested was perfect.
Third Avenue neighborhood is a little dicey at night, but we navigated a walk through successfully.
We would return to Wild Ginger, downtown Seattle, when we are in town again!

I have never taken time to leave feedback before, but in case someone sees this, I am a very loyal customer to Wild Ginger. I live in Spokane, WA and my son lives in Seattle. My son is Vegan and Wild Ginger has a menu that is very accommodating to both Vegans and Non-Vegans. With all the restaurants in Seattle, I have found good Vegan ones and good Non-Vegan ones, but Wild Ginger is the best to accommodate both. I have been there many times and I am not even a Seattle resident. We also had my son's graduation party with 19 guests in one of their private rooms. Everything on the menu is delicious. I am not even a seafood fan, but their Sea Bass is amazing. Highly recommended and thanks for the great service.

Were seated and then ignored by our server for 20 min. Table next to us was so loud that we couldn’t carry on a conversation. Finally had to go to front desk to get moved to a place where we could talk in a normal voice.

We then had our usual good experience at Wild Ginger

Dismal experience on a Thursday night. We arrived 5 minutes early for a 7pm reservation, and were seated 20 minutes late, after other diners who had arrived after us. We brought this up with the unsympathetic hostess, who told us in an irritated tone that “Everyone here has a reservation.” After we were in the dining room, which had at least 10% empty tables, we expected the same good meal that we’d had in the past. Wrong. Out appetizer arrived 15 minutes after our main course, and was still cold in the center. We ordered grilled prawns and received breaded ones, which had an undercooked doughy coating. We felt like we had the B team last night, but we won’t be back to see if they can produce the same excellent experience that they use to provide. What happened? Very sad.

Awful service! They kept forgetting about us, despite the place not being packed so I had to flag down one of the staff to finally order something. I guess they were understaffed. Took 80 minutes from when we arrived to when we got our entrees, without any acknowledgement that things were taking a bit longer and that they hadn't forgotten about us. One of the workers asked if we wanted boxes for our appetizers because it looked like we had finished eating and were waiting to leave even though the entree hadn't arrived yet. Pad thai had tofu in it even though we asked for no tofu. Definitely won't come back!
