Pistache French Bistro
Prices are moderate and the recipes nutritionally healthy. Service is casual and efficient. The atmosphere is upbeat with a definite European flair. The interior is reminiscent of the Art Nouveau, which defined most brasseries and bistros opened in 1920"s Paris. It boasts cozy seating with numerous red leather banquettes, a full bar and giant antique mirrors. The restaurant has a feel of "Always been there". It is classic, retro-modern and sophisticated but unpretentious.
The outdoor patio overlooks Centennial Park, the Fountains and the Intracoastal Waterway. It is shaded with overhead awning and seats 30 people in a Riviera-like setting.
Got sick off the food. Low quality ingredients and preparation. Spent all night up with stomach pains after eating here.
Cocktails are mediocre as is the service. The waitress added a 20 percent tip for herself too. Probably would have come out similar but small annoyance to add to the much larger problems with this restaurant.
Too bad there is not a choice for I am not sure if I would recommend Pistache French Bistro to a friend or not? I do have to say that the food was very good and the waitress did tell us about a special before it had expired to take advantage of the special. But the service was a little lacking in the fact that I had to go find the waitress to get a few things. The biggest kicker of all that was when we received the check that the gratuity was already added to the bill and there was only 2 of us. I would understand this if it was a party of 6 or more but to add that on without any consent is just plain rude. So I would say that this person may have cheated themselves out of more than 20% gratuity.
The food was served and presented very nicely----my steak was about as good as I have ever had-----my wife's Salmon was also very good------
Our server was very friendly and when asked for something she came right back with it-----
Little pricey but you get what you pay for
Best Steak au prov in Palm Beach county. Special deal was great, buy one get one free.
We had the escargot (delicious), I had the Mahi special (delicious beyond words) and my wife had the steak tartar (not so good). Bread and butter also very good.
True bistro ambiance. Great salad, bread and dishes. The crème brulee was outstanding. Wish we lived closer to be able to come back more often
The food and service e were great, as they are every time. Only issue is the horrible seats. Should be better since everyone seems to stay for a while.
Food was well-prepared and presented artfully. Service was attentive. And the summer BOGO sure helped.
Service was slow though the restaurant was not particularly busy. My empty ice tea was never refilled. The veggie plate had a nice lentil salad though it was pretty salty. However, the mushroom on the plate was over-cooked with little flavor and the zucchini blossom tasted dry and as if it was reheated. The ratatouille was excellent so I’d wished there was more of that to enjoy.
Outstanding French onion soup. Service was good and the ambience gave a true bistro feel.
What a great find! My wife who is from Paris raved about the Torchon and I had never seen some of the Chateauneuf wines on any other wine list....anywhere! I would like to have tried the charcuterie offering that included French sausage and the pate but the Torchon won out. Next time!
Awesome food. Great service. Love it!
This restaurant never disappoints and always has great food great service and just an all around favorite place to go on a Saturday night or any night of the week really
We always go to Pistache for birthdays and anniversaries in addition of our regular dinners out. We were dissapointed with the quality/taste of both our steak frites and moules. Seems that for the off season or their BOGO offers they use a lower grade of meat or shortcut somehow on their usually amazing entrees. Spent $225 for four and got a free dessert as birthday gift. We can only hope things will change once the Summer is over!
We were seated on the patio, which we requested. It is located in the street and there was no music. The food was very nice as was the service.
One thing that was odd, they added 20% gratuity to the bill. I would understand this if we were a large party, but there was just 2 of us.
Great food and service. Very nice outside dining. We definitely recommend this restaurant for classic French cuisine.
Mussels with good wine....what could be better? The service was very attentive.
WOW! Fourth of July special was DELIGHTFUL(Brased Brisket with Bacon Beans and Fennel Slaw.. YUM)! Staff (Taylor) was super fun and helpful and this location is the Best for any kind of downtown/amphitheater event. We also saw the joy of others as they had amazing Filet and fish dishes! Would love to eat here REGULARLY!
Always a good experience!
Dined at Pistache many times , never disappointed .
Delicious food, excellent service, we’ll be back!
We celebrated our 11 year anniversary at Pistache and couldn’t have been happier with the food and experience! The charcuterie was the best we’ve ever had. We highly recommend the duck “ham” and manchego cheese. The zucchini blossom beignets were delicious as well. The filet au poivre was sooo yummy as was the lamb. Dessert was awesome and the ambience is always amazing. We love sitting outside and people watching. The experience was wonderful and Pistache continues to be our favorite restaurant.
This was a combined Anniversary/Birthday dinner and the food and service could not have been better. The is our special place for celebratory dinners.
Amazing food and a fun Casablanca night theme!!! I have the Mahi and loved it
The peppercorn sauce on the steak Au Pove was delicious!
Great meal. My wife’s Morrocan Meatballs were delicious. My Zucchini Soup was unexpectedly tasty. My Coq Au Vin was superb. The service as always was terrific.
Consistently good food in a great part of town. We always make sure to visit this restaurant when we are in town.
Food and staff were great
Great food. Lovely atmosphere. Wonderful service. The place to go for a special occasion.
Another great dinner at Pistache. Food and service both phenomenal! Every dish was excellent.
After seeing the great looking Raclette shown in Pistache's e-mail promotion, we went to Pistache for this special dinner, expecting what was shown the e-mail promotion with the Raclette cheese melting device to be on our table. However I feel that the promotion picture was misleading, as the Raclette cheese was melted/scraped in the kitchen and then brought to our table in little pans.
Notwithstanding the food was really good, and our waitress, Eva, was outstanding in making our dining experience the best possible.
Was much better than I remember . Yummy flavorful veggie platter. Friend loved his steak too.
Perfection couldn't fault a thing. Been here 50 times and will keep coming. You should also try PB Catch their sister restaurant on the lsland.
It was a terrible experience. The manager is extremely rude and unprofessional.
I have been to Pistache a few times before and not run into the problem we had on this visit - it was very loud. There was one table of 4 that was extremely loud. Another table asked them to quiet down, to no avail. At one point they left and we thought, YAY! It quieted down to a normal level of conversation. But a few min later they returned and so did the noise. Mgmt did nothing. We reported it on the way out. We were there to celebrate our anniversary so this made it a challenge.
The other point I'll make, OT asks if it's a special occasion. It was, which I noted in our reservation, but was not acknowledged at the restaurant.
The French Restaurant in Palm Beach County. I recommend it without hesitation or reservation.
Best experience I’ve had at a restaurant!!! This was the most amazing dining experience I’ve ever had and no I’m not on the payroll. We were quickly greeted and brought to our table. Kate was our waitress and she was such a delight. Definitely very knowledgeable about the food and wine pairing. Friendly and enthusiastic about the food she presented us. We started with the cheese and we picked 2 and Kate picked one and it was simple but delectable and Kate was on top of it and got more crustinis for us when she saw we were low. Didn’t even have to ask. We didn’t mind using the French bread that was on the table. It was soooo good! We had to control ourselves.
Also had the mussels that came in a wine sauce and the serving was huge enough for two people easily maybe even 3-4 if also ordering entrees. The mussels were exploding with freshness and were so meaty. Never had mussels that big TBH. Quite memorable. We were full after that and had to pass on entrees and got two more small plates. Escargot and salmon tartare I believe was the name. The salmon was a mix of smoked and raw salmon so the smoke wasn’t overbearing. It was served over a bed of avocado mousse and the cutest little potato chips on top. Inside and on the side were little bits of grapefruit that made for a party in my mouth. I would’ve never thought of putting that in there but it was perfect! Finished our meals with crepes for dessert and the pastry puffs that were covered with dark chocolate sauce. This was such a great experience already made plans to go back next weekend. Thank Kate, we will be looking for you next time. You were delightful and helped made our experience even more memorable. This should be a Michelin Star restaurant. I’ve been to some that tbh wasn’t as memorable as this restaurant.
Side note they have complimentary valet parking. This is nice because I almost parked at a meter in front of the restaurant and the meter said that car must be moved after two hours.
