Flea Street Cafe
Incredible as always! Love any chance to try the fresh, seasonal ingredients and unique menu! Thank you!
We arrived seven minutes before the reservation time. Despite having several tables plainly available the hostess insisted on having us stand (in front of the main door as the place is small) until our exact reservation time.
I don’t appreciate coming after a long tiring day at work to relax and enjoy a good meal to be told I have to stand till my precise reservation time. It was literally seven minutes too early, I don’t consider that a gracious welcome...
Outstanding food, attentive service, laid-back vibe, feels like a place that treats all patrons and staff with care and respect. Been here multiple times over the years and I'm always glad to go back.
Epic. Patio service tonight was perfection, soup to nuts.
Wish we could eat at Fleas Street every night. Always great, always fresh. One of our most favorite restaurants.
The food was outstanding. The service was great. The decor definitely needs a refresh. Kudos for being such a stalwart for such a long time. Have been dining here for ages and will go back for the delicious food.
Great food but disappointing selection for vegetarians.
This is a special place. Food prepared with care and creativity. All the touches that mark a great restaurant. Yet, a casual vibe and excellent service. Nothing else really like it in the South Bay.
Hadn't been to the restaurant in over 25 years so a totally new experience. Everything was delightful, just a bit pricey - not to say it wasn't worth it. Perhaps worthy of special occasions.
Another amazing dinner experience at this local gem of a restaurant! Thank you!
Our experience at Flea Street couldn’t have been more delightful- service, food and overall ambience! I had the Gnocci (sp?) and my husband had the salmon- both prepared beautifully and simply delicious. Our salads were superb- and our dessert was outstanding- will return as often as we’re able!
Flea St never disappoints! We had the heirloom salad with fresh peaches and heirloom tomatoes, fried green tomatoes, crispy sardines and short ribs. Everything was fresh, original and delicious. If you like cocktails, you should absolutely try the lavender lemon drop.
We dined here for my husbands birthday and couldn’t have been more impressed. Our food and experience were wonderful I highly recommend this restaurant.
Loved so many things about this place and can’t believe it took us so long to try it out. We will be back over and over for years and years to come!
We have been going to Flea Street for special occasions for more than 30 years. Over the last couple of years new executive chefs seemed to be moving things in a different direction - good, but very expensive and not what we were looking for. It was great to see that Flea Street is returning to its very reliable roots. I hope that it continues at this level for another 35 years.
Amazing food and intelligent service in a pleasant setting
The food is so good and they use fresh local ingredients
Well prepared food, always excellent. Service was unusually slow during this visit. Typically this is not the case. Corkage fee’s at $30.00 are high, while the wine list is good it is relatively limited.
Although it has been several years since our last visit, Flea Street delivered another excellent dining experience. My wife loved the mushroom soup and the Moroccan beans and rice. I had the strawberry and spinach salad with the Pacific Cod. Both were delicious and full of culinary surprises like the cheddar croutons in the salad and the foam added to the Asian inspired Pacific Cod. Service was excellent with silver and dishes swiftly whisked away and replaced for the next course. Now that we’re back in the area we will be back again soon.
Always great. Get the biscuit!
Food was very good as usual, we had the burrata salad, gnocchi and the veggie Mediterranean entree. Our friends had sea bass and also liked it.
It was a Saturday night and the restaurant was busy but service was spotty and very very slow. We had to get a different waitress to open the bottle of wine we had brought and she had to explain the specials etc. Desserts were so so, cheese cake, brownies and the custard tart. Bread took a long time coming as did our cocktails. Pricey .
Great food, relaxed but professional service.
Great and wonderful experience as always.
A pleasant evening
Well, maybe our expectations were too high... No matter how much strawberry jam you put on it, chicken liver pate doesn't compare to duck/goose liver. Risotto is not a good accompaniment for pork loin and short ribs should be much more flavorful than this. Wonderful to have local produce, but it is the end product that ultimately matters. We were disappointed.
Wait staff were very friendly and the food was amazing!
delicious food - all high quality and fresh - great cocktails too!
Excellent service and outstanding food.
Consistently serving delicious food.
Amazing! Such a great place to enjoy a special treat!
Great ambience but not good value for money.
Very limited options for vegeterian. In general limited choice.
Wonderful restaurant for a special event. Good food and ambiance.
The food and service are amazing. We love this place.
Flea Street is our very favorite restaurant for birthdays and anniversaries. The food is amazing and the service is outstanding and friendly.
The bang for the buck is lacking. I am not a uberrich guy so I value shop. I found the prices for wine particularly excessive. Good quality however, Nice place but not a value.
The food is always fresh and delicious. The atmosphere is festive in the bar area; the formal dining rooms are quieter. This restaurant works nicely for any occasion, except maybe larger groups (like 6+). The menu changes every few months. Sometimes they have food or beverages not listed on the menu that are available if requested.
One of our favorite places. Never disappoints.
Excellent food, drinks and service and dining experience. Intimate setting with cozy environment, good lighting and a versatile, engaging staff. Excellent.
