What Insiders Are Saying
One of the original rooftop bars in DTLA, Perch has a French-leaning menu and views for days. Put it on your list for your next downtown date.
The music, the people, the food, the views, nothing but good vibes. I highly recommend the truffle fries or get the steak frites that come with it! It literally melts in your mouth. Make your reservations and they’ll seat you ASAP! Honestly such an amazing experience. Valet is $13. The elevator to go up is kinda weird but there are people to guide you. But it was a great place!
Our server, Nestor, was excellent as was our meal, French onion soup, baked brie, steak frites (maybe next time I'll opt out of the truffle, a bit heavy), and white chocolate bread pudding (delicious) for desert. I couldn't access the valet app to call for the car before we returned to valet stand. Atmosphere, hostesses, manager, staff, meal, presentation and timing... great. May also want to have a long sleeve option at night even with heat lamps accessible (just an FYI).
Looking forward to our return.
Thank you "Nes".
Absolutely loved the view at the rooftop bar. Lady in Pink I think was our cocktail and that was really good. We made reservations for 8pm but didn’t get seated until 830pm. Server had great energy and was very friendly. The baked brie was so good. Nice portion to share with a friend. Truffle cheese fries was a bit to gooey for me so I had to use my fork. Gnocchi with pesto was a bit bland. Wanted a little more pesto taste. Got it work the shrimp so that was a nice touch. Didn’t get dessert at the restaurant because the food market was just down the street. Overall I loved the location and service. Food was okay.
The food was terrible! We’ve eaten here many times and this was a huge disappointment. My husband flat out didn’t eat. We ordered several fish dishes and he felt it was not fresh or cooked properly. It was for his bday so was a real disappointment. And very expensive especially since we walked away hungry!!
Location and view was amazing. Service could have been better. Food wasn’t as good as one would think for such an interesting venue.
Everything was perfect except the server lian The most raicist person ever
Amazing food and service. Manager was super nice and accommodating
Food is always delicious. Service is always awesome everyone is friendly.
Love the place! Food was amazing, and the service was awesome.
We were a party of 7 and asked for a 2nd basket of their delicious bread. When the check came they charged us for the 2nd basket. We complained to the management telling them that this is so petty and they took off the extra charge for bread and gave us desserts on the house. The Perch is a 1st class operation they are very accomadating. That is why this is my go to restaurant when I'm dining DTLA.
We were pretty disappointed with our server considering she took an unusual amount of time bringing us drinks and checking in with us, as well as forgetting our bread, and giving us the wrong check. All the other staff members were efficient and helpful so the contrast was bothersome.
We always an epic time at Pearl. Marcus, Thomas and the entire staff were excellent. See you next time!
As always the view is beautiful and the food is so good! Our waitress made sure we were well taken care of and even went above and beyond to help us celebrate my friends engagement. ❤️
Great place! The only thing is I sat in the sun. The umbrella didnt fully cover my back and i got sunburned.
Came to Perch with friends to celebrate a birthday. The service was great, the food was delicious, and the overall vibe was pretty chill. Would definitely recommend the #13 Benedict, the ah-mazing French toast, and the sangria.
Brunch with champagne, oysters, French toast, bacon, eggs and an amazing view is all you need. Waiter was spectacular as well!
Awesome! One of my favorite brunch places
I love this place but the food always seems to come out lukewarm!
Happy Loyal Customer
We celebrated our engagement at Perch and they could not have been happier for us. David was our host and was amazing! Thank you guys for making out celebration memorable and fun.
Great menu, but prepared to eat brunch. Wish they had a few more shared options. Overall, a great reason to hang downtown. We went to The Broad Museum and then Grand Central Market. Cheers.
Took my best friend here for a Belated Birthday Brunch. Had a wonderful time. Our server and food was amazing. Will be back!
Server was grumpy.
Service was awesome
We asked for a specific type of whiskey and the wait didn’t know if they carried it. He said he would check and I believe he forgot because he didn’t mention it again, whether they carried it or not. After ordering, our waiter rarely came around. I had to get his attention to ask for the check. While we were leaving, the line to get to the rooftop bar blocked our exit. It’s a good place to try but a second round isn’t worth it.
Nice and romantic ambiance. Good for date night or anniversary celebration.
For the Cash I have several other preferences. Awesome view
Love EVERYTHING about this venue. ❤️ The food, atmosphere and cocktails are all top notch. One of my favorite spots in LA.
Our server Tyler was great! Food and setting always wonderful.
A fantastic spot; highly recommend it! It was a wonderful evening.
We came here for my birthday and also celebrated our engagement and were treated so kindly and made to feel incredibly celebrated on such a special day.
I loved being here. The environment was lively and the service was amazing, food was great! The view was unmatched to anything I've seen... the best place to be for a good, casual time
The restaurant and the view are quite nice. I think the food quality is ok. The French onion soup was very bland. The gnocchi was ok as well. We expected 5 star food but it was more like 3 stars at best. Maybe it was an off night in the kitchen. I would come back for drinks definitely. The view was amazing!
Our server Malia was great. She was very attentive and knowledgeable. First time visiting this place and will definitely return back next time I'm in LA. The steak frites dish was delicious. The penicillin cocktail and midnight Paris was very good. The steak shrimp skewers appetizer was awesome.
Had a great time, food was great but it was loud and we were very close to the people next to us.
A little cool sitting outdoors when the roof cover is folded back, but a good place to sit if you dress warm. Cocktails and wine list are good. Service is a bit slow if you are attending an event after dinner. Food was creative and tasty. Salmon done just right. Octopus was some of the best I've tasted - tender and flavorful.
The ambience was great the location and view was phenomenal. Would come back once more! The steak and fries were delicious and the drinks were also great!
My seating arrangement was what made my whole experience horrible. I could literally bump elbows with the person next to me... no other table was that close to anyone else. It was my anniversary night, and I completely did not feel like it was worth my money, or the hour drive to get there. Our food was also sent to the wrong table, so we decided to cancel some food because of improper management if our order. I probably wouldn’t come again... too expensive for the experience I was given.
This place was wonderful! We got an awesome table, with a great view.. the band on Mondays was awesome. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars all across, is the drink options are very limited, and their options are just ok.. Also, the after hours DJ was so boring and severely lacking. Everything else was amazing!
Visited at least ten times...always a good time, reservations are HIGHLY recommended. The rooftop bar is very nice, sometimes hard to find a seat, but definitely has one of the better views in DTLA... in my opinion, better than The Standard and Takama Sushi, but not better than the Wilshire Grand...that's on a class of its own.
