Absolutely lovely! Completely different vibe than Vegas and LA. Same great menu, same great flavors! Good drinks (Aperol Spritz needs a bigger glass). Special shout out to the beautiful Patty. Though all the service was very good, Patty (from the ladies room), took the extra time to chat, introduce herself (the only one to do so) and just be so very kind. I would put this very special lady right up front. She’s what great service is all about. Thank you all for a great evening.

Atmosphere was great. I would recommend Catch as a trendy place to be, but not for food lovers. Food was not bad at all, but not great, especially for price

Amazing birthday dinner with friends! They seated us outside on the roof area per our request even though they said normally they can't accommodate parties with more than 5 people outside. Our waiter Kevin was fantastic - efficient, nice, gave great recommendations, brought us an extra shrimp dish he wanted us to try even though we didn't order it. Desserts were perfect for a birthday celebration - got the donut ferris wheel and hit me Klondike cake - both perfect for sharing. Cocktails were good, although overpriced in my opinion. Kevin brought club/lounge manager Preston over at end of meal who gave us stamps so we could stay and hang out, and brought us a round of shots to celebrate. While the bill was expensive, it was an overall great and fun birthday dinner experience and all my friends had the best time!!! Highly recommend.

great all around. waiter could’ve been a little more well versed in understanding allergies. one person from our party was allergic to soy. he proceed by asking if she can have soy sauce and gluten (?). didn’t seem like he really understood the allergy.

Food was so-so. Presentation was nice. Service was not good for a place of this caliber. Many busboys, but more interested in bantering with each other. Hard to get their attention. Felt rushed; just started on dessert and was presented the check. The to-go bag was damped and used. Very low-end diner feel from this aspect. Unsure if i would recommend nor go back again. Sexy ambience but the above left a poor taste in experience.

Food was great, bit of an issue with the server seeming inexperienced and having difficulty dealing with a person in our group who was allergic to peanuts. Other than that, good experience with the vibe of the place and reasonable wait times for food.

Food came out too slow but was delicious. Portions are really small especially since they are sharing plates. It is really loud and tables are really wide makes it hard to talk to anyone except your neighbor. That said it is a very cool interior and a fun atmosphere.

This is a very trendy restaurant. It was absolutely packed on a thursday night. The service staff could not be beat. Marcus was absolutely amazing and we couldn't have been happier with him.
We had delicious food including a sushi roll, chicken bao buns, sweet potato gnocchi, wild black rice, lobster mac and cheese. My only negative feedback is that for me, there was too much butter in the lobster mac and cheese. We had two excellent desserts.

We had to wait twenty minutes to be seated despite having a reservation, the hostess saw that the whole party was present, said it would be only a moment, then said we would get a text which we never received (after confirming the phone number). I finally went to ask what was taking so long, there was a another hostess who blankly told me our table was ready when it was not, then another told me they were waiting for the rest of my party to arrive...! So stupid, and yet another hostess (sorority at the front desk - they should get some men up front to even out the ridiculousness level) seated us after blithely stating that there was nothing they could do about what happened, which is probably the last thing you should say to someone you are trying to appease (I made no scene at all - just plainly told her that what happened was bizarre). The waitress for the accompanying table demanded (in an extremely off-putting way) that I move my handbag from the chair next to mine when no one was seated there. I just put it back after I realized she wasn’t seating anyone. Our waiter did not even come to the table for twenty minutes, never apologized, inexplicably screwed up the salad order, then asked if we wanted the correct salad (yes, but I wanted the wrong salad removed from the bill, which he agreed to), proceeded to grab (without asking) the salad they had brought by mistake (I told him to leave it since it was practically finished anyway), then handed us a bill with both salads, and finally had the nerve to argue with me when I reminded him! Then the ignorant b*tch who confronted me for no reason about my bag LOUDLY discussed the tip with the couple next to us, which was condescending and not at all her place. She was calling them “kids” and a few other nicknames during their meal, which we all found quite strange. Their staff needs a real wake up call - no sophistication or respect. Last visit ever.

Apps came out very fast, felt like there was a production line in the kitchen or that they want to turn tables over very quickly.

Food is overpriced... it’s more style over substance.
Would only go back for drinks and apps as the atmosphere is still very good and energetic.

But a still a good choice if you want to take out-of-towners to something that is “NYish” or fast paced like the city.

I was not expecting the food to be mediocre, the lobster Mac and cheese and spicy tuna sushi was delicious, but there was barely any lobster in the Mac and cheese . Also my boyfriend, and I had lobster mashed potato that was not so good.

Myself and three friends arrived early for our dinner reservation and opted to be sat on the rooftop. The restaurant was for the most part empty on a Sunday as are most restaurants in that area. We were told we could grab a drink and wait on the terrace, then told we could not sit where we were seated on the terrace despite the area not having been bussed nor ready for seating. The hostess appeared rushed and had a very abrupt manner even though there weren’t many patrons. I would say she was anything but friendly to my party. She let us know our table was ready and once we were seated said “just to let you know I will need this table in two hours.” It was not the time restraint it was the manner in which it was expressed and furthermore she had not greeted any other table she seated with this disclaimer. Needless to say I called Philippe Downtown around the corner and they were able to accommodate us and provide great service from the start!

I would highly recommend Catch NYC. Especially the restaurant week brunch menu. The food was all exceptional. Amazing flavors and all very well cooked with barely any wait between dishes. The timeliness was great and the taste was just phenomenal. We started with the salmon carpaccio and açaí bowl and the flavors were all very well done. The açaí bowl was as expected light, refreshing, and sweet. The salmon carpaccio was good quality and came with a sweet soy sauce and some salad that perfectly complemented the salmon. For the entrees, we had the grilled salmon with kabayaki butter and the croque madame. They were both great. The kabayaki butter was similar to a more elegant teriyaki sauce with hints of wasabi and truffle. The croque madam was tasty but a bit heavy with a generous amount of gruyere on the toast. For dessert, we had the cookies and vanilla Oreo banana pudding. The cookies were great: lemon sugar, chocolate chip, peanut butter. However, I LOVED the vanilla Oreo banana pudding. The sweetness of the ripened banana was just perfect. Very naturally sweet but not overbearing in anyway and the blend of berries that was used made it all the more enjoyable. Overall, I would rate the food and price a 5/5. The only disappointing part of our experience was the seating. We had made reservations at 1:30 and when we arrived, were told to wait by the bar until they texted us. However, they forgot to call us back until I reminded them at 1:55, at which point they seated us right away with an open table that had been available since we arrived.

Restaurant week lunch was a very limited menu. I ordered the mani mahi from the regular Sunday menu. It was served with a vegetable dish which was interesting. The fish was prepared well but was on the expensive side. The waiter had taken my order and never came back at all. The fish was dropped off by a server and I never saw the waiter. When done and waiting for a while, I called for the check. You get better service at a diner. The place was bustling and noisy at that. Some of the menu dishes looked interesting but I felt the place was a hype. I would much rather go to a classier upscale restaurant such as Boulud, Milos or Palmer where excellence is always the key. The place was convenient to the Whitney.

Made a Sunday brunch reservation for me and my mom. Requested to sit outside and was accommodated. Lovely ambiance (“boujee” vibe) - shaded tables, comfy seating, contemporary alternative music playing. Delicious cocktails. The two of us split salmon carpaccio, lobster avocado roll, avocado toast, and crispy potato hash. Each dish was better than the last.

Only complaint is that the hostesses and wait staff seemed rather dismissive. But I assume that’s due to the popularity of the restaurant and sheer number of people (without a reservation) who clamor around the hostess stand in the hopes of securing a table during peak hours.

Too many great choices on the menu to not come back again and again!

Ugh so overrated and incredibly underwhelming.

Made a reservation via open table for a 9:30pm dinner for a party of 6 , called day of to confirm and to ask about outdoor seating in which the hostess said it's pretty much first come first serve. We arrive for our reservation on time to find out that the roof wasn't open.. ok no big deal.

Then we're told there's a slight wait and that we could buy drinks from the bar on the main floor or the bar one floor up.

Bar review: great staff, good service. Even watching the service bartender was fun. However... I ordered sparkling rosé and it was flat. All of their cocktails are pre batched which means all filler minimum alcohol. My friends tried the lush lemonade that was incredibly sweet no one could enjoy more than one. And the Mexican drink with mezcal which was fine.

After all this time has passed and we had been given the run around from the not so helpful hosts that seemed to find the situation hilarious for ONE HOUR & SIXTEEN minutes I demanded to speak to a manager. I pretty much told her I didn't want to hear any more apologies and that action needed to be taken. Her response was "the restaurant ya behind because of a private party from earlier" ... so when I called the first time hours AHEAD of my reservation why wasn't I told that?? When I called the second time about thirty minutes before my reservation why wasn't I made aware??

Long story short I'll never go back again, the free $28 salmon and terrible $1 ginger shots were NOT WORTH THE WAIT.

We ended up sitting at the table for less time than we waited for it in the first place, the food came out fast but wasn't anything spectacular.

I'll never go back again
