What Insiders Are Saying
It doesn’t get much better than having a Spanish brunch on Terra Plata’s rooftop garden in Capitol Hill. We like it for Monday night paella too.
Great food but our server was terrible. Food never came together. How’s is that service worthy of such a good restaurant. I think servers get complacent due to the included 20 percent gratuity. They’ve lost all incentive for customer care.
Love Terra Plata! My family has a couple specific food allergies and this is one of our favorite options for Gluten Free in Seattle. The food is delicious. Service was good (we had one app that was forgotten but when we mentioned it the server immediately brought us one of their manchego biscuits to enjoy while we waited — nice touch!).
Poor service and overpriced food. Would not recommend.
The level of service and quality of food is always unmatched. Fantastic place to go for a casual glass of wine or to celebrate a special occasion. Linda, Tamra and their team made today extremely special.
We are so happy that Open Table suggested this restaurant when I was searching for a brunch spot! Being up on the roof, surrounded by flowers and herbs, well, I couldn’t think of a more pleasant and relaxing way and place to enjoy a meal. The food was not only delicious, but beautifully and thoughtfully presented. The Chimichuri sauce was fabulous, and we all wanted the recipe for the apricot breakfast coffee cake. Thank you for a delicious meal, and an experience that fed the soul.
Was my first time dining here with a friend visiting from Canada -- we had such a great time sitting out on the upstairs patio, and the food was amazing!!! Everyone was so friendly, and we had such a fabulous time enjoying the summer evening. I can't wait to go back!!!!
Amazing space & food!
We are vegetarians. The food we had was full of flavour and honestly bit was the best food we had in Seattle for years!
It was my girlfriends birthday and they made her feel so special. Great ambiance, good food, it was a wonderful date.
It was the the best birthday celebration!!!
Seated on the rooftop. Amazing vibe and atmosphere. Highly recommended.
Has excellent service, food was great. We were seated promptly and paella was delivered to table within about 15 minutes of ordering. We accidentally left an item at the table and the restaurant called within minutes.
Overall it was a lovely experience. The food was solid and the server was attentive but not overbearing. However, I would have much rather spent $160.00 at a different restaurant or one with a fine dining experience. Terra plata is a casual tapas spot- great for summer!
The mussels are amazing. We could have eaten these all evening long since these were so delicious. That is not to say that the heirloom tomatoes, roast pork, and salmon were not. But, did I say the mussels were absolutely amazing? Go for the mussels and try everything else. And the wine selection is pretty great as well.
Very expensive but a great treat!
Great service, but brunch not as exceptional as dinner at terra plata
The food was better than I ever remember. Each dish was really tasty and the portion size was perfect. We were going to theatre afterwards and were a bit crunched for time. Our waiter totally took care of us and made sure that we even had time for dessert.
The food was outstanding. This was my second visit to Terra Plata and this time I took a large group from out-of-town. They loved it!
A little mix up at the host stand made seating on time awkward. But overall a great place, absolutely beautiful rooftop and the food is delicious. Fabulous wine list.
The menu had Happy birthday to my wife printed on the menu.
Food was fabulous, the rooftop dining was outstanding on a lovely warm day. Great experience overall. Will return! In close walking distance to the Paramount theatre, too!
Food was bad. They have paella with fried rice, 4 shrimps(for two) and a loot of mussels. Wait time was about an hour
Usually I don't complain about service, but in this case being willfully ignored more than once became irritating. The food was good, but not great. The chairs were hard, the dishes rushed, the ambiance not so great.
The waiter snapped after we asked for bread over the course of 2 hours 3 times and he never brought it and said “ I can only do so many things at once”
Wonderful brunch on the roof on a sunny Saturday morning is the best. Great food, great service. Limited brunch menu. Perfect way to begin the weekend.
Food was definitely overpriced for what you get, my crepes were charred & almost yummy in texture. The steak was chewy and flavorless, all around way too overpriced for “earth to table” eating with no flavor.
Though we've had good experiences before, this time the service as really terrible. Drinks forgotten, entrees forgotten, long waits, no apologies, hair in the risotto (lots of hair). Expensive and disappointing.
Love the outdoors rooftop!
The front desk service is very unprofessional. We were greeted if we can get done eating at a certain time like (An hour & half time frame already specified at open-table) before we get seated. That’s a big “No” as a customer I don’t want to repeat w/this type of service.
The roasted pig is amazing. The roof is an oasis in the city.
Pasta was nasty overcooked and watery. Chair was so uncomfortable. Service was great
Everything delish, even sat near a famous athlete
The food and drinks were wonderful (we went for a birthday brunch on the patio), however the shared appetizer came out after my friend’s breakfast, and then both of my friends were completely done eating their meals before I even received mine. It also took about 15 minutes to receive the check after we asked for it.
We’ll likely return for the delicious food but I doubt we’ll order appetizers or go if we have something else scheduled afterwards.
The food does not taste any special but it is expensive.
Food was amazing, the Chef was on the roof grilling some amazing items. We had a great time, and had amazing service. Highly recommended roof top experience!
We've been to Terra Plata a number of times over the years both for date nights, with friends and hosting a client dinner. The venue is fantastic and the food good. Few thoughts.. the wine and beer selection is great, however I'd love to see a better and more consistently good cocktail list (compared to many other places we dine such as Rock Creek, Stoneburner, Matt's, etc.). Food is worth asking for specifics on as some things are great and good value (Carrots, Pig, Fish, on a recent trip), while other things nor so much (Summer squash gazpacho was okay, but not worth $14, and the prawns with roe eyes beautiful but impossible to eat).
great atmosphere, especially on the roof deck during the day, however the brunch food was not very good at all. prices were OK but you can get much better food for the same price in seattle. i'd suggest coming up here for drinks and snacks, not a meal.
