We went for their Prix Fixe Summer Menu and everything was delectable. Their Street Corn Caesar Salad is fantastic. I’m not much of a salad person, but I can honestly say I crave this salad. Hubs had the prime rib which he said was delicious . I had the filet which was cooked perfectly medium rare. Service was excellent. We both had a glass of the Austin Hope Cab which we loved.
The only issue that prevented a rating of 5 stars across the board is that the noise level is way too loud--almost deafening--and we were there early! While the food is pricey the quality is excellent and the portions are very fair. Service also was excellent by an attentive and knowledgeable waitperson. If 1000 North can figure out a way to deal with the noise level, continue the food quality, portion size and service they will become one of our "go to" restaurants even though it is almost 30 miles from our home.
We are so pleased to have found such a lovely spot near home where the staff is so on top of things and also know just how to make every visit easy and special for my mother who suffers from Alzheimer’s. Thank you.
Food & service were both fantastic
Dishes were creative & delicious
Server was very attentive
Went for the special. Appetizer and entree for 47$ Wife had a great salad and perfectly cooked filet with delish creamy mashed potatoes. I had the prawn appetizer and prime rib. Prawns were great served on a bed of ice with two dipping sauces. The prime rib was unfortunately very fatty with one quarter of the prime rib inedible. Service was spot on. Shout out to Vinny who was outstanding as our server.
Everything about our experience was wonderful. The staff from valet to waiters were very professional, friendly, and kind. The food was delicious! They took care of us very well. Can’t wait to go back. The view was beautiful.
Overall the food was great. Service lacked considerably, like she was going through the motions. Had to ask for water and bread 2 times. Lots of activity by the mAnagers around, very distracting.
At one point I had to ask the server who a man was , Ira. She said he was one of the owners. He was very distracting, hovering g over my wife’s watch, disrupting the staff and the customers. If he is the owner he needs to get out of the way and let his team manage the business. Seemed more of a disrupted than an executor.
Great place and location is amazing. It’s very noisy inside though?
Very pricey vs other restaurants with similar food and ambiance in the area.
This was our second visit to the Sunday Brunch, thanks to Rachel, who excels at her job so far beyond what one typically finds in a server. We will return again, and just want you know what a special employee you have in Rachel! And I’m sorry we didn’t get the names of the two gentlemen who were assisting her on Sunday but they too were great!
Everything about our experience was wonderful. From the staff to the food, everything was perfect.
Overall it was a great dining experience. The ambiance was great as was the service. The food was beautifully presented and was generally excellent. The crab cake dish was overwhelmed with black eyed peas that was somewhat of a downer, otherwise it would have been a 5 star experience. The dining room was also noisy, a feature in many restaurants that I will never find attractive. On a cooler night, the outside dining would have been nice and quieter.
Food was decent, but always seems a little overpriced. Service was just off though. Disappearing waiter and overall slow service.
The food was wonderful
First time dining for Brunch. Entirely too much food. For starters there were donuts . Crepe filled. Brunch portions were HUGE . Even avocado toast which is generally for a light eater The toast was so large it was fit for the jolly green giant. The portions were enormous to the point they were unappetizing and they were served with overwhelmingly huge sides that were in effect meals unto themselves. All I believe to justify the enormous price. $100 without drinks for an omelet and avocado toast.
I guess this restaurant suffers from over inflated reviews, leading to over inflated expectations. The food was good, but I have had just as good food elsewhere for cheaper, the service was good, but not exceptional. Drinks were good, but overpriced. The restaurant was noisy, but the decor was nice. I cant say anything was BAD, just not what I expected,, I suppose I was expecting a lot more based on its reputation. What I got was a perfectly nice restaurant with over inflated prices. I would not dissuade anyone from going, but I would not say this is the best restaurant I have been to in the local area.
Way to noisy to enjoy a conversation, would not recommend for special occasion
Attentive service and perfectly cooked food will be the reason we'll return!
Amazing I will recommend it to any of my friends or family members
Beautiful place. Lovely evening
59th anniversary celebration was awesome!!!
Good Service, excellent food and wine
We drive from Aventura to eat at this restaurant as often as we possibly can (1 hour drive) we enjoy everything about it.
BUT, The new chocolate soufflé dessert in my opinion is not good at all!! they need to figure it out and change it for something else... The key lime is also a little too tart..
Nice location and great food. The service was top notch. Lobster Benedict had a nice presentation and avocado toast was crunchy. Brioche donuts added a nice little touch. Mango habanero bloody was really good with a very noticeable kick! Our server Lauren had a great personality. Overall a great brunch experience.
The service was really good. The food is good but a little costly. Overall we would return to eat again.
I would definitely return. I thought the varied choices of appetizers and entrees were excellent. Our server was great, however, one of my pet peeves is that I feel that the food runners should serve each patron their correct appetizer or entree. For both courses, the food runners put the incorrect entree in front of each guest. This is a training issue. If you are trying to be an upscale restaurant....this is a flagrant flaw in the service. I hope you will retrain your food runners .
Really nice evening. Started with a tuna poke app we split, some of the best I have had! Also shared a Ceasar salad with cornbread croutons, unique and flavorful. Then we shared a Halibut in parchment which was the daily special, simply phenomenal. The only drawback is cost... you get what you pay for but this was plenty of food. That being said if we both ordered an app, salad and entrée, this would have been a $300 meal instead it was $160 which was fine. Beautiful atmosphere and great food.
Our server hilda is always wonderful, makes some great suggestions, Sean Patrick is a jewel, always stops by for a chat and most pleasant, a true asset. Of course your chef is doing a superb job, love the food ALWAYS, THE TASTES AND BLENDS OF FOOD IS PRICELESS!
The food is pricey but you get what you pay for. The lamb was as good as I've ever had. My friend's Delmonico was excellent. Lobster risotto not the best but the fresh shucked oysters in the watermon mignonette sauce was out of this world. We order it everytime we come here. Service is great. You do have to put up with a high noise level which makes conversation difficult.
Tracy was an amazing in guiding us through our first experience at 1000 North. We will go back!
Dinner was very good, service was excellent. Ambiance is not great and the noise level is above average. All in all, though, it was good.
Our fish meals were
Over cooked and tasteless sorry
Great food and ambiance. Very accommodating. Would highly recommend!
Good food and service. Expensive but worth it.
Everything was delightful!!! Love that we have this gem in our town.
This restaurant has outstanding food and service. My wife and grown son had a fabulous dinner of NY Strip, Dover Sole and oysters. The noise level though was so bad, we can’t believe they haven’t addressed the problem. We will return, but will probably sit outside.
Very high quality services. Food is very good. However, I have had just as good or better locally at a better price. Can't beat the scenery. It seems that a lot of noise equals ambiance. I think a lot of noise is a lot of noise and 1000 North was a bit too loud. I wouldn't let decibels stop me from trying 1000 North.
Overall, great place to eat and be with friends if you don't mind a loud environment, be you in the bar or restaurant. Food was good, although the wife appears to have suffered digestive issues throughout the night from scallops that may have been undercooked? (Another person in our party mentioned it after we ate). Service was great, we had a reservation so no problem getting seated. I won't eat here often, as it is expensive, but will come back for special occasions etc.
Brought our son there for his Birthday, a little disappointed that we were seated next to bar and not in main dining room. Food was extraordinary and service was good, very pleased with the Birthday dessert presented to my son which was a piece of art. Think they should tell customers or give customer warning that they will be seated at bar when you make reservation.
Our waiter was fantastic. The service was A+ from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. It was in the expensive side but the meal was wonderful
Food is good. The wait staff is friendly. And the location is very good on the water. But it is very loud. And the prices are much too high for what you received.
