I love The Star since it opened. I rented in NE Portland for years and was within walking distance. Now that I’ve moved to Happy Valley, I dont get there that often. Went last night for my wife’s birthday. The pizza and drinks are perfect. Great ambiance, and the waitstaff was great as always. The longtime staff has always given A+ service.

Shalom Y'all is an exploration and celebration of the Levant. We combines flavors and dishes from the Eastern Mediterranean, North Africa, and the Middle East with the produce and proteins of the Pacific Northwest to produce a phenomenal menu. Some standout items include the grilled lamb chops in Greek vinaigrette, the Baharat spiced chicken kebab served over mejadara, and our silky hummus served with fresh baked pita.

Shalom Y'all is located in the heart of Eastside Portland, Oregon and boasts a charming, industrial atmosphere featuring exposed cement walls flanked by warm wooden accents. You'll experience innovative yet approachable cuisine, an inspired menu of cocktails and beverages, all in a lively atmosphere.

It has been a passionate dream for Burma-born owners Kalvin and Poe to open a Burmese restaurant to be able to share their culinary culture. That dream came true in 2019 when Top Burmese opened as a virtual takeout only restaurant from a commissary kitchen in NW Portland.

Due to its authenticity, made to order, home-style cooking, and Burmese hospitality, Top Burmese traditional and modern Burmese dishes became so popular effectively evangelizing the masses to become Burmese Food fans.

Today Top Burmese serves its amazing dishes via various Burma themed restaurants.

I wish Terra could bring back a vegetarian-focused menu with options for adding meat/fish. As vegetarians we loved that Terra was there when we wanted a special night out with amazing, creative, delicious vegetarian food. I understand the business need for including more meat options for your diners, but it feels like a 180 for us. Really the only choices now for a vegetarian are pasta or pizza mains and a selection of shared small plates. Also, at 7 pm on Sat we didn't think we'd run into... "sorry we sold out of...." including pizza, which even further limited our choices.
