The 15-mile drive from downtown New Orleans will take you through the Jean Lafitte National Park. You’ll arrive at Restaurant des Familles and park under moss-filled century-old oak trees. The restaurant’s Acadian-style architecture provides a glimpse of bayou life that once was.

Went for our anniversary. We were give a champagne toast which was very nice. My husband had the steam shrimp appetizer. The shrimp were very hard to peel like they were overcooked. He ordered bone in ribeye and he was not crazy about it. It was very fatty and expensive. I had west coast oysters. They were very good but VERY expensive. Like over $40 for 6 oysters!! It said mkt price and should have asked. I ordered the salmon for my meal and it was delicious!! I would go back just to order that again. Service was great. Although the reviews are mixed I would definitely go back.

We always have a great dining experience when we go to Landry's! Whether it is on the outside deck or inside overlooking the Lighthouse, it is always a pleasant experience! The food was a great value, we all had the 2 course box lunch for $18.00 each, and the onion rings are always crispy! It was nice on a beautiful day to send off our friend to her new journey in life!

The food was excellent, but the service was slow. It took over 2 hours to have our dinner. We arrived 15 minutes early for our 7:00 pm dinner and. didn’t l finish until 9:00 pm. The restaurant was moderately busy. The food made up for it though. I had the crawfish boil and my wife had the grilled redfish etoufee. Both were excellent.For appetizers we had grilled oysters and alligator bites, both were really good. For dessert we tried their bread pudding which lived up to expectations.
