Food was fantastic as always - we did the omakase and it was a great variety! We had always ben downstairs previously so it was nice to be upstairs in the bar. We were there early so while it was busy it wasn't rowdy like you might think in a bar plus it is dominated by tables with some bar seats so it's more like a restaurant with slightly fewer options as downstairs. Loved the space but our waitress kind of lost us a few times so getting my 2nd drink took too long but otherwise it was great!

National Anthem will feature a variety of riffs on classic new
American. The space yearns for food that touches vintage but with a modern approach. You can
expect elements of both coasts with a straight-forward Texas sensitivity, hopefully capturing the
vibes of a big-city, downtown dining room.

National Anthem is housed within the Magnolia Oil building located at the intersection of Commerce
Street, Jackson Street, and Cesar Chavez Boulevard. The building was originally built in 1920 by the
Magnolia Petroleum Company, later renamed Mobil Oil.

Fun Facts:
• The triangular architechture of the building is known as a “flatiron” design.
• The angles of the trianglular shape of Town Hearth and the Magnolia Oil Building are within 2
degrees of one another.
• From the rooftop patio, customers will have clean sight lines of Downtown, Uptown, Deep Ellum,
and the Farmer’s Market.

We had a great experience here. It was our anniversary, and we were given a card signed by the staff congratulating us. The sushi was excellent and the service was top notch. Ambience and atmosphere of the restaurant was excellent as well.

Our birthday celebration included the sister of the birthday boy who is vegan. She knew there likely may not be many options but boy was she wrong! Geni even had vegan wine available for her! Everyone was able to enjoy the evening and it wouldn’t have been the same without Geni and Luke and the entire team!

First time and experienced 10/10. Maggie was our server and she was so great! We shared the pineapple pizza. And had the Giovanna Lemon drops. Garlic knots were killer. We all split the Greek salad too! Fantastic night can’t wait to go back.
