The menu showcases dishes of Michoacan, Mexico featuring both traditional and international ingredients, flair and flavors. Experience brought to you by chef Regino Rojas, multi time nominated chef for James Beard Award and numerous accolades all together. Wonderful, creative food in an environment that reminds you of eating in someone’s home served by the family who lives there. In reality, it is a family affair to prepare the food and Gino who describes each dish always paints a beautiful picture of the dish and its ingredients and its significance. Dining room seats only 8 at a communal table. Best restaurant experience in Dallas.

In the 1950's our grandfather, Giacomo, came to live the American Dream. He moved from Saviano, Italy to live in Long Island, New York. He met his wife and started a family, opening their first location in Long Island, New York, named Village Pizza. As business flourished, we moved to a larger location and changed the name to Alfieri Brothers’ Pizzeria. Again, we outgrew the size of the restaurant and relocated to a larger side of the center where we have remained since 1991. The following year, Saverio Alfieri decided to head south and expand the family business by opening a location in North Texas. Since then, Saverio and his two sons, Anthony and Giacomo, have managed to create one of Dallas/Ft. Worth’s best kept secrets. The Alfieri family has and will continue to serve authentic Italian recipes perfected by Grandma Alfieri herself.

Food was fantastic as always - we did the omakase and it was a great variety! We had always ben downstairs previously so it was nice to be upstairs in the bar. We were there early so while it was busy it wasn't rowdy like you might think in a bar plus it is dominated by tables with some bar seats so it's more like a restaurant with slightly fewer options as downstairs. Loved the space but our waitress kind of lost us a few times so getting my 2nd drink took too long but otherwise it was great!

The food is dependably delicious at Meso Maya. Love the queso blanca poblano and Del Mar enchiladas! However I’ve noticed over the last year the amount of avocado in the enchiladas has decreased to a minimal amount. It’s now just one little slice in each one. Disappointing.

Our birthday celebration included the sister of the birthday boy who is vegan. She knew there likely may not be many options but boy was she wrong! Geni even had vegan wine available for her! Everyone was able to enjoy the evening and it wouldn’t have been the same without Geni and Luke and the entire team!
