Everything was lovely from the start to the finish. Our server Emily was absolutely charming, and engaging. I have forgotten the name of the sommelier, but he was an excellent guide through the wine list to choose by-the-glass pairings for our meal. The Chateaubriand was delicious, quite the presentation! For dessert, they are known for their bread pudding but don’t sleep on the Paris Brest - just divine! I look forward to dining again on our next visit to Dublin.

About the restaurant
Modern Irish pub, serving the best in classic pub dishes with live music, fantastic drinks and superb service.

So that you know, our Christmas Sambo special is extremely popular and does sell out. We will always try to accommodate requests, but it may be gone by the time you arrive, and there may be a significant wait before it comes back in stock!

Grafton Street
About the restaurant
Dublin's most famous pub, certainly in a literary sense, with its Joycean associations. Always classy and fashionable. It's the original Dublin gastropub at over 100 years old.
Anybody who is familiar with Dublin pub food will be aware of Davy Byrne’s food reputation, in which seafood is the speciality.
If you visit the premises at lunchtime and evening time, you will witness the huge trade which is done in fresh Seafood, Wagyu Burgers and pub classics like Fish & Chips. There is also a full range of Salads and Sandwiches to compliment these and, as often as not, you can enjoy Oysters and Guinness.
The classic Gorgonzola sandwich with a glass of Burgundy as mentioned in Ulysses is available every day.
