A Neighbourhood Trattoria, in Carbis Bay, just outside the chaos of St Ives. Family run & neighbourhood focused serving seasonal and traditional, not typical, Italian food. We have a real heart for showcasing a side of Italian cuisine and culture that is often lost amongst what's more frequently seen in the Uk.

Seasonal plates paired with a carefully chosen, full-Italian wine list of over 150 wines (on rotation), daily made homebaked bread and desserts. Community and family at the forefront of how we shape our menus. The style of our service reflects this, multiple plates for the table to share, that come when they're ready, in no set order.

Open for coffee and serving fresh made sandwiches for lunch, six days a week, however we only take reservations for dinner.

lovely food and pleasant service. The 'outside' area has a room and side panels for adverse weather, and heaters if required. A regular favourite of ours

Tricky's Restaurant and Bar is a great place to dine. Our large restaurant offers cosy corners for intimate diners as well as space to accommodate large parties. We have created a varied menu to cater for all tastes and budgets. From light lunchtime bites to a hearty three course meal and, there's plenty for the children enjoy as well!

We offer fantastic food, wines, real ales and great service! Combine all these with a warm welcome and you can see why Tricky's is as popular as ever.

We are now open for breakfast Monday - Saturdays mornings between 9-11am.
We also now offer Afternoon Teas Mon - Sat 12-6pm - payment required at time of booking.

We had the light lunch fish and chips, and it was absolutely delicious and a great size meal, followed by Sticky Toffee pudding which I’ve never tasted better. The setting is lovely and the staff are very friendly and helpful, will be back again soon. Thank you for a lovely lunch with our friends.

We booked at Clowance specifically to take advantage of their “Seniors’ Lunch” with a couple of friends - we are owners/members and have been seeing it advertised and finally tried it. It’s a two course menu for £15 serving a main (7 options) and a dessert (3 options). Three of us had the Ham, egg and chips with the other having the Scampi and chips. Followed by two lots of Mixed berry Bread & Butter pudding, one of Summer berry Trifle and one of Moomaid Icecream. Service was friendly and attentive, and the food (portions sized for seniors) nicely cooked, presented and tasty. A more comprehensive lunch menu is available as well as the full range of their wines and drinks. Will definitely be going back for this again. Thank you to the team.

I would highly recommend this restaurant my only gripe would be that we waited 20 mins for our mains after the starters coming out reasonably quickly. I will say that the restaurant was busy so I would definitely allow for that. The food was delicious and plentiful and reasonably priced. The staff were attentive and helpful. All in all well worth a visit
