About the restaurant
Diners can enjoy some of the most authentic French food in the valley when they visit Le Petit Restaurant. With the air of a bistro that has come straight from a Paris street, Le Petit serves French fare and adds its own California twist. The look and feel make it a great date spot that is conveniently open for late night dining. The interior is masked in an Art Deco decor, framed by high ceilings and filled with candle-lit and linen-covered tables, framed art adorning the colorful walls, white curved booths, and hardwood floors. The menu runs through a range of creative dishes, like the blackened salmon, grilled entrecote (rib-eye steak), escargot, herb-roasted chicken, and more, including daily specials. On Monday and Tuesday nights Le Petit offers a special 1.5 pound live Maine lobster, with soup or salad for $45.95. A notable wine list and full bar give diners ample drink choices. Le Petit Restaurant is available for private parties

Le Petit is our go to restaurant for French fare. Very convenient for us Valley folk and not as stuffy as some of the other high end French restaurants. The duck was fantastic, as usual and my son was blown away by the soft shell crab main course. There's something to be said for a neighborhood place where you know you'll be satisfied every time. Final note: a $20 corkage fee is more than reasonable here in LA!

It’s a great caviar experience however we wanted a few other dishes to eat We got the baked potato with caviar fabulous We got the trio appetizer, and we ordered that twice We got the angel hair pasta with caviar fabulous The rest was just a caviar tasting, and we were looking to have caviar with our meal The weirdest thing was getting pickles with our caviar dill pickles like from a deli Having been to Russia, although they said this was very Russian I have never been served in any large city in Europe or anywhere in Russia . All in all we enjoyed our evening just wish we had more meal items

This bistro is like a great band that you love, but only a few people know about, and you don't want it to get too popular. This was the best restaurant experience I've had in LA in over 2 years. Every detail in this place is really thought through, and it shows. A well structured, simple yet not simplistic menu. A composed, intelligent wine list that was meant for the menu - so few restaurants really think this through, and this one does! An attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable staff. A clean space, with an elegant and yet casual vibe. From the water glasses to the chairs, every single detail here has been considered. I love that. The food was perfect. I mean, perfect. Ricotta with leeks tartine, moules frites, and a gnocchi that was so good I wanted to order it again. We topped off with the best creme brulee I've ever had in my life. The best. They even passed my end of the night espresso test, smooth and creamy. One suggestion - I think they should consider a few toasted slices of bread to go with moules because the broth is special, just like the whole place. My wife and I will be back, probably many times, this is a great restaurant.
