Some of Angelino Trattoria’s most popular dishes include the prawn-laden risotto con gambieri, the fettucine Bolognese with a meaty tomato sauce and the pollo marsala free-range chicken with mushrooms in rich wine sauce. Angelino Trattoria’s gourmet pizza is a definite must-try. Delicious choices include the Napoli with fresh mozzarella, anchovies, capers and olives and the shiitake mushroom with shaved parmesan, truffle oil and parsley. I have lived in the valley for over two decades and have never been to this restaurant. I took a chance and I’m glad we did. The food was absolutely delicious. The service was superior to most restaurants in LA. The waiter helped us choose an amazing bottle of wine from Paso Robles. it was very, very good. We will definitely be back.

Marino Ristorante is deeply rooted in Hollywood since the late 1950’s when Ciro (Mario to friends) Marino landed in Hollywood and has ever since had generations of who’s who in the movie, record, art, political and business LA community at his tables. Today it is still family owned and given its warm welcome flavor by the second generation of Marinos, Mario in the dining room and brother Sal in the kitchen.

The decor is modern and comfortable with memorabilia from a 60 year career which all come together to create its appeal. Described by many marrying the quintessential NY Italian in Los Angeles for its history coupled with today’s seasonal menu, highlighting the best locally sourced ingredients and top notch freshest seafood available.

Dinner dishes highlight the marriage of Italian techniques with Southern California ingredients including Pesce Crudo with citrus cured hamachi, kosho beet vinaigrette and hazelnuts, Burrata & Tomato with burrata pugliese, heirloom tomato, pine nuts, pesto and squash blossom, Casarecce with lamb sausage and rapini, Lumache - alla vodka, and a Whole Branzino with caramelized fennel.

The menu is designed for snacking over a glass of wine, sharing with friends and/or enjoying a more coursed out dining experience. Pasta, a focal point of the offerings, will all be made in-house.

The wine list is focused on fun, daring, low-intervention, natural wines to accentuate and complement the food. The primarily Italian focused list with opening selections from Sicily to Puglia will be rotating based on seasonality and availability.

This is just an old fashioned, good service, great food kind of place. They left us alone to enjoy our wine for quite a while. We spent hours there undisturbed and well taken care of.
