Throughout could have been better. Timing of food was perfect but service was delayed. Understood it was a peak day but it was not busy. Tables were held for no shows and people were turned away.

Lovely place for brunch. Nice ambiance and nice place to watch the water at Mothers Beach. We brought my maltipoo who loved seeing the other dogs as we walked in. I asked for a chicken breast for the pup and they brought out a chicken and veggie plate. Loved it but Logan didn’t lol. Staff was really busy but food came out quick. You just gotta have patience and not be in a hurry. Tropical margarita was yummy. Forgot the name but it’s yellow and sweet.

We’re from out of town and absolutely delighted we happened onto this Italian gem. Wonderful friendly and most helpful service (thank you Victoria) with generous servings of exquisite Italian food in a quiet setting overlooking the harbor. We’ll be back when we get back to Marina del Rey.

Blue Plate Taco is a coastal Baja-meets-Santa Monica destination on Ocean Ave. We are dedicates to creating all our food from scratch including the agua frescas and margaritas from the bar, the tortillas are made by hand fresh all day, and our salsas are made daily. The entire menu is fresh, light and delicious.

We hold most of our tables for walk-ins so if you don't see any reservations, don't fret! We'll get you seated after a short wait while you're admiring the Pacific and taking in the famous Santa Monica pier.

Reservations are limited to 90 minutes, we hold reservations for 15 minutes.

Food was good, atmosphere lovely. Service was slow and not very attentive to our needs. We had empty glasses for quite some time. Thee temperature dropped quickly and we asked for a heat lamp, we were told they would check and no one returned. There seemed to be plenty of staff members but everything took a long time.
