About the restaurant
Voted 2024 #1 Northern VA Magazine - "Michelin inspectors, take note."

Sourcing food and supporting local artisan growers and producers and utilizing our farm as the chefs pantry gives us the opportunity to create an evolving menu that draws its inspiration from the seasons and in harmony with the earth. The venue has a breathtaking view and natural setting overlooking the Potomac River.

We offer a tasting menu Thursday through Sunday evenings. Please visit our website at www.patowmackfarm.com for the menu.

Weddings, rehearsal dinners, corporate or special events – we strive to exceed your dreams. Innovative and skillfully executed dishes follow the lead of nature, being mindful of the environment.

Due to the style of menu on special events and holidays and the complexities involved with individual and specific food allergies, we are unable to accommodate dietary restrictions on those days. We make every effort to provide vegetarian and accommodate gluten sensitivities.

This is not just dinner. It’s an entire experience and I have loved every single time I’ve come. I hope they keep it small and farm to table that’s what makes it unique.

Arlington
About the restaurant
The menu follows a Southern-fried meat-and-three concept, meaning diners order a meat, plus three sides. Those will include Ruthie’s mac and cheese, of course, but also white-soy-braised greens, stewed chickpeas and smoked cauliflower with a spicy soy glaze. “We’re going to be changing it a lot based on seasonality,” Hill says of the menu. “ Every vegetable has got to be fantastic because it has to stand on its own.” One thing that will help that: Hill is already growing all of the restaurant’s own herbs at his South Arlington community garden plot.

Keira R. was our Server and did a fantastic job! She was polite, quick and checked on us often. Also, Gwen M. helped us find something that was lost. Really went above and beyond and much appreciated! Thank you both! We’ll be back soon! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Best restaurant in Luray hands down. Limited menu which provides enough choices. Everything is good. We went for dinner Thursday and Saturday night. Filet mignon was perfectly done medium rare. My wife's scallops were the best she has had in years. The cocktails were delicious and inventive. Restaurant is in a restored 2 1/2 story home with seating downstairs, upstairs, on the wrap around porch and in the back garden, John, our server, was excellent. He was attentive but not intrusive. Very easy to talk with. The service staff from the hostess to the server were excellent. The prices are the best we have had at a fine dining facility. Cannot recommend this place enough.

What a terrific experience. Our second to time there. The Duck and the Peach combines outstanding food and excellent service with a fun atmosphere and an inviting decor. Everything on the menu was original, interesting, and unusual, and not just for the sake of being different. It was delicious! With a name like The Duck and the Peach, you’d expect the rotisserie duck to be pretty darn good. It exceeds expectations. Other standouts were the duck liver pâté, honey nut squash, baby carrots, beet risotto, and mushroom polenta. The potato funnel cake was not as crispy or as truffly as I hoped; it was still good. The rotisserie chicken was tasty but dry, unlike the cooked-to-perfection sample we had our first visit. Desserts were a perfect complement to the meal. The pavlova and the chocolate trini’ tea’ were both outstanding and unique. The staff was appropriately engaging and fun. They do allow corkage at $45/bottle with a maximum of 2 bottles, which feels appropriate and is welcome. Wine service was impeccable. The only recommendation I would make for improvement would be to add some sound absorbing materials to the decor. I’ve been to louder fine dining establishments, and the four of us were able to converse without shouting, but it’s not a place for a quiet, romantic dinner. The noise level could come down a bit without killing the lively, fun atmosphere. Highly recommended. We’d go out of our way to dine there… We did, traveling from the Baltimore suburbs, and I’m sure we will again.
