We went for the Insta-worthy experience and were not disappointed. From the DJ to the cozy booth by the secret door, we were entertained by the place itself. Then the yummy food came and everyone was raving. Stuffed French toast, inventive drinks and Loco Moco pleased us all.

Most of the group had the Restaurant Week menu and really liked it -tasty and generous portions. Ordering off the regular menu was ok, but not outstanding - salmon tartare was creative as were the crackers, charcuterie was so-so. Our server was friendly and attentive. It was a little dark in the restaurant and as it filled up later in the evening the noise was louder than I like. Luckily we had a corner table so, it wasn't as bad as it could have been. Prices for dining out have definitely gone up all over, so value isn't as high as it used to be. Just have to get used to this!!! I would still recommend Sidebar.

This has become one of our special places. My wife & I had been here twice before, so it felt great that our server from months ago recognized us as we walked in. We brought family from out of town, who really enjoyed the charm of the old brick building, ( used by the Key System electric trains ) , the staff and , of course, the outstanding food.
