The meals consist of organic elements including grass-fed beef and pasture-raised, cage-free chickens. Local seafood options include wild Gulf shrimp, spicy Monterey squid and seared Ahi tuna, or visitors can take advantage of the raw seafood bar. Those looking for a vegetarian or vegan menu will find plenty of options available. The Slanted Door offers a family-style menu and a wide selection of desserts with an extensive bar menu to wash it all down.
Awesome experience! Highly recommend.
One of my favorites in SF!
It was incredibly loud. Difficult hearing my companion.
As always, amazing food and gorgeous views of the light show on the Bay Bridge. Cellophane noodles with Dungeness crab were delicious. Highly recommend!
We tried Slanted Door with out of town guests and were impressed and pleased with the experience. The food was surprising (unusual) and excellent, the service was friendly and competent, without being overbearing, and the ambiance and location are exceptional.
Food and drinks were great but service was not excellent. The servers made 2 separate drink errors and also forgot 2 drinks we asked them to order! You were busy that night but I’m sure you’re always busy, because the food is so good. We were impressed, however, that the bartender knew how to make a great Pisco sour!
Two out of four dishes we got were not hot enough when served. Otherwise the food was good but I think it is a little overpriced.
Spectacular dinner. The food was beyond delicious. We brought a wine that we had bought on our Napa portion of the trip. Will be a definitive come again spot.
The service is excellent and the foods we ordered tasted great. The shaking beef is tender though it's on the high price; it that why it's called shaking? LOL. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant to my friends and might bring my family as well.
Unreal food!!! Best place in SF. Can’t wait t return.
The food was delicious but fairly expensive for what you got. Our service could have been better the view was outstanding.
Excellent food. I had vienamese spring rolls and pho. Wonderful views.
Good food, but not every item on the menu perfect. Egg rolls were good, noodles good, clay pot catfish good. Seabass and squid just so so.
Terrific food, great location, great service. Cellophane noodles were the best part.
My only gripe with this, and most, restaurants is the unacceptable noise level
Food was honestly not impressive. Everything was very sweet and could taste that the chef put a ton or sugar in the dishes.
Drinks were also unmentionable. Most of them were high in sugar.
Our server was not that welcoming. She gave no recommendations and didn’t seem to care.
Overall, a highly disappointing experience.
Overpriced small bowls of PHO Service was horrible
portions have slimmed down, flavor still good, staff attentive & selection great.
The service lacks warmth, the room is too loud and busy, and the employees seem vaguely bored and haughty. Nice that they have a coat check though, and the food is good if no longer brilliant.
The food was excellent. Our particular server had an attitude. We felt rather patronized, but I'm sure he is the exception.
A wonderful experience and great view. Ask the waiters what to order if you are unfamiliar with Vietnamese cuisine. Reservations are a must. Make sure to use the bathrooms.
The food was good. A little overrated and the menu was limited. I would not say it was a must to go to when you are visiting sf.
Amazing Vietnamese restaurant near Fisherman's Wharf in SF. Great staff and tasty food, with good portions.
My family and I always have a good time at SD... Only minor criticism I have is the inconsistency in having our table cleared of dishes after each course.
What an awesome experience! The food is fantastic, the service in on point, the ambiance is fun and lively, and the views of the Bay Bridge and the bay itself are killer! Yes, this place is pricey (probably $100 per person if you get drinks, appetizers, full entrees, dessert, and tip about 20%) but you get the total package so it's worth it!
Great as always!
Food was so good, fresh, and delicious. Expensive...worth it especially since we had a gift certificate to help with the cost. Would go back anytime!
The food is always a delicious adventure here! We keep coming back —and ordering far more than we can eat, because we want to try everything.
The food is nothing close to what it used to be; it's still beautifully presented, but the flavors are neither bright nor interesting. This is a restaurant that is resting on past laurels and hype. Don't go.
Wow! It was everything we had heard! The noodles are amazing.
Service was great but food left more to be desired. The entire meal was doused in MSG!
I went with some Vietnamese people. I’d heard so much about it that we were excited. I’d say that everything was ok. Nothing too good or bad. The whole fish was tasty but perhaps not fresh. Boo Choi was very good. Cocktails good. The two complaints I had are that the ribs, which were Chinese influenced, were tough—maybe they were older or over cooked; and our waiter disappeared for long periods of time and we were a party of 6. She maybe came 2x to table over the entire dining period. Anyway, the main attraction is the view.
The food and cocktails never disappoint at this longstanding favorite of ours, having "discovered" when it was on Valencia street so many years ago now. The cocktails are amazing. Our out of town guests loved it all. I just wish that the pricing was a tad less than it is....so it would seem better value. The service was generally attentive without being overbearing; I rated it lower because of a mix-up in the payment that I had gone to some length to arrange to my credit card in advance.
Order the diakon/rice cake it is amazing for something that sounds so simple. We also had the shaking beef and the crab nodles both of which were excellent. One the best SF restaurants.
The Slanted Door never fails to be good. I've been there multiple times and every always likes it
Amazing food but a little too full and too busy
I have good experiences here before, but not this time. The food was unremarkable and over priced.
The service was poor and the attendant wasn’t very friendly.
