   Booked a table for 7, when we arrived it was very noisy there was a DJ and we were sat next to a very loud group who appeared be just drinking. Would have been a nice atmosphere had it been later in the evening but the party vibe wasn’t suitable for 7pm dinner.

   the booking system didn't work so I just walked in..long waiting for the service..the restaurant loud everywhere..shouting drunk people (ladies)..gin&tonic arrived without gin and after when replaced without tonic..over priced..I spent 104 pounds alone..starter,main and dessert with 1 gin&tonic

   My mother and her girlfriends came here a few weeks ago and recommended this place. We returned with our family for Mother’s Day. However the service wasn’t at all the same. Terrible service. The bread was stale. Lobster linguine was awful no sauce , no chilli very dry. One of our starters the food was cold yet the plate was hot so clearly had been on the side for a while. Our waiter missed out on specific orders - tap water for the table, first round of some individuals drinks. No side plates were provided for to butter the bread etc.. Waiters couldn’t serve because it wasn’t there area yet our ‘assigned’ waiter wasn’t very efficient at all. We asked the host for flowers with a vase as our bag broke upon arrival - we had to chase for this continuously. The atmosphere and restaurant itself was very nice , menu was nice. However sadly let down by food and service which is such a shame as we anticipated a really good night from our recommendation.

    We went for the sharing roast with bottomless red wine. We felt we got our money's worth with the red wine and the chateaubriand was very delicious. However, we felt that the rest of the items on the sharing roast - the potatoes, vegetables and yorkshire puddings, while delicious, were minimal. We heard 3 other tables make similar comments to the staff, there just didn't seem to be enough for two. I was also very disappointed with the cauliflower cheese, it lacked sauce and was very dry. The servers were friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was pleasant. Overall, we had a good time, but the food and portion size would need improvement.

    Staff serving were excellent. I had the bottomless red wine and they regularly topped up the glasses. The lamb and pork were delightful. Would recommend and will 100% return.

    Bright and welcoming restaurant by the water. We had a delicious Sunday roast which was piping hot when it arrived which is often hard to come by! The servers were friendly and very accommodating, will be recommending Smith's to friends.

    Incredibly noisy restaurant, drilling noises so had to move table which seemed to annoy the server, who was already quite frosty. Asked for appetisers but they were forgotten. Food was mediocre. Not a suitable venue for a business meal. Disappointing.

    It seemed that getting two of the same dish would be worth your money as the sharing boards portions looked a lot smaller despite it equalling the same cash amount Food was nice but not hot at all Gravy was filled half way (for 2 people!) and then we requested for another portion to only get yet another ‘half’ cold serving for £1.50? I had to request for more free flowing wine, which led to additional waiting despite staff walking up and down My chair broke!? and it could have resulted in a very bad accident (I fell to the floor) the manager just swapped the chair no one checked if I was okay throughout the rest of the meal nor was there any sort of compensation or gratitudes given Asked if we wanted a dessert menu but never received one When we requested to take service charge off we were asked why and we had to explain ourselves which was ridiculous Only now can I fully digest how awful this experience was

    Very disappointed. This was my second visit. The first was on a weekday and I ordered the beef rib. Expensive, tasted ok but only 3 mouth full and the plate was done. Terrible value for money. However, as I has already booked for a family Sunday lunch we decided to go and give it another try. So so disappointing. Had a chicken for 2 people. A Poussin baby chicken between 2 people, with 2 roast potatoes each and the smallest amount of vegetables. It was in fact a generous 1 person potion between 2 people. Also ordered the beef at around £48. Again, very little on the plate. This restaurant is really terrible value for money. We also overheard another customer complain about potion sizes also, so clearly we are not alone. It’s clear this restaurant wants to cut cost by giving tiny portions. I eat out all the time and would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. The food itself was fine, but nothing special, the potion sizes are like kids meals and the value for money is shocking !!!!!!

    Venue was great right next to the canal. Place not to busy and waited for my friend while was 10mins late. Prosecco was regularly topped up and food was nice. My only complaint is that I asked for hard yolks and they weren't but a relatively small issue

    It took 25 mins to be asked for our order. The food eventually arrived 1h 10 mins after sitting down. The waiter said he hadn't asked earlier as he thought we were waiting for someone. I'd expect a good waiter to check/ask if we wanted to order before then. The booking was for 3 people, and there were 3 of us seated. The food looked dry, as if it had sat on the Pass for 10 mins - despite us asking the waiter a few times to chase it up. Our business customer had to eat quickly, as he'd only allowed 1h 30 mins to meet and eat. Poor service, poor food.

    Service was very slow. Food options limited because of the time we booked. Missing items which we weren’t informed about but when asked extra sides were given instead. Food was lovely. I’m sure when this place is fully staffed, it will be perfect

    Excellent food and service. Jersey oysters, Potted shrimp, Lobster, Halibut and Dover Sole all prepared/served to perfection, with lovely spinach and celeriac puree. Extensive complementary wine list. Staff polite, funny and attentive without being intrusive. Great evening, highly recommend. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for.

    Went for NYE party. The ambiance is great. Food is too salty. I wonder if they singled us out for that or everyone had a salty food I wonder. The area is hard to find I guess not unless you’re a Londoner. The price is way too pricey for the service. I do not recommend.

    Took my wife to Smiths Bar & Grill to celebrate New Years Eve. They were offering five course menu with a glass champagne for the night. Upon arriving we were given a table near the bar which seemed sectioned off from the actual restaurant. We queried this with management who said it was part of the restaurant . To be fair the area did liven up and by 11:30pm the area filled up with carnival dancers and other diners making for a nice atmosphere. However the food was average and the service left a lot to be desired. Our waiter was ok but some members of staff looked like they wanted to be anywhere else but there. It also seemed to take staff forever to make a cocktail when the bar did not even seem to be that busy. I was also overcharged by half the price on the initial bill given. I queried this with the waiter who went to quey management and later came back with the correct bill. I found this strange because as it was NYE all diners had to pay a deposit of half the amount in order to secure a table in the first place. So I'm not sure how they could make the mistake adding the additonal amount. So this seemed deliberate to me. Overall I would not recommend Smiths Bar & Grill they seem like an establishment more concerned with making the maximum income as possible as opposed to offering the best customer experience. It is a nice looking bar but you can certainly eat better food elsewhere and for cheaper.

    I was a little early, so I didn't expect to be waited on until my scheduled reservation time. That was true. In fact, about 20 minutes passed before anyone came to take my order. I was warned that they were having difficulty in the kitchen. However, since everyone had to make a reservation (I reserved several MONTHS in advance), they should've known how many they would have at what times. I was served my appetizer in good time, but it was well over an hour and a half before I received my main course. I can't say I was impressed when it did arrive. Instead of turkey meat sliced from an actual turkey, it was formed, round turkey pieces, which, in the US, at least, come in inexpensive rolls that are sliced. There was a circle that I can only assume was the stuffing, since nothing else fit the bill. The potatoes were cooked to the extent that the outside part was unchewable. I've no idea what the other things on the plate were other than the Yorkshire pudding. To say I was disappointed, is an understatement. And the noise level was just beyond belief. It was certainly not a restaurant experience. I really wanted to like this, since I'd been looking forward to it for so long. I understand the waiters had a difficult road, and they generally did much better than the kitchen. But the meal left something to be desired when one considers it was supposed to be a traditional Christmas dinner.

    1st time ever going out for Christmas dinner. Inexperience of doing thus we chose Smith as we have eaten here before on Sunday. The experience was awful. We had starter than waited over hour and 15 mins for main meal which consisted of one roast potato, 2 tiny sprouts, 2 very small slices of carrots and turkey that was like processed rubber meat. The stuffing was undercooked and all was cold. We did ask for Yorkshire puddings but they didn’t arrive. We had to ask for more gravy as it was so dry. The waiters were so helpful but under a lot of pressure. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I should of read the reviews from last year as it seems nothing has changed. We spend almost £500 for 5 people to than go home and eat.
