Californian
Spago Beverly Hills, Wolfgang Puck's legendary, flagship restaurant, continues to set the standard for cuisine, service and style, and is consistently recognized as the ultimate in fine dining. Spago presents a completely new menu and design. The master chef has re-invented the entire menu with his signature farm to table philosophy. Puck, along with Managing Partner and James Beard Award-winning Executive Chef Lee Hefter, creates imaginative seasonal menus showcasing the best of California’s produce and products. Spago's new design from Waldo Fernandez complements the food with its clean and simple aesthetic, incorporating natural elements to add an organic feel. Spago is the recipient of the AAA Four Diamond Award and received two stars in The Michelin Guide-Los Angeles edition, one of only three restaurants in the city to win this coveted distinction.

Excellent Service!!! I arrived 30 minutes late to my reservation and instead of telling me to F Off, they kindly seated me and treated me with most respect while serving great tasting foods!

Service was great, but the food was unfortunately underwhelming.

Here’s what I had:

- The octopus appetizer was coated with an interesting charcoal like flavor and texture and placed in a coconut. It was unique, but not especially tasty.

- The lobster in the garganelli with lobster was great -- very fresh. But the squid ink pasta itself was kind of flimsy and didn’t taste homemade. The sauce was nothing special.

- The scallops in the scallop entree were perfectly cooked and delicious, but everything else going on on that plate felt sort of haphazard and didn’t all go together particularly well.

- My “Indecent Exposure" cocktail was good. My glass of wine was fine.

- The bread was great.

What I’ve been told about this place is true -- you’re definitely pay for the “scene.” My meal cost me about $175 that would have been better spent elsewhere.

We understand why Wolfgang Puck spends so much time in his flagship restaurant Spago, it offers all that fine dining establishments should. Great service, outstanding food, a classic bar and lovely patio dining. The furniture in the bar area could use a refreshing but the overall ambiance is exceptionally pleasant and the service is outstanding.

Overall It was amazing! They even took us to the kitchen and showed us how the food was prepared. That was definitely a priceless experience.

The food was ok. There are a lot of amazing dishes, such like the agnolotti, the abalone fish and chips, the olive oil salmon. However, the rest on our testing menu was just ok.

Next time when we go, we will just get the signature dishes.

It must have been a bad night for Spago. We went in at 5:30pm, the time the restaurant opens. But it was not until around 6:30 pm, the bread was served. My cocktail was not available until 6:55 pm. And the bottle of red wine I ordered showed up at least one hour and 30 minutes after we placed the order......

We love Spago and go regularly but even the best restaurants don't have a way to prevent a meal being ruined - by inconsiderate guests who marinade in perfume/cologne. To enjoy food or wine you need your sense of smell that was assassinated by a guy next to us who had overindulged in his cologne. That is unmanageable risk - spending $100's per person and being disappointed.

Really enjoyed the DineLA experience- having dined all over the world - kept finding myself comparing it to the Ritz London (3 star Michelin rated) - our family had a wonderful time on the kitchen tour. Excellent service - from the server, food runners, wine service - very good !

Food was delicious as usual but service was very slow at the onset. I found myself looking for our waiter numerous times to place our order. I would expect top notch, attentive service for these prices.

Great restaurant. As a „newcomer“ you have to argue for a suitable table. Usually try try to sell the „bad tables“ to the newcomers.

From the moment we walked in to the moment we left we were treated with nothing but class, respect and tremendous attention to detail! The food for the price point is fantastic with a generous portion you will not leave hungry! I recommend this iconic restaurant to anyone visiting and wants to see the heartbeat of Wolfgang puck and has phenomenal cuisine and staff!

Everything was over the top delicious with the exception of the fish entree. It was inedible salty and over seasoned. I was already so full from all the previous courses so regretfully I did not mention it to our waiter.

I was expecting better pizza. I ordered the most expensive pizza (white truffle)
But it was lacking the givem ingredient as well as the pizza itself was below average. I didn’t get what I paid for.

I had octopus soup ( as appetizer) in a coconut bowl, which was great and gave me the impression that the pizza will be amazing but it was disappointing

Was not informed in advance of pre-fixed menu. Restaurant called few hours prior to dinner time and requested that we prepay for dinner at $175/pp
They should post this or whatever they plan ahead of time on Opentable or their website so we know ahead of time...

The service was challenged as we had to repeat ourselves for the basics. Food was fantastic. Ambience for the bar area exquisite but the main dining felt lacking. Michelin 2 star level, no. One star, perhaps. Highlight of the night, the Schnitzel!

I have always loved Spago. But the wait before I was seated was too long and the sofas in your waiting area are worn out. It’s time to reupholster them.
