Spago - Beverly Hills
The service was amazing but disappointed that we had a 400 tap and the food came out cold
Spectacular food and wine list. Wonderful service and ambiance made for a fantastic evening
Been there numerous times and every single time they deliver. Still the best restaurant in Beverly Hills and it has continued to get better. Chef Tetsu and the team are firing on all cylinders and it is the perfect place for a special occasion or just dinner. 7 wedding anniversaries in a row here, each one gets better and better.
Awesome experience
Needed a candle on table...so dark hard to see menu. Menu font too small. Veal delicious...steak not cooked to order and chewy. Potatoes were like what I would imagine glue to the the consistency of. Disappointed.
Perfect for lunch.
Mr puck needs to get back involved. The place has been special for 30 years and this was a great disappointment.
The classic - chicken salad was a miss. Others have surpassed
The pizza is left in the late 90’s
Service was fair Ana Dror actingnout the part of a waiter
Mate at Wolfgang express and it was better
The appetizers & main course were good, the life music was great.
But for 460$ Valentine's dinner package that we paid advance it wasn't worth it, why :
First,we had to ask complimentary champagne, if not they wouldn't give to us (the waiter seems didn't know about what included on that dinner).
Second, when we booked reservation we already mentioned that the wife has peanut/nuts allergic, so for two Michelin stars restaurant they should informed to the waiter,we mentioned again to waiter that the wife has allergic and asked him to pointed which menu has peanut/nuts,he said all good to go.After waited for dessert for long time it arrived but it had nuts (underneath the sorbet/ice cream). The waiter nowhere to be found so we asked another guy who cleaned the table (with black uniform) if they make new one with nuts on the side.He said that the cake actually has peanut/nuts so (seems he had more knowledge than the waiter),he said he'll change the dessert to another one (they only have 2 dessert options at it for share).Waited ted for a long time again another guy with suit came & gave the wife a plate of fresh fruit (we were so confused) & said that the other dessert will come soon. Not sure why it took way to long and it already 10.30pm (we arrived there at 7.30pm, so it's been 3 hours) and still no dessert. We were so disappointed & still hungry but couldn't wait too long so we just asked for the bill ( we had to asked twice just for the bill). Finally the waiter came and said that no need to pay for the 3 wines that we ordered (the drinks was not included from the package) & he apologized about the dessert said that the wife only told him peanuts but no nuts,so I said to him you could check on the reservation that we mentioned peanuts/nuts.
For two Michelin stars restaurant & they charged that much for dinner with no dessert & they already charged automatically for 22% of tips with that kind of service?? It was very bad and you can't mess up with people's allergies
Music was too loud. Food was ok. Had to send back a dish, it was terrible. Not up to Spago standards.
Always great
Birthday celebration. The restaurant was great!
Spago is an icon. Still a great scene. Every table was full. Good food. Better wine. Service was on point. Definitely spendy. Be prepared. Favorite dish was the French black truffle on tagliatelle.
Food is ok but nothing surprised.
Just a good place for friends getting together.
Had a 9:30 pm reservation, and got seated at 9:45 pm, outside on the coverred patio right next to the giant fireplace. Took a while to get the drink order, had the Spicy Tuna Tartare, good but not Wow!, plus the Oysters which were very good. Teh Hong Kong Style Bay Cod was very good, the New York was too small and cold. Recommended Dessert was an apple souffle very good.
Overall, too expensive, overhyped and music was too loud for a dinner service. Good experience but I don't think we'll go back.
We are really like the A5 wagyu beef, because it is amazing! The environment is vintage and copy of outdoor.
Poor service. Long wait for menus and to place order. Tasteless mussels. Thai Chicken Salad a big disappointment as well. A shame cause it used to be great for lunch
Excellent dinner with amazing service ! We will come back
Service was fantastic. Wolfgang even came out to greet us!
The food was perfect, delicious and was a sight to behold. The Sea Bass and the layered chocolate dessert was delicious. Highly recommended.
Leslie, my waitress, was very helpful and did a great job in explaining the menu, along with the wine selections. The restaurant was busy and it was a little loud so for groups it's a great locale. The bar area is small with some seating but the bar staff was very friendly and engaging.
Old friends getting together
You nedd now ! Nice place !eclectic people , Amazing food with good Music
Server billed us $200 over on our already $500 bill. What a joke- if you’re paying so much for service and the food how can they add an extra bottle of wine two extra desserts and they kept ‘running out’ of the dishes we ordered and recommended new dishes that were double the price. We expected a high bill but I would never trust the service here again and feel taken advantage of.
Great good great service!
Eating at Spago is always a wonderful dining experience. I look forward to our next visit.
I just bumped into more than 10 times. I had a train hit me in the head by a waitress at the next table. They forgot our salad. In my opinion the tables are placed too close to each other and the sea in arrangements or not all that desirable
It was a lovely night with my family, our server was very professional and engaging person. Food was amazing, Tuna cone was not so great, very sweet all in all great dinner.
The original classic did not disappoint. The exceptional service, wonderful ambience, and high quality food were an absolute delight, topped off by a tableside visit from Wolfgang himself. Many restaurants rest on their laurels and are unable to maintain their edge and consistency.....but not Spago.
This was our first time at Spago - Beverly Hills. The overall experience was first rate. Well worth the cost.
Everything we ordered was delicious. The staff was very friendly.
Charmless box of a main dining room with essentially no decor. Our small table for 4 even lost its sole decoration—a battery operated candle—once food was served as there was no space. It is incredibly loud and dim, and the few inventive menu items hardly justified the hype or the prices. Service was very good, wine list had some good values, but would not recommend. A faint shadow of the Spago that used to be.
Delicious meal. Other than the oh-so-impatient hostess, absolutely no compliants.
I hate to leave such a bad review but we had to send 3/5 dishes back. Almost everything we asked was answered with a non-caring “No.” We are huge fans of WP and eat at many of his restaurants but this was a huge miss.
Outstanding waiter. Totally enjoyed the
Experience.... as always. He is always very pleasant.
Very nice not great
It was terrific as always but the noise level was intolerable. We had a business client from NYC and we had to “scream” at each other to be heard. The tables were too close together.
The food and service alike were amazing. A truly memorable experience.
The food was subpar. The sous vide salmon was mealy, the black cod was under seasoned, the whole meal was completely meh.
Amazing food. The most expensive in menu is meat- 165 doll. , but it was delicious! You can’t find this quality anywhere. Life fireplace, nice background music, cultured public.
Haven’t been to Spago’s in some time. Food was fine, but the smoked salmon pizza came with the wrong of caviar, so we were a bit disappointed. Service was very good as was the wine list.
Spago, never a disappointment!
A true fine dining experience and the DineLA dinner didn’t disappoint for sure.
Gorgeous food and beautiful platings made for a truly special meal.. And that consummate host, Wolfgang graced us with his presence visiting the tables.. Spago’s is definitely a first class restaurant!
