Very nice restaurant to enjoy whit family or friends
Loved my second visit to Spring. Wonderful food, impeccable service and the most beautiful surroundings.
This is my favourite restaurant in London. It’s beautiful, the service is fantastic and the scratch menu is great and exceptional value. The surroundings are elegant and calming. The staff are so convivial and work very well together - you always have a laugh with them as well as them being engaged, on the ball and passionate about their work.
Possibly the prettiest restaurant in London.
and the food is divine.
Fantastic food, great staff and wonderful atmosphere. I Iove it there.
Perfect food, lovely staff and a beautiful room. An ideal place for a special lunch. We had the set lunch and each course was delicious
Interesting and unusual menu, delicious food, well served, in beautiful room. We were sat by noisy table of 8 who were inconsiderate of others - but to his credit our waiter noticed our discomfort and arranged with front of house to move us to other end of the restaurant after our first course. Impressively attuned to customer needs - well done. We will return
Fun atmosphere; very good food although options are limited. Servers were really nice just not very attentive
We had the set lunch menu, and the quality of the food and service was superb. Special mention goes to the homemade bread, the quality of which I think always indicates what will follow
One of the best meals in a long, long time. Imaginative dishes, perfectly proportioned and prepared. An airy room with lots of spaces between tables added to the sense of wellbeing. We will go back soon.
My second time didn't disappoint and indeed, my guests were very impressed with every aspect of the experience, food, ambience, service were all up to a very high standard. Keep up the good work. A fan.
Delicious food that is very seasonal and innovative. Staff were superb - friendly, interested, interesting and very knowledgeable. The atmosphere was fantastic and despite being a large spacious room the acoustics were good.
Beautiful restaurant, stunning food and really lovely waiting staff. It is expensive but definitely worth it for a special occasion!
Excellent service in a lovely setting with great ambience. We went pre-theatre and had a mix of starters and main courses and all we delicious, well prepared and had nice twists with fresh ingredients. The wine list is on the more expensive side but it was lovely all the same. Highly recommend this for a special occasion or nice meal out!
Set lunch was excellent. Staff were happy to modify it to accommodate my food intolerances. Very stylish ambience and interesting wine.
Skye Gyngell's cooking is utterly magical. We both had the set lunch, each choosing the other set of options and then wishing we could eat the menu twice over. Surprised not to be served bread and butter. Service somewhat slow, but charming. We will go back - often.
I absolutely love the design of this restaurant, I find it one of the most calming rooms. Lunch here was absolutely delicious, with great service. Razor clams as a starter was small but beautifully flavoured, followed by a delicious lamb and anchovy sauce, and a lovely rhubarb jelly panacotta to finish.
A second visit to Spring after two years. Food was world-class, a tortellini with goat cheese like a cloud, all dishes so beautiful and inventively presented. The room remains stunning, totally conceived down to the stylish white serving uniforms.
Service was sorely lacking this occasion. We felt abandoned, even though the room was half-filled on arrival and after raising the issue with a hostess before ordering. After dinner we asked for management, described how no one took a drink order and that no one seemed to be in charge of our table, nor checked on us, ever. We were sorely disappointed and unnecessarily troubled by what should have been a stellar evening. The food deserves it. Our youngish server was perfectly lovely just wasn't there for us. Management didn't seem capable of following up. A shame.
This is far and away in my opinion the restaurant that represents the best value for exemplary food and service, offering less well known and carefully sourced seasonal ingredients. Every experience is enhanced by the well-trained, knowledgeable yet relaxed staff and each visit presents the diner with ingredients that they haven’t encountered before, well-partnered with perfectly cooked and sourced meats and fish. The cocktails and wines are inventive and fairly priced. The ambience is restful and relaxed yet buzzy. I don’t know how they do it!
Love this place. Staff are very friendly, food always inventive and delicious. Great room. Nothing about it I don’t like.
Overpriced food outflanked by more progressive restaurants in London at this point for half the cost. Lovely ambience, but they forgot a side dish we ordered. Biggest problem is they don’t ask temperature on meat fishes and cooking lamb to medium and drying out fowl was unfortunate. More of a tourist trap catering to those who value environment over cuisine.
Exceptional value. My favourite room in London with wonderful fresh seasonal light cooking
Charming service and excellent food matched the beautiful surroundings. The room really is a work of art.
First time there after meaning to try it for a long time. The Food was utterly delicious especially the starters. Will be back as soon as possible!
I'm afraid I left feeling disappointed. The menu was very good, in particular the starters which were sublime. Our main courses were tepid at best and my lamb ( served pink) was overcooked. Our waiter was very attentive in describing the dishes and attending to my dinner partners pre arranged allergy however the wine waiter was over bearing and somewhat dismissive in his attitude. We left feeling that a rather expensive meal was average overall in execution. That said we will revisit Spring in the future as I can't help feeling we just happened to choose a bad evening........ which we all have from time to time.
I must compliment the menu itself which is excellent and the staff uniforms are incredible for the restaurant surroundings.
It was everything we wanted, and more. Such care and attention to the food and the waiting staff were so knowledgeable and helpful. Beautiful surroundings. Highly recommend it to all
Although we were informed that on the day we went there would be a 'scratch menu' we were still happy to go to Spring.
Everything about Spring is great but it has to be said on this occasion the menu wasn't up to their high standards and the food, although obviously carefully prepared, didn't equal the usual a la carte menu.
A mistake was made when the starter plates were placed before us and my wife, a very long term vegetarian, was given the meat option. This was quickly sorted as soon as she realised the error and the bill was reduced to a bill for three instead of a bill for four.
In spite of these little hiccups I would still be more than happy to dine at Spring in the future.
About my 5th time at Spring, it’s always great.
I had the razor clams with chorizo to start, then monk fish.
Both were superb. Everyone loved their meals.
Slightly underwhelmed with my sponge pudding, should of gone with the treacle tart!
We booked a table for lunch at Spring due to its location near Temple Place. The food was tasty and original if lacking a little wow. The price was reasonable as one had the two course menu and the other just a main course but think it would get quite pricey with full a la carte and bottle of wine.
The setting, space and service however were stunning. We would definitely return if we are in the area.
The restaurant was a little difficult to find however it was well worth it. Staff very informative friendly and professional the food excellent and good portions considering it was fine dining. The wine was a little expensive but probably compatible with other London restaurants. A great find.
We sampled the Pre theatre scratch menu.It was wonderful very well presented and delicious to eat . The whole ethos behind this is fantastic and something we should all be aiming for -well done. The experience was made all the richer by the waiter,Augustin ( not sure that’s right but he was from Portugal ! ) who was attentive and charming without being pushy. Will definitely recommend and will definitely return. Thank you.
The scratch menu is great in theory but the restaurant rushed our meal and were actually very snooty about us ordering the menu. The meal was hectic and not very satisfying. It was disappointing and I think we would have had a different experience if we were ordering from the main evening menu.
Wonderful meal. We ate the lamb and veal and both were perfect.
Absolutely amazing food - everything we had was delicious. Friendly staff, lovely airy ambiance, not too loud - can actually have a conversation.
We had a really lovely evening at Spring. The staff were charming, the atmosphere was elegant, calm and relaxing, and the food was absolutely delicious. We will definitely return.
We had to send a meal back after waiting ages for the 3 of us to be served.
Best birthday dinner ever! Scallops are to die for. Sommelier, wine selection and pricing of wine outstanding. We'll be back
The Scratch menu was outstanding. Very tasty, beautifully presented and GREAT value. The service was outstanding with very helpful and knowledgeable wait staff.
We will definitely be back!!
We absolutely love Spring, one of the best restaurants in London in our opinion ! Amazing, incredibly fresh produce of the highest quality, incredibly attentive and friendly staff and the chocolate cake is to die for !!
Yet another brilliant business lunch at Spring. Amazing food and service as one would expect. Expensive but definitely worth it.
